Summary: "A Book to Remember"
Review: If you a looking for a light, relaxing read, look no further! You have definitely found the right book. The best way to describe this novel is compare it to TV. It is the soap opera of the literary world. Anyone who enjoys any of the Oprah Book Club books would take pleasure in this novel. I would also recommend this book to any teenage girl looking to learn a thing or two about love. Although it was overall wonderfully written, I would not recommend this book to someone needing to do any type of book report or analysis. It is too much of a "light read" and does not go in depth enough. Even so, the plot is in many ways both compelling and heart warming. It is easy to get into, and really does touch your heart. It is not too deep nor does it require much thinking. It is by far, the perfect answer to a lazy Sunday afternoon! (Don't forget the tissues!)

Summary: An unexpectedly amazing book
Review: I saw a preview for the movie "A Walk To Remeber" and thought it was interesting, so I decieded to pick up the book and read it before I can watch it. From the first few pages, I was drawn into story. Little did I know that I would stay up past midnight to finish reading the book because I couldn't put it down. I know it's a cliche, but I had to read it all the way through. I couldn't wait till the next day. I loved the sincerity of the main character, Landon, and how he goes through a transformation. It is a story about faith and love, and this one not only brought tears to my eyes, but made me re-evaluate how I live my life.

Summary: The Sappiest of Them All
Review: Boo-woo...is the sound you definitely won't be making while reading Nicholas Sparks' A Walk to Remember. If you enjoy shmaltzy love stories, this novel would be right up your alley. As for me, I thought this novel was typical, unrealistic, and cliché. With a typical "boy meets girl, boy likes girl" story line, it was easy for me to fall asleep. Besides the lack of originality in the plot, it was also highly unrealistic. At the end of the book the two teenagers who are supposedly in love get married! Come on, to all those parents out there, would you ever let this happen to your kid?! Everything about the book was fantasy. An immature teenage boy who cares deeply about his reputation falls in love with the Bible-loving class dork after spending a great deal of time with her while rehearsing for the school play? Huh? I know it sounds long and exhausting and that is exactly what it is. As I got more into the book, the story line just kept getting tiring and I was getting more exhausted reading it. The plot was milked for all it could be and that is what made the novel an ultimate bore. When I finished the book, I was stunned that it took 236 pages to write such a predictable love story. Listen to me, folks! A Walk to Remember puts the "sap" in "sappy"! Hmm... this book would probably fancy all those out there who actually like to be bored. As for me, when reading a novel, I like to be stimulated by the plot and kept interested throughout the beginning to the end. This book definitely didn't fulfill that job. A Walk to Remember is definitely a book to remember...NOT TO BUY!

Summary: HEART WARMING AND BREATHTAKING
Review: I AM A FOURTEEN YEAR OLD GIRL WHO NOW LOVES TO READ. WHEN MY MOM BOUGHT ME THIS BOOK I NEVER THOUGHT I WOULD HAVE LOVED IT AS MUCH AS I DO. THE FIRST NIGHT I READ IT I COULD NOT SET IT DOWN. I FELT AS IF I WAS A PART OF THE STORY WATCHING IT TAKE PLACE AND PONDERING WHAT WOULD HAPPEN NEXT. I AMAZINGLY FINISHED IT THE NEXT DAY, WHICH WAS UNUSUAL BECAUSE I USUALLY DON'T FINISH A BOOK UNTIL THE NEXT MONTH.
I RECCOMMEND THIS BOOK FOR ANYBODY OF ANY AGE. I FELL IN LOVE WITH IT AND I PROMISE YOU WILL TOO.

Summary: An illuminating look into young an everlasting love
Review: I found A walk to Remember to be one of the best books that I have ever read in my entire life. The writing was unique and worded just so that it added a touch of humor in all the right places. I read it in a couple of hours and when I was done, I wanted so badly for it to continue. I loved the way that the characters were introduced and explained in a way that made you feel a part of the small town. I have never been to North Carolina, but the discriptions and details were so thourough that I felt that I had actually grown up there too. I have been searching for a favorite author and I think that Nicholas Sparks has made my list and I can't wait to read the rest of his books that I'm sure are "marvelous!" I can't even find the words to descibe how much I enjoyed this book. It definitly gives insight to the misunderstandings of young love. Being young myself, I hope that when I fall in love, it is with the same passion and life-altering powerfulness that this book represents. It is definitly the most romantic book that I have ever read...

