Summary: Some of the best books ever
Review: The Christy Miller series and also the Sierra Jenson series have been some of the best books i have ever read. Robbin Jones Gunn is such a wonderful writer that you can't help but keep reading. After I had finished reading the Christy Miller Series and Todd and Christy the college years I had to recomend it to my friend who ended up loving them just as much as I do. We have actually stayed up very late together reading our books. The Book "Summer Promise" is what really gets you attached to the characters and is a wonderful beginning. Christy Miller ends up going to visit her aunt and uncle in southern California for the summer and to her surprise ends up getting a makeover from her aunt. Her aunt Marti then encourages her to go make some friends on the beach which ends up being the start to a few very special friendships and Christy also meets a lucky guy who she ends having more than a friendship with but that is all I am going to say. All the friends then have to deal with a close friends death and that is extremly sad. This book over all was one of my favorites and I recomend it to anybody looking for a great romantic, christian novel.

Summary: An excellent replica of the Christian teen-aged girl's life!
Review: The Christy Miller Series is a wonderful showcase of a typical teenaged girl's quest to please her Father. Christy's life, shown through a series of twelve books, changes dramatically from beginning to end. From becoming a Christian to losing and old friend and gaining many new ones, she quickly reminds readers that are not alone when it comes to experiences, good or bad. Christy Miller travels to many places as readers share her many feelings about life, love, and most of the Christian world.

Summary: Sharing the Promise
Review: The promise shared is one of holding on to your dreams, and holding out for God's best. My sister Mandy and I read this book when she was a freshman in high school, and I, a twenty-three year old, stay-at-home mom of a little girl named Lindsey.

When Mandy and I shared these special moments in the life of this fictional girl known as Christy Miller, we laughed, and we cried. We learned together what it was like to relate to the joys and trials of a young woman going through the kind of change that one goes through when getting to know God in a personal way. The memories for my sister and I will be long remembered. This past Christmas Mandy handed down her "Christy Miller" collection to Lindsey. Again, the promise will be shared, even as I read the books with my twelve year old daughter. Lindsey is already introducing her younger sister, Lauren, age four, to all her "friends" from the Christy Miller series! The sharing of another promise to "read the books together" has been made.

The writings of Robin Jones-Gunn are a true legacy. Her love for the Lord and her desire to share that love and the joy of knowing Him are ever present in her works. I can not thank the Lord enough for her giftedness as an author. The quality and moral integrity with which she addresses her audiences is a true joy to myself, as an avid reader, and also as the mother of a young girl in search of an adventerous and realistic read.

Summary: Great! You have to read it! I mean it!
Review: This is the only book I've read in the Christy Miller Series, but I want to read the other ones too. It was really interesting, and the plot kept changing so that it was exciting. You wouldn't have guessed what happens next. The story is aboput Christy going to her aunt and uncles house in California for the summer. Her aunt wants her to "become her own person." Her aunt gives her a complete makeover and spoils her beyond her dreams. Christy changes her outside appearance, but she'll change herself on the inside also. I recommend this book to anyone. I really liked it, I couldn't stop reading it. I am going to read the rest of the books in the series now.

Summary: Very realistic!
Review: This was a very enthusiastic book. Everything about this book seemed to apply to my own life. My favorite part of this book would probably have to be the part were she decides to become a christian. At the beginning she actually thought she was a christian because she had always gaone to church, but Todd opened her eyes and told her all about the lord and all that he's done for him and how much he could do for her. I became a christian when I was eight years old and I have not regreted it. I really think anyone that isn't a christian should read this book. You should probably read it if you are a christian. Everone should read this book, it will really open your eyes!

Summary: Absolutely the best Christian series for teens ever!
Review: Wow. I was amazed when I read this book and fell completely in love with the series. Although I don't think it is the best of Robin Jones Gunn's 12-book series about Christy Miller, you should read them all in order. 14 year old Christy goes to the beach to spend the summer with her rich aunt and uncle. She meets Todd, Doug, Tracy, and lots of other friends who are all so wrapped up in "The Lord". Christy, who grew up in a Christian home but never understood what it was all about, develops a crush on Todd. In time, Christy becomes a Christian...but I'm not going to tell you what happens with Todd! All I can say is, read the entire series. And then read the Sierra Jensen series, which kind of continues the story. They are all among the best books I've ever read, not to mention definately the most spiritually uplifting. And extremely romantic. Especially number 12!
