Summary: Attitudes and basketbal...Not a good combintation.
Review: Night Hoops is a great book about boys trying to cope with life and still manage to play basketball. Trent Dawson is a boy that just moved to a new town and is trying to make new friends. But, obviosly he isn't trying hard enough because his attitude and cockyness is driving people away from him. At first, Nick Abott does not want to be his friend or have anything to do with him, but he grows to like him. The two boys both make the basketball team at the local high school. Trent's attitude once again comes into play getting himself kicked off the court the first day of practice. Later, Trents brother runs away for fear of being cought for the shooting of Michael Ushakov. Trent has decided to go and live with his brother but the basketball season is almost over. Nick finally convinces Trent, after a long while, to stay and finish out the season. At the time of the championship game Trent didn't show up. During the third quarter Trent came into the locker room and saw Nick. With not much to say Trent suited up and they won the title. The one thing that that kept this book from getting a perfect five stars was the ending... It didn't say what happened to Trent. Did he leave, or did he stay? That was just about the only thing I didn't like, but overall, the rest of the book was very well written.

Review: The book I am going to review is Night Hoops by Carl Deuker. The genre of this book is Action-Adventure, which makes it cool because it keeps you waiting. The story takes place ina small suburb of Seattle when a kid named Nick Abbott trys out for the Bothell High Varsity Basketball team. Nick's year hasn't been the best, his parent are going through a divorce and then he has to deal with his trouble-making neighbor Trent Dawson. Nick's wish cmes true when he makes the team, but Trent also made it. Will Nick and Trent be able to work as a team or not and become Champions. Read this book to find out.

Review: The title of the book I read was Night Hoops. The author of this book was Carl Deuker. The main plots of this book is a parent who gets quite involved in his two sons athletics. The parents get divorced because of the fathers obsession. The son overcomes the tragedy and succeeds to make the team and goes on to bigger and better things.
I do not think this is a very similiar book to others. It has many main ideas not just relating to sports. That is what makes it such a powerful book. "Alright Nick,lets play." This quote came from the book and was a very powerful book. (...).
I think that this is probably one of the top books which I have read. This book also made me think that if you are having any troubles in life that they cannot stop you in what you want to succeed in. So I think that it would be worth your time to read this book.

Summary: Night Hoops
Review: This book has good points and bad points. One of the good points is the fact that its a story about two completely different people who are brought together by their common interest in basketball. Another good point is that one of the characters father keeps pressuring him into basketball but instead he follows his dreams and plays the trumpet in the school band. Some bad points are that the book is too predictable. For example like they win a basketball game by a buzzer beater shot. Another bad point is that the book moves kind of slowly. I still enjoyed the book very much.

Review: This book is a good example of how life throws all different kinds of things at you. It also shows that through teamwork anything is possible. Nick,the main character, loves to play basketball. He makes varsity at Bothel High. There is a kid named Trent Dawson who is a trouble maker who also makes the team. At first the guys don't like that, but after a while he shows them that he is good. They end up beating one of the best teams in their league. Then a bad turn of events comes around, and someone gets shot. Then Trents brother is blamed for it, and he runs away. Trent feels obligated to go with his brother when he sends for Trent. The basketball season is almost done, but there are two games left and they are both very important games. The rest you'll have to read to find out. This was a good book for young adults, and I would recomend it to anyone.

Review: This book is a great life lesson. The characters struggle each day trying to manage school and basketball .A boy named Trent Dawson just moved into town, doesn't know anybody. He has a big ego and bad attitude. At first, Nick Abbott, which is the main character, doesn't get along with Trent, but as the year goes along they grow closer. The Two both tryout for the high school basketball team and make it. Trent has a lot of trouble getting along with the coaches and his teammates. Later, Trents brother goes to jail for a bad act of kindness and then runs away for fear of being caught for the shooting of Michael Ushakov. Trent has to decide if he is going to go and live with his brother or find another place to live. The basketball season is almost over. Nick convinces Trent, after a while, to stay and finish up the season. At the time of the championship game Trent didn't show up. Does he show up? Does the team win? This book was well written and deserves a four star! I would have given it a five but the ending was very confusing and had no exact ending. It just left you hanging. Besides that it is filled with many adventures and surprises. I loved this book and would recommend it to any age reader. This is a must read!

Review: This book is seen through the eyes of a boy named Nick Abbott whose goal is to be on the high school varsity basketball team. His father puts up a basketball hoop in place of his mother's flower garden, in their backyard. Nick's parents argue about many different things throughout the book. Nick works at his basketball skills on his hoop and he becomes quite well at the same. His father starts paying more attention to Nick and his basketball skills. You can foreshadow that Nick will become a star player on his high school team if he continues to work hard on his basketball skills. Nicks character is basicly an average teenage boy who is trying to succeed at the sport he loves. He makes the school team and improves throughout the book. Nick has many conflicts to face between his neighbor, Trent Dawson who is a tough bully around the neighborhood, and as well as his parents divorce. Is Nick able to put these problems behind him and continue to work on his game? Will his parent's divorce tear Nick apart? Will Trent and Nick be able to settle there differences for the better of the team? Read this book to answer these questions.

Review: This is a very good book on basketball. But I think it is for those who can relate, what I mean by that is if you play ball alot or you like the sport. I believe this because this book goes into great detail on the moves used and the language of the game. But I also like the book because it describes many ways that the sport can relate to life and help you through your problems.