Summary: Beautifully Written
Review: I'd heard of this book a while before. It grazed the shelf of my favourite bookstore for sometime before I finally gave it a second glance. And I never looked back. Not only is this book written with style, and class..but its pure bliss to read. Its a love story..but not a Romance Novel. Something, that i'm sure numerous people can relate to. Definatley a book I'll be reading again in the soon future.

Summary: Sappy summer read
Review: This is a good book to pick up if you're on your way to a long plane flight, a week of sunning on the beach, or an extended time on the throne. It's a fairly quick read, with no deep concepts to grasp or difficult vocabulary. (Which sometimes, I must admit, is exactly what I need. Kind-of like the book version of the musical CATS.)

If you want to ponder something, though, and figure it out, and wonder what the characters might do next, don't pick this book up. I'd say it's strictly lazy summer reading.

Summary: A Warm and Moving Book..Review by a 13 year old..
Review: Alright..I admit it. I would have never stumbled over the THOUGHT of buying this book if I hadn't seen the previews to the movie on TV. This morning, my mother and I went to Marshall Fields and I ran into the bookstore. I was trying to find a good book, but I couldn't think of one. Running my fingers through endless Stephen King novels, I thought of Message in a Bottle. I thought to myself, if this was taken from a book, the author must be very gifted. I automatically thought of the "A Walk to Remember" preview I saw on TV and remembered it was also adapted from a book. I asked the sales clerk to help me find it and within 2 minutes I was at the counter, about to pay for the book. Alright..the book wasn't short and down to the point. But that's what I LOVED about it! It went right down to the little details and you truly felt like you were inside the book, watching everything happen. I just finished the book about 5 minutes ago, realizing that I needed 2 tissues to drag myself to the end. Now I really can't wait for the movie! "A Walk to Remember" has now become my favorite book. I am not saying that everyone will like this book. Maybe I liked it because I myself am young and maybe one day I can relate to it..everyone has their opinion. You just heard mine. If you think you might not like it, borrow it from the library. Coincedentally, I found out that Nicholas Sparks (the author) wrote "Message in a Bottle." What a small world..

Summary: A Real Tearjerker that tugs at your heartstrings.
Review: A Walk To Remember is my favorite romance book that I've ever read. I read the book this summer for something to read because I hadn't read much books and all the teen books that I looked at didn't catch my interest. I hadn't heard about Nicholas Sparks until actually last year when my PE class was watching Message In The Bottle and I usually liked books over movie. So I decided to give this guy a shot. The minute I began reading it I was hooked.

Landon Carter is a senior about to hit adulthood and is still unsure what he wants out of life. He believes that he's been in love with a girl or two. He and his friends shun the minister's daughter, Jamie because she does good things and loves to read her Bible daily.

Jamie is a shy girl, who only wants to do good and be there for her father since her mother died when she was little. She also always is involved in something, whether it be the orphange or the annual Christmas play that she always in.

Over the course of the senior year, Landon and Jamie end up going to a dance together because he needed a date. She later on asks him to be in the play with her. From there on, Landon sees Jamie as the person she is and how beautiful she on the inside as well as the outside. Love sparks between the two of them and everything seems to be falling into place until Jamie reveals something to Landon. I won't tell you what, so you will just have to read it to find out. This story is beautifully written and it will definetely affect you in some way. Be prepared for tears though.

So cuddle up, and have a tissue box near by and you will be all set.

Summary: Unoriginal and manipulative
Review: I kept seeing Sparks' stuff on the bestseller lists, so I thought I would check one out. I found it to be sentimental, manipulative, cliched, poorly written, predictable, and unoriginal. It's hard to imagine that stuff like this is so successful.
