Rating: Summary: Megan G's walk to Remember Review: This extraordinary book shows what it is like to really love someone. Nicolas Sparks does an outstanding job of taking us through the lives of Jamie and Landon and letting us feel all of their emotions. You are with them from the beginning and are there with them in the end. You never want to put it down. It is a book to read whenver you can. Whether you are upset, mad, angry, happy, sad, excited, this book is one that hits in the middle of your heart. You will smile and cry but all the while you will be happy that you read it. I think the book really lets you know of a person many of us do not know. That person is the character of Jamie. She is so real and sincere in everything she does. There are not many people in the world like her. A Walk to Remeber is a book you won't forget. In fact, it is a book you will want to read over and over again. I would recommend this book to anyone who has a heart because after reading A Walk to Remeber I am sure your heart will be touched!
Rating: Summary: Heather's Walk to Remember Review: A Walk to Remember is a very uplifting story of two young people in love. At the beginning of the book, Nicholas Sparks (the author) warns you that at first you will smile, then you will cry. As the story develops you find that he is not lying at all. You will smile and then you will bawl. I truly loved this book. It was a very sweet book that challenges every emotion you have ever felt. I plan to read this book again soon, and I whole-heartedly recommend this book to anyone.

I only heard about it when the movie came out, but I wish I had read it earlier...NOW I AM DYING TO SEE THE MOVIE!!! GO BUY IT PPL GO!!! GET UR WALLET AND GO!!! IT DESERVES MORE THAN 5 stars!!!
Rating: Summary: A Walk To Remember Review: The book that I read was called "A Walk to Remember" by Ncholas Sparks. This book was about this girl Jammie Sullivan, who wasn't one of the popular kids, and Landon Carter, who was one of the popular kids. Jammie's father was a Reverend at their church who was very protective of his daughter. Landon's father was a congress man who was hardly around. They had to learn to work with each other in the school play that they were going to preform, and they did. The thing that I liked most about this book was the characters. This is because Jammie Sullivan and Landon Carter came from two different backrounds, and they had to learn to get along and work together. I thought that this was a really great book. It was really interesting and the author made it easy yo understand. I would recomened this book to anyone because of those reasons.
Rating: Summary: Amazing! Review: This book made me cry. The movie made me cry. I cannot express how much this book touched my heart. I read it a year before the movie came out, and instantly fell in love with the characters. Sparks did such an amazing job shaping and adding depth to the characters. Landon and Jamie, the main characters in the story, will surely touch your heart.Basically the story is about bad-boy Landon, who falls in love with the most unpredictable girl - Jamie, the town's preacher's daughter. And don't think Landon "brings Jamie down." Jamie changes Landon's life for the better, in beautiful ways. Through it all, Jamie's faith is alive and working in this story. The couple face happiness, good times, and turmoil. And yet, at the end, everything really comes together. And guys, don't automatically assume the movie is a "chick-flick." Almost every guy that watched the movie actually ADMITTED to getting teary-eyed. This book and movie is for guys, girls, young and old, the hopeless romantics, and the ones who just want to be entertained with a work of art that doesn't rely on murder, sex, drugs, and sin to make it a hit. 3 words: READ THIS BOOK. And, SEE THE MOVIE. You will not regret it.
Rating: Summary: I wasn't won over Review: I read and heard how wonderful and emotional this book was. I bought it and read up to chapter 8. This book didn't move me. I became bored and frustrated with the story. I don't know what type of person you need to be to enjoy something like this...but it wasn't for me. The author is an excellant writer with a warm presence. Although this book bored me to death doesn't mean you shouldn't buy it. If you want a sweet story with good morals and values then this is for you. I have to admit though this book is refreshing from all the mess that's written today.
Rating: Summary: A Book To Remember Review: The story all starts with 17-year-old Landon Carter. He is what alot of people would call a 'rebel'. He is suddenly without a date for the homecoming dance, and as a result of desperation, he asks Jamie Sullivan, the daughter of the town's Baptist minister. He thought she would be the last person on the planet he would ever fall in love with, but as they are put in situations together, gradually he does. Even though she comes to feel the same way about Landon, Jamie is not sure it would be the best thing for them, because she has an eternal secret that could tear them apart, or keep them together. Soon the problem isn't who will know about the secret, but who will stand by your side all the way through it. I give this book 5 out of 5, because it is and always be one of the most heart breaking stories you will hear. -Derek
Rating: Summary: One of the best books ever! Review: I read a walk to remember in two days. The book is one of the best I have ever read. When the movie came out I wanted to see it but first I wanted to read the book. The way Landon falls in love with Jamie is so touching. The book gets very sad at the end but when they get married that is the happiest part in it. I think if anyone wants to read a great book, to read this one, it's sad and will make you cry but it's also a glance at true love.
Rating: Summary: Romantic at Heart Review: A Walk to Remember is a delightful book about a teenage boy who unexpectedly finds the love of his life. This is a romantic story of a boy named Landon who grew up in Beaufort, North Carolina with the reverend Sullivan's daughter, Jamie. The two grew up together; however, did not become friends until they had to do a school play together. While rehearsing together, Landon discovers that there is more to Jamie than just being the reverends daughter. With an unexpected ending, this book will leave the tender hearted with a tear in their eye a smile on their face. I would recommend this book to anyone, but particularly teenage girls looking for a little bit of romance.
Rating: Summary: A Walk To Remember is A Story You'll Never Forget Review: The narrator of this story, 57 year old Landon Carter, begins this story by stating "When I was 17 years old, my life was changed forever". It's hard to appreciate the full impact of that statement until Landon tells us, through the eyes of his youth, the details surrounding that year of his life. Landon promises us that "you'll laugh, then you'll cry", and he's absoloutely right about that. This is the story of a young man who grows from an immature adolescent into an adult during that year of his life, mainly due to the influence of a young lady. This young lady (Jamie Sullivan) is not popular with the teenagers in her town, and for that matter, she doesn't care what others think about her. She's a minister's daughter who lives her life according to the teachings of the Bible, and she has a strength of character and maturity that is scorned by her peers. As Landon gets to know Jamie after they are thrown together as actors in a play, he experiences living in a way that changes him right down to his core. The best thing about this book is how Nicholas Sparks tells the story through the eyes of a 17-year-old. The thoughts and feelings of Landon Carter are about what you'd expect from an immature teenager. But as the story goes on, you can see a change in the narration as Landon himself goes through a change. I've always loved the book "To Kill A Mockingbird", because Harper Lee convincingly tells an adult story through the eyes of a child. This book accomplishes a similar goal, even though this book is not of the same caliber as Mockingbird. This book will grab your attention within the first 20 pages and hold tight right through to the end. The ending will knock you over, so be prepared. This book shows the importance of following what you believe is right, regardless of the cost. Jamie Sullivan is a person of the highest character and integrity, and should serve as a role model to any teenager (or adult) who reads this book. I highly recommend it to all except the most cynical people who think there is no value in teaching that there can be true goodness in this world.
