Rating: Summary: Fate brought love between two strangers Review: In Nicholas Sparks' A Walk to Remember, Landon Cater falls unexpectedly in love with the preachers daughter.Jamie Sullivan, the preachers daughter, has never really fit in. Jamie has a kind soul and a kind heart, but has no true friends. Landon Cater is known as the school jock. He is very popular and is overall the complete opposite of Jamie. Inspite of this difference he asks Jamie to the school dance as a last resort date. Jamie and Landon create a special bond. As a favor in return, Landon agrees to be the lead in Jamie's fathers Christmas play. It is then that he realizes her true beauty for the first time. Landon and Jamie become very close. Landon begins to spend time with her after school. Landon even invites her to go out with him and his friends. In the end Jamie and Landon fall in love. This story can show how fate can put aside differences and bring two people together.
Rating: Summary: Excellent Review: A Walk to Remember was simply excellent! It was beautifully written. I fell in love with the characters almost immediately. I wanted to read on forever. Definetly a book you will not be able to put down.
Rating: Summary: A Walk to Remember Review: I thought A Walk to Remember was a good book and the book gets ***** because it was so good. Nobody really liked Jamie Sullivan, and she didn't have any friends. It got really sad at the end of the book. But it's so good that I'll probably reread it again someday.

Landon, a popular boy falls in love with Jamie, an unpopular girl whose father is a minister. Landon realizes how special she is and must deal with the conflict between Jamie and his friends. Then Jamie must tell Landon her secret that they will deal with together. You will cry, but the story will also touch your heart. This book shows all the elements of love and growing up.
Rating: Summary: A Walk to Remeber Review: I really liked the book, it was kind of sad. I saw the movie before, but I liked the book better, it had more details than the movie. It was about a 17 year old girl named Jamie, everybody thought she was weird. There was also a boy named Landon, he was very popular and in the end he falls in love with her.
Rating: Summary: A Walk to Remember Review: A Walk to Remember was about a girl named Jamie who no one likes at school and is a great Christian. She helps out a lot and kids think she's weird. It's also about a guy named Landon who falls in love with her later in the book. If you like love stories you'll like this book. I gave it three stars because I don't like love stories. It was ok sometimes and was usually boring for me.
Rating: Summary: Tugs at Your Heart Review: In "A Walk to Remember" Nicholas Sparks really tugs at the feelings in his reader's hearts. I think that this book really touches most of the emotions in a person. On the first day of drama class Landon Carter sees the unpopular Jamie Sullivan. She's the preacher's daughter. She is conservative, and has a giving heart considering all her work with orphans. At lunch she reads the Bible while all of Landon's friends make fun of her. So when he was in the town's big Christmas play with Jamie after owing a favor, he was really worried about his reputation as Mr. Cool. So when the play is done the last thing he expects is to realize that Jamie has captured his heart. Jamie gets Landon to do things that stretch far beyond his regular limits. This is what really shows Landon who Jamie is, and not what everyone thinks she's like. Landon also shows Jamie what his world is like. He lives in a very big house, which she admires, and all the fancy dinners really maker her feel special. Despite Reverend Sullivan's objections, their relationship grows and Landon's feelings do too, so when Jamie reveals what her future holds, his whole world turns upside down. Despite all the nagging he gets from friends Landon realizes that there are more things to life than the small problems and being cool. Sparks does a great job of breaking the rules of the classic assumptions that jocks don't associate with the "goody-two shoes." There are a few reasons why I really enjoyed this book. One is that it really touched me in a way that few books do. So that is why I think this book is good for people of all ages. Despite the fact that it is fairly easy reading, it has a lesson that we all need to learn and apply to our life. Sure, this book might seem a little sappy, but it really does have something for everybody. For me, every good book connects with you in a way that you can relate to in your life. This is another reason why I enjoyed this book. It connects in many ways, all depending on what kind of person you are. It really appealed to me because I am a high school student so I can relate to the feelings Landon is having. The most important reason I like this book is that it got me excited to read. I couldn't wait to sit down and find out what was going to happen next. The author really developed the characters well so it seemed very real. Their feelings and emotions seemed honest and not out of a fairy tale or something like that. I really would recommend it to anyone who wants to see a story that seems true. This trip back in time is one that nobody should miss.
