Summary: A Book to Remember
Review: Being a Nicholas Sparks fan, I wanted to read this book without knowing a thing about it. I devoured this book in one day. What a story of innocence and love! The characters are few, like most Sparks books, but are developed to their fullest potential. I had to keep reminding myself that the main character is only a teenager. Of course, the ending is an emotional, heart wrenching experience. I cried for a good 20 minutes after finishing it! I highly recommend this story to all.

Summary: Not Worth Buying--Borrow Instead
Review: This book reminds me of a story out of a magazine, such as Redbook or Good Housekeeping. The print [in the hardback edition] is very large so as to make the book seem bigger than it actually is. I think it would be a fine read for an eighth grader or maybe someone who wants a quick read while traveling. I would not recommend it for anyone who wants "substance." I definitely would not purchase it. Take it out of the library.

Summary: Grab the tissues
Review: I'm only 14 and this really touched my heart to the max. This book really shows that at any age you can fall in love, no matter how you felt before everything can change and when it does it might be too late. Landon is a little lost boy and finds the way to grow up in the most beautiful way, falling in love. Jamie is so full of joy and did not diserve the rude comments given to her but does not let that stop her from caring for each and every being. I, 100%, give all credit to Nicholas Sparks for the most beautiful story that filled my eyes with tears of joy and sadness. The story will always mean something special. Read and find out what I mean. Don't pass this book.

Summary: Pure Love
Review: I struggle hard to find a good story to read. Too many are filled with vulgarity, immorality - graphically described, and too much violence. This one caught me off guard. It has compassion. It has a very deep morality. It reminded me so much of what I have ahead of me in building the hearts of my children.

Recommend it? You bet!

Not just for those who love romance, but for those who have teens to guide and really enjoy good literature.

Summary: It truly is a story to remember
Review: It may be the title of this novel that catches your eye, but this novel can change the way you look at a person after you read it. This novel teaches the readers very important lesson about life. It is that don't judge people by their appearance, but look for who they are inside. The story is about a young man who fell in love with the kind of a girl he would have never thought he'll fall in love with, and she taught him how to love and the joy and pain of living. This young man's life changed forever and he was able to look at his life in a new perspective. Nicholas Sparks introduces the book by saying, "First you will smile, and then you will cry". A Walk to Remember is sweet story about first true love that can touch your heart, and leave you with tears. This will be a story you might never forget!

Summary: A Walk To Remember
Review: A Walk To Remember is a captivating book. The story is set in a rural South Carolina town in the late 1950's. The main character is a senior in high school, he doesn't want to take an Algebra class and the only class left is Drama, so as fate would have it he ended up in the Drama class. In the time that he is in Drama class he becomes closer to the "class nerd", Jamie Sullivan. Jamie is a sweet innocent character who carries her bible around everywhere she goes. No one knows why she carries it, they consider her a nerd for doing so but after she and Langdon get closer he finds out that it was her mothers. Jamie's dad is the preacher at the church that most of the people in town attend and one year he wrote a play for the seniors to perform and now every year the school selects people who audition to play the parts and they put it on for the town. Langdon wasn't planning on even auditioning but Jamie asks him and he feels like he'd feel so guilty if he didn't do it so he got the lead boy part. Jamie is the girl lead and they play opposite each other. Jamie and Langdon start spending time together to practice for the play and they become good friends. Then the night of the play they get in a little fight (their first fight) and it's awkward for them. There's one line in the play that Langdon has never said with the right emotion and he was afraid he was going to mess up, the line was "You are so beautiful!" he never said it right because he never truly meant it but the night of the play when Jamie walked onto the stage he heard the audience gasps and when he turns around and says the line he really means it. Langdon and Jamie fall in love just like most story book romances but there is one big obstacle in the future. A secret that Jamie and her father have kept from the whole town. This is a secret that alters more than just one life but the lives of most of the town of Beufort, this secret touched everyone who knew Jamie. When Langdon finds out his life is never the same. I would tell you the rest but I'd ruin the book. This was a major tear-jerker and I cried from about the middle to the end.

Summary: A sensitive story without the fireworks
Review: A boy becomes a man in this story written by Nicholas Sparks. The sensitive story evolves without fireworks yet touches your heart with the same afterglow.

With a christian overtone, the story unfolds around a young man in 1958, experiencing conflicting feelings about the reverend's daughter. For this young man, he must come to the reality of his own family history, a history noting his grandfather exploiting others for self gain and leaving his own future heirs ripe with wealth. Confused as most teenagers are, he tries to work out his feelings of affections for Jamie, a plain Jane kind of girl, one not especially notable by the up crowd in his high school. Constantly trying to straddle acceptance, his 17th year of life proves to be one he and Jamie will never forget, one that they feel is a walk to remember.

Not willing to give away the plot, I will leave the review with no furthur comment other than to note that it is a book that should be left to unfold as it is, with it's own perfectly sweet simplicity. Any more discussion simply will not do.

Summary: my favorite book
Review: As soon as I started to read this book I couldn't put it down. I thought it was the most touching book I've ever read. It is a great love story of two teenagers who have to go threw more than the average teenage couple has to deal with. The ending is sad, but touching. Anyone would love this book.

Summary: A truly heart-warming book
Review: Nicolas Sparks, the author of "A Walk to Remember", has written other books as genuine as this such as the well known, "The Notebook." I enjoy his books. He seems to give the story just the right amount of reality and romance so that the person reading it will have trouble putting it down. "A Walk to Remember" is about a young man falling in love with the school "nerd." He falls in love with her because she had such a kind and giving heart. Good morals are being set and shown in "A Walk to Remember." One example that comes to mind is a very important one and that is "not to judge a book by looking at the cover." In other words, look for character in a person, not just their appearance. The young man begins to spend time with the "nerd" and finds that even though she is shunned by the kids at school, she is loved deeply by all others she comes in contact with. She especially is loved by the children at a nearby orphanage. He comes to the point in their relationship that he sees she is very important to him and that she makes him be a better person when she is around. Shortly after that, he finds out she is very ill and he makes it his goal to fulfill her dreams. The ending is left up to the reader. Stopping at a point in which your imagination is unleashed and anything is possible. This book will fill your eyes with tears but your heart will abound with happiness.
