Rating: Summary: Loved the book and the movie... Review: I saw the movie first, I loved it so much that I had to see it again (I loved it even more the second time)! I went out and bought the book and finished it the same day. I read reviews from other readers that they cried while reading this book... I thought, nah, I won't cry. But in the last few chapters I started to cry... I couldn't help myself. The funny thing is... after reading the book and seeing the movie, it really made me think. I actually sat back and re-evaluated my life, and not only spiritually but how we treat people (I think I treat others pretty well, but it's nothing compared to Jamie Sullivan). This book and movie touched me in many ways. I highly recommend this book... and the movie! =)

Rating: Summary: A WONDERFUL NOVEL! I COULDN'T PUT IT DOWN! Review: I saw a preview for this movie on TV, and it looked really good. So I got the book, and I was never the same. The book was great. I stayed up every night reading it, wondering what will happen next. Some parts make you laugh, some make you smile, and some make you cry. It is about a boy named Landon Carter who is pretty popular. There is a girl in his school, Jamie Sullivan who is the minister's daughter and is not popular and spends all of her time doing things for others. One day, Landon is calling up people to go to the dance with, and no one will take him, until he calls Jamie. Jamie and him go to the dance and then they start spending more time together, only to fall in love. And then something unexpectedly happens, and Landon tries to search for a miracle. I would reccomend this book to anyone. I can't describe how much this book changed me on my view of life. Read it! Trust me... it will be a walk the library that you will remember!
Rating: Summary: Two different people; One world Review: I thought this novel was really great. The author did a nice job describing the hardships of the two characters. I thought it was a great mix between a normal teenage book and a romance. This novel desicribed exactly how its like between to different people. It showed the humility the other recieves and the kindness they give back. It happends in real life and some people dont relize it, but this book definatly puts the word out there. I also thought it was neat how the author makes the two overcome their differences and everyone's thoughts and became great friends. I would definatly suggest this book to another reader.
Rating: Summary: A Beautiful Book Review: I first heard about "A Walk To Remember" when I found out that they were making it into a movie. I was at the bookstore and decided to purchase the book. I didn't think it would be that great, but it surpassed my expectations! It's been a long time since I've read a book with an ending such as this one that actually makes me cry. I finished reading it in three days because I couldn't put it down and I was amazed at what a wonderful author Mr. Sparks is. Men and women of all ages can enjoy this book. It's a must have!
Rating: Summary: sappy and stupid Review: i thought this book was toatally stupid it had no plot, it was predictable and sappy DO NOT READ IT YOU WILL BE WASTING YOUR TIME!! and if i could of i wouldnt have even givin it a star
Rating: Summary: A Wonderful, Gripping Story of First Love Review: This book was amazing. It was a story of a wonderful love between Jaime Sullivan and Landon Carter. You can see how much they loved each other on every page. I would reccomend it to everyone!
Rating: Summary: I liked it better when it was called "Love Story." Review: It had the same plot as "Love Story" complete with the required boy-falls-in-love-with-girl-from-opposite-end-of-the-social-structure and the required resistance of someone's father and, of course, the required terminal illness. But other than different names, times, places and settings, it was the same book. And I'm wondering -- is this allowed? I think most of the readers of this books are too young to remember "Love Story" but now that the movie is out, won't the public catch on and blow the whistle about this obvious rewrite?
Rating: Summary: wonderfully beautiful Review: I just read the book today and finished it. It took me like eight or nine hours. A WALK TO REMEMBER is about this man-Landon Carter-in his late fifties that tells the story about his senior year and that he gets to know this wonderful girl-Jamie Sullivan-that he has known for most of his life and spent part of it making fun of her behind her back. Jamie wasn't an average teenager and most kids from school thought she was strange. But Jamie was really special and if you read the story you'll know why. Throughout the whole story Jamie is nothing but sweet and kind to Landon and everybody else(and I do mean everybody). And Landon finds himself falling in love with her. She changes his life and pretty much makes him a better person. The first few chapters weren't really that exciting but afterwards the story was starting to get interesting. The ending was so moving and sad. It really is a beautiful story. If you saw the movie you'll find that the book is a bit different but its still really good. Its not the best book in the world but its the best that I've read. So buy and read the book.
Rating: Summary: Love Story Revisited Review: If there is a more sappy story out there, I would be surprised. This is definitely not a book for adult readers. Mr. Sparks obviously read that 70's tear-jerker, Love Story, added a dose of the South, sprinkled in a little nostalgia for the 50's and came up with pablum in book form. Yuk!
