I think the author did a good job of comparing the life of the white man to the life of an Indian. She showed how cruel the white men were to the Indians. The white man and the Indians hated eachother. The white man wanted to steal the Indians land. I think the characters were described the best! They were described so you knew just how they looked and just the way they felt! If I were the author I would change the part when they leave Woelfin alone in the woods. It would be good if Woelfin ran to a new Indian village and they would take care of her. I love this book!

We rate this book Good. We liked it alot but there were some things that we would or wouldn't put. Like for instance, we would put some more information about Barbara and Sarah. We liked the writing style. It was like Regina was telling the story. It got us so interested. We think the author wrote this book because she liked the idea that Regina Leininger was really captured by the Indians and was a true story. She thought that it would be very interesting and she knew that it would sell alot of copies and guess what it did. We think the issues of I Am Regina are that the white man and the Indian were at war for the land. If the white man didn't keep on asking for the land Regina wouldn't have been captured. The Indians thought the white man were savages and the white man thought the Indians were savages. The Indians captured Regina and Regina stayed there for 10 years and stayed with a women named Woelfin and a man named Tiger Claw. She hated Tiger Claw so much. One day Tiger Claw caught small pox , a white mans disease and one day he died. Then mostly everyone in the village got small pox and they all died. Sarah got the small pox but she didn't die. One day the white man came and took Regina and Sarah to a camp and in the morning they went on a boat and went to a village and that was where they were identifying there children. When Regina thought she saw her mother but it was really a little boys mother. Then she saw her real mother and her mother put her arms around her, and took Regina and Sarah home. We would recommend this book to everyone because it was so good.

This book is about a white girl,Regina,who was ten years old when the Allegeny Indians broke down her cabin door. They killed her father and brother. They burned the cabin and kidnapped Regina and her sister. She lives with them for ten years. After I read this book I saw the Indians from a very different point of view and so did Regina! Now I feel that the White Men were the bad ones not the Indians!

We rated this book a ten for many reasons. One of the reasons was that we liked the writing style. It was written like Regina was actually telling the story. Another reason why we liked this book was that we liked the plot. It was both exciting and tragic. We think the author wrote this book because she wanted people to see how it was to live with Indians and because she wanted people to see the Indian's point of view. This book shows us that the white men did not like the Indians because they were in the way of getting new land. The Indians did not like the white men because they took too much of their land. If we were the author we would write more about what happened after Regina got reunited with her mother.

Review: I am a 10 year old girl and my teacher, Mrs. Vetter, is reading I Am Regina to my class and I thought that so far it's #1 on my reading list. It tells about a 10 year old girl growing up in the 1700s and what their culture was like. I would reccomend this for all 5, 6, 7, 8, etc. graders.

Review: I am a 14 yr. old girl. i found the book I am Regina a very powerful and emotional book for me. the author a wonderful way to make you feel as if you are really surrounded by youe enemies; or are alone in the melancholy atmosphere Keehn shows with Regina in the forest. i have had this book for years, and enjoy it more and more as i get older.

Review: I am in seventh grade and I read this book for English class. It is about a girl named Regina Leninger who is ten years old and lives in Pennsylvania. It takes place in the 1700's and Regina and her sister, Barbara get captured by Indians while her mother and one of her brothers are away from home for the day. Regina and her sister eventually get seperated. Read the book to find out more!

Review: I Am Regina is a great book. It is an exciting Historical fiction as well.I enjoyed reading about the Indians and it taught me more about their every day lives. It is about a young girl who is captured by the Indians. Her struggles teach you more about her personality and it is very moving.I think the author uses a very good style of writing which is very descriptive. I enjoyed this book immensley.

Review: I Am Regina is a must read for anyone who loves historical fiction.I first read this book when I was twelve years old.Now that I am fully grown,there is still not a year that goes by that I don't open it up and read it.It's about a ten year old girl named Regina who's family is attacked by Indians.Her father and brother are killed and Regina and her sister,Barbara are taken.Regina befriends a small girl,another captive,that she names Sarah.The sisters are seperated and Regina is forced on a long journey to a Lenape village.At the village she must face cold and hunger.As time goes by she loses almost all memory of her white family and accepts her new life.This book is based an actual incident that occured during the French And Indian Wars. The story allows the reader to see what it might have like,on either side.This is a book that cannot be put down.
