Review: My friends were reading this book and they said it was good so I triend it and it is one of my favorite books now. This book is a story about a girl and how she escapes with her family to Hong Kong and then on to America. Its a have to read!

Summary: A wonderful book full of suspense with a happy ending!
Review: Thirteen year old Mai and her family are a very poor family that live in Vietnam. With a small amount of rationed food, and always the chance that their grandmother may be arrested, the family is forced to leave their homeland. The small boat is packed with eager fleeing passengers. They go to Hong Kong, and there are lucky enough to be wanted in America. I could not put this book down. It was really full of suspense and action. READ THIS BOOK!
