Summary: I Am Regina-best of the best!
Review: I Am Regina is a thoroughly enjoyable book from beginning to end. It takes place in Pennsylvania during colonial times and is about a girl, Regina, who is taken captive by Indians. As the years pass by, Regina learns the Indian ways and comprehends why they loathe the white men. I believe that it is a good book for mature readers who want a historical fiction book that is overall very interesting.

Summary: I Am Regina tops all!
Review: I Am Regina is a wonderful and moving book. I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a good book using perspective. Regina is a girl who is taken away from her home and torn apart from her family. As she lives with the Indians who captured her, she learns to appreciate Indian tactics and their reasoning behind hating the white man. This book will keep you on the edge of your seat and will not let you put it down. This is a good historical fiction book with an element of surprise.

Summary: I Am a Grown-Up, and I read it in one night
Review: I Am Regina is YA historical fiction. That is to say, it's a fictionalized account of a young girl's true experience of being kidnapped by and then raised among the Delaware.

School Library Journal in June of 1991 said "Readers will hardly realize how much they're learning in the pleasure of the story." I want to know what novel they read. I didn't get much by way of pleasure out of this story.

I got a stomach ache. I got a big old wad of anguish. I got an overwhelming sense of the futility of it, the brutality on both sides, the inability of your average joe to escape. It's as good a commentary on the horrors of war as I have ever encountered. But it never goes for the easy road. Never oversensationalizes, romanticizes. Never really even dwells. It presents its horror with a first this then that kind of straightforwardness.

The story didn't please me. It moved me. Profoundly.
I hope it will do the same for you.

Review: I Am Regina, is a book about a 12 year-old girl who is captured by Indians and slowly adapts to their ways. It is an enthralling and action-packed book with lots of description, plenty of detail, and a lot of things that make you want to find out what will happen next!

Summary: Not bad. Not bad at all.
Review: I read this book simply for the sake of reading something, and I was suprised that I liked it as much as I did.(This is normally not the kind of book I read.) I really got close to Regina by the end of the book, and enjoyed moving through rough and happy times with her. It is not a book I would read again, but I'm still glad I read it.

Summary: This is a really good book
Review: I'm going into 7'th grade so i had to read this book for one of my classes. At first I didn't want to read it cause I thought it would be boring, boy was I wrong! In I am Regina. Regina is almost eleven years old when two indeans kill her father and brother and take her and her sister Barbara captive. Regina is separated from her sister and made to go live in an indean home with another little who she names Sarah. Regina and Sarah are given new names, and new lives. This book is sad thrilling and maddening. It made me feel like I was Regina! The best and most interesting part of this book though is its a true story! This is a good book and you should read it.