Rating: Summary: A Walk to Rmember Review: A Walk to Remember A Walk to Remember by Nicholas Sparks was a really good book. It was well written, had a good message, and well developed characters. Therefore I rate this book a five star book. Nicholas Sparks is an awesome author. It was written as if Landon, an old man, was looking back and reminiscing on his younger years as a high school student. He tells you how he fell for the small town pastor's daughter, Jamie Sullivan. In his point of view as an older and experienced adult he tells you little things that he would have changed and what he will never regret. It's really cool to get the old Landon's and the young Landon's point of views. The book had an overall interesting story line with a good message. Landon was always one of the guys who made fun of Jamie until he finally got to meet her. He learns from being with her, how to treat people and to live life to the fullest every day. It may seem like a cliché, "live life to the fullest", but it is really a good message and it's true. If there is any way of proving that, this is the book to read. The character of Landon is really easy to connect with, especially as a teenager. You get the teenage point of view, to which you can relate, and then the adult's view to kind of reflect back and tell you how he feels now about making that decision. You get to know Landon very well and you'll find that as reading you will laugh and cry right along with him. -KRP
Rating: Summary: A Walk to Remember Review: A Walk to Remember is a wonderful book. It is a heart-capturing to read. Once I started reading it I didn't want to put it down. I found myself holding onto the next page long before I actually had to turn it. I was so anxious to read further and further. I also found myself thinking a lot throughout the book and making connections with myself, the characters are very real. From beginning to end I was totally drawn into reading this story and felt as if I was part of it, that's what makes a good book. The reason I loved this book so much is for three simple reasons. It was surprising, refreshing, and easy to make connections with my own life, and other people's lives. Landon and Jamie Sullivan are acquaintances at Beaufort High. Both in different worlds and carrying on separate lives. Jamie is a religious-oriented young woman with a strict Reverend as a dad. Landon is just another boy in High School. A school dance somehow brings these two together and they begin to form a friendly relationship. Landon later ends up in a Christmas Pageant with Jamie, doing a favor for her. He has no idea of the importance and reason as to why Jamie takes the pageant so seriously. Many things pop up in the story that the reader would have no clues about beforehand, which makes the book even more enjoyable to read. I enjoyed not knowing what was always going to happen next. Landon and Jamie's relationship only grows throughout the book and the things they do for each other is refreshing to read about. They are a couple that has just fallen head over heals for each other and discovers what love really is. They are so real because their feelings are so strong for each other and they show that through so many things. Every relationship has its difficulties however. Landon and Jamie experience just that! They experience it to the extreme but are always there for each other. I found myself relating to many things that both characters feel throughout the story. And if I couldn't relate to it, I know somebody else could. Sometimes I almost felt as if I were them which made my emotions as a reader come out, and that doesn't happen too often when I read a book. This book kept me at the edge of my seat the whole time anxiously awaiting a conclusion to a book of love and adventure. I laughed and cried with this story and would encourage everyone to read it. I would also recommend other books by Nicholas Sparks such as, "A Bend in the Road," and "The Notebook" for similar reasons.
Rating: Summary: Too Good to Be True Review: "A Walk to Remember" was a tear jerking love story. But the twist of the whole story was that the two in love, Landon and Jamie, were two totally different people. Sure, it makes for a great love story, but I don't believe the "popular jock" and the "nerdy angel" would ever get together. Their relationship was just too good to be true. I saw the movie before I read the book, and for once, the movie version was better. It was interesting to see how the authors were portrayed in a movie. "A Walk to Remember" was unrealistic, somewhat predictable, yet beautifully written with true feelings of love. It was a touching, beautiful love story that any sensitive love story addict would love. It might make you laugh and smile a few times, but mostly it will touch your heart and bring tears to your eyes.
