Rating: Summary: A Walk to Remember Review: I really enjoyed A Walk to Remember. I have to say this book is my favorite. This story takes the reader through stages of love, laughter, illness, health and youth. The story will touch anyone who has a heart. Reading this book has helped me understand more about leukemia, and the affects it has on it's victims. My aunt recommended that I should read this book. I read the book and loved it! It is very rare for me to experience the emotions I had while reading this book. I myself am not a big reader, but this book I could not put down. In my own opinion this is the best book I've read by Nicholas Sparks. After reading A Walk to Remember, I plan to read more books by Sparks. This book was very easy for me to relate to, since I have had a family member die with leukemia. If you are trying to decide on a book to read, I recommended A Walk to Remember to anyone with a heart. I promise Sparks will not disappoint anyone who reads this book. Do yourself a favor and read it!
Rating: Summary: Very nice story! Review: This was a wonderful book, remarkable story! I recommend it to all!
Rating: Summary: 1st Book ever that was way worse than the movie Review: Once I saw the movie "A Walk To Remember" I fell in love with it. Then a lot of people started reading the book. So I thought that since the book is like 98% of the time better than the movie, I started to read it.The beginning was dull and unconvincing. I thought It might get better. It din't. The book was nothing like the movie and not nearly as good. The main reason that I was appauled by the book is that it is sooooooo unrealistic. Even I could write better than that and I am only 12. Parts of it were hard to follow and parts of it would go on and on about tiny details that were boring or unimportant. did I metion it was so unrealistic. Obviously this writer does not know how real humans interact. right off the bat I should have noticed that this was a GUY writting a ROMANCE novel. It was a pathetic attempt of a love story. I couldn't even finnish the book! I got 2 thirds of the way through and then just said "forget this." This was the 1st book I have ever read that wasn't even close to being as good as the movie. It is ashame that people like me who loved the movie and tried to read the book have to waste their time.
Rating: Summary: Beautiful Tears Will Fall From Your Eyes Review: Every woman needs to read this story. Actually, it probably wouldn't hurt for every man out there to read it as well.A Walk To Remember is an exquistely written, yet simply told, story of love between two young adults in the 1950's. It is love in the purest, truest sense. There is no over-inflated romance, no teenage silliness. It is the kind of love that everyone dreams of, but perhaps doesn't quite believe is possible. By the time you're finished reading, many tears will have left your eyes. But you'll be glad they did.

Rating: Summary: A wonderful story Review: This just has to be the sweetest, most uplifting love story ever. I reluctantly started it after my mother encouraged me to read it, and after the first twenty pages, I was hooked. The style of writing is so perfect for the story. It's not ostentatious, just sweet and simple. Landon Carter is 17 years old, a high school senior in a small town. He's very well-off, but a rebel at heart. He doesn't like rules, and his friends are the same. Jamie is also 17, but as different as can be from Landon. She's the preacher's daughter, and is never seen doing anything but helping someone else. She always carries her Bible, and the Lord's plan is a favorite subject of discussion. After she does a favor for Landon, she asks him to star with her in the Christmas play her father wrote. That's when they get to know each other, and eventually fall in love, much to Landon's surprise. But Jamie has a secret, and it will inevitably put an end to their sweet romance if Landon doesn't do something-fast. I can't think of anything that could have been done to improve this book. The only thing wrong with it was that it ended. I have to admit that I cried just BUCKETFULS while reading this. I highly recommend this book to anyone.
Rating: Summary: Touching...It Will Make You Cry Review: This book is one my favorite books that I have read. After seeing the movie starring Mandy Moore and Shane West I begged my mother to take me to purchase the book. This is must for any book fan who doesn't mind a tear-jerking story. I slightly wish I had discovered the book before the movie, because I found my self skimming it at parts because of my knowledge of the movie. I recommend reading the book before seeing it. Other than that, I loved this book and finished it in 2 days. Read this book!
Rating: Summary: A GRRRRREAT BOOK Review: SORRY IF ANYONE ALREADY SAID THIS: sorry to spoil it for the people who havent read it yet but this is wat i think ..... i think that this was such a romantic and spiritual book and as much as i love shane west in the movie and mandy moore was great, the book is MOST DEFINITELY better. i mean in the book, landon mentions that the "walk to remember" was when jamie mustered all the little strength she had and walked down the aisle with her father rite? well in the movie she walked normally just smiling prettyful. but landon's whole coming of age is very inspiring and it kinda made me think twice about my faith friends family love and life. but yea i read it every sleepless night cause this is the book that makes me cry to sleep.
Rating: Summary: Touching Review: This book was the first book that I read of Nicholas Sparks. The story line is amazing and I cried sevral times throught reading. While I found it a bit confusing in the beginning I grew to love it as the personalities of the chracters are revealed through the story. The ending touched me and I was very pleased I took the time to read it.
Rating: Summary: PLZ PLZ READ THIS BOOK Review: OKAY so you're all probably thinking "just another love story book - no thanks" but PLEASE if you miss this chance to read this amazing book by Nicholas Sparks you are missing out on a wonderful book. I can't remember how i first heard of this book - may have been on TRL- but it don't matter. i am so glad i did hear of it :-) the love between Jamie and Landon is so real and you can tell that this love will last an eternity even tho' it's a book. i wont spoil the book for those who havent read it but evry tiny detail is so pivotal and important to their love for each other and this book will jus completely move your heart to someplace you never thought it could go too!! Sparks has an amazing way of showing Landon and Jamie's love growing. It made me want to read all of his other works. This story has affected my life so much; it made me realise that life is short and should never be taken for granted. i rented this book from the library 10 TIMES and in the end i had to buy it cuz the librarian started to get annoyed with me!! SO please buy this book - this review may not have inspired you -but the book will trust me! Landon was right - you will laugh and then you will cry.
