Rating: Summary: THIS IS MY FAVORITE Review: I LIKE THIS BOOK ALOT. IT'S SO FUN, AND SAD AND ALOT OF THINGS. HER AUNT AND UNCLE SPOIL HER, SHE HAS FRIENDS AND SHE MEETS A CUTE SURFER NAMED TODD. THEY SHOULD BE TOGETHER HE IS SO NICE TO HER AND HE IS A CHRISTIAN, EVERYTHING A CHRISTIAN LADY LOOKS FOR.I REALLY, REALLY, LIKE THIS BOOK.
Rating: Summary: Absolutely fabulous!!!! Review: I loved this book. It is truely magnificent. Very true to life. Some adults don't realize the pressures of a teen's everyday life, religion, dating, school, friends, etc. And yet this book covers all angles FABULOUSLY! Maybe thats why I like it so much!
Rating: Summary: Hooked by line and sinker! Review: I luv this book! Ne1 who loves romance, reality, and just a good book to curl up with should read this. Todd is such a great guy, and Christy a really sensitive, caring person, that the 2 go terrific together! Read this book! ;)
Rating: Summary: This book is the best! Review: I think this is one of the best books I've ever read. I love the entire serries, and I can't wait for the new one to come out in June 2000! I liked this book so much because it talks about stuff teens go through everyday. Theres ALWAYS something going on in the book and you never get bored reading it. I think every teen out there should be reading this book!
Rating: Summary: One of my adolescent favorites Review: I was fourteen years old when this book was first published. My mom bought it for me after flipping through it in the store and reading about awkward Christy Miller in her green bean bathing suit. Finally, it was someone I could relate to! I loved kind Uncle Bob and flamboyant Aunt Marti (sure, she was conniving and devious but she was fun to read about and really was trying to do what she thought was good). Todd was interesting, if a bit of a doofus, and the description of their trip to Disneyland was so much fun (when I actually went to Disneyland some 8 years later I thought about Todd and Christy going on the Matterhorn bobsleds, eating ice cream, and looking at the Tinkerbell figurines as I did all those same things). I still love this book, but the rest of the series just didn't hold my interest the same way. I've never had much tolerance for romance novels, Christian or otherwise, and this series just turned too much to teen romance fluff. I got tired of Christy and Todd going back and forth, and as I got older their "problems" just seemed more and more trivial. Robin Jones Gunn has a great talent for writing fun and interesting supporting characters, like Katie, and vivid descriptions of interesting locales, like England and Hawaii, which kept me reading through the entire series. Good luck to you, Christy Miller, through your college years. Thanks for the good times, but I won't be joining you for anymore of your adventures.

Rating: Summary: Thank You, Robin Jones Gunn for Writting this Series ! Review: I would like to thank Robin Jones Gunn for writting this series and having it be avaiable to read in Utah. When I first saw this book series, I was so happy that I found a Christian book series in a prominate L.D.S. state. This series helped me to get interested in reading and reading faster and injoying what I am reading. I related to the girls in the story expecilly Christy when she talks to her self, I tend to do that a lot. It made me so happy that she meet Todd but it kind of made me jellous in wanting a good Christian relationship with a guy. I have never read books so fast and been so interested in what I am reading until I found this. I even prayed that I would find a good Christian book that I could relate to and now that I have I am so very thankful. This book is the start of all of the books if you don't read this one first it will be soo confusing so I highly suggest that you read them in order. So thank you again to Robin Jones Gunn for writting this series for me and many other young women mostly out there. It used to be kind of hard to get this series because the next one had a lot of holds on them because other teenagers were out there reading this wonderful series. So If you haven't had the chance to read these books give it a chance it can change your life because I know it has changed mine.
Rating: Summary: This Book Inspired Me To............. Review: I'm so glad that Robbin Jones Gunn wrote this series!!! This book inspired me to become a Christian!!!! I fell a lot closer to God now than I ever did before!!!!!!!! So, if you want to become a Christian , but you don't know how, than I advise you to read this book. It helped me, why can't it help you!?!?!?!?
Rating: Summary: The Romance Lives In Christy's Summer Promise Review: In Summer Promise, Christy is a young girl who is visiting her relatives in San Francisco. She meets a group of people who she likes especially a boy named Todd, who she falls in love with. Christy learns more about Christianity and the love for God from her friends. Soon Christy gives her soul to God and starts to fit into the group better. Christy and Todd go on a trip, for her birthday, to Disneyland. Christy finds out that her selfish, snobbish, and rich aunt pays for everything when she thought Todd really liked her enough to pay. I liked this book because it was about what teenagers go through in their lives. If like romantic, religious, teen-life stories, you will love this book!
Rating: Summary: Best series ever! Review: My daddy gave me this series of books in about 5th grade. Since then, I have probably read the series twenty times in 7 years. It is an excellent book that can be read over and over. Any girl will fall in love with Todd as you find him sweeping Christie off her feet. EXCELLENT! A MUST HAVE! I hate to read, but I love these books and read them all the time. Especially great for younger girls to teach them how to be strong in Christ, love, and friendship.
