Review: This book was good.This book was a romantic type and was truly compelling. It reminded me somewhat of Message in a Bottle, it had the romantic flar and charming chracteristics. Although this book did leave me with one question at the end, I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants a good read.

Summary: First time Sparks reader
Review: This is the first book by Mr Sparks that I have read and I could not put it down. Although the tale is drippingly sweet, and the moral point delivered rather bluntly, the writing is beautiful. Landon tells us this story in beautiful prose tha really got to me emotionally. I am not one to really cry when reading a novel (except "A Prayer for Owen Meany") but I was crying my eyes out on my commuter train.I look forward to reading Sparks other works

Review: I really enjoyed this book and it has become one of my favorites. I felt like I got to know the characters and felt what they were going through. I also felt like I was transported to the south in the late 1950's. This is a book I would read again.

Review: After reading the authors earlier works, I have to say I was some what disappointed with his latest effort. Don't get me wrong, Mr Sparks is a fantastic author and his books are great but this novel lacked the emotion and detail of The Notebook and Message In A Bottle.... Read if you must but don't expect the same reaction of the other two.

Review: Nicholas Sparks is one of the worst writers I have ever seen. Like his other two lousy books (especially "Message in a Bottle"), this one is contrived, weak, sappy shmaltz. Do yourself a favor and spend your money on something more enjoyable, like a root canal.

Summary: What an ending!
Review: This is one of the best books I have read! It's nice to see someone write about a young woman who is not considered beautiful by society's standard but beautiful because of her heart, love of life and compassion. This is a true love story that has many lessons and teaches us about the beauty of love and how special it is. I couldn't put it down and I cried like a baby.
