Summary: A Real Tear-Jerker
Review: For all die-hard Nicholas Sparks fans this is a must-read! If you haven't read any of his books, this one will definitely get you hooked. The prologue mentions, "first you will laugh, and then you will cry" and this couldn't be more true. I have read it over 5 times and I enjoy it just as much each time. Reading this book you become absorbed in a different time and place, where things were simple and innocent and true love was all that mattered. Once you pick it up you won't want to put it down!

Summary: A tearjerker in the truest sense.
Review: I saw a Walk to Remember in theather. Then I went and bought the book. Little did I know that BOTH the book and the movie would make me cry. I'm 13 and it takes a lot for me to cry but this author. This is the first book I have read of Nicholas Spraks's but now I have read them all and they all pluck a heart string

Summary: Absolutely Sweet!
Review: This book was touching. In the beginning I couldnt get into it but it turned out to be a good heart felt book. It takes place in 1958 and Landon Carter is telling the story. It is one of those make you cry type books. I cried, laughed, said awww, said why?, etc. The book was like one of those books that make you realize how much life really means to you. If you havent read this book you have to get it. It is a must have book. Any one who loves books will love this book fa sho'!

Summary: nothing special
Review: Okay, if you like cheesy romantic fiction, you might like this. In fact, I like romance myself, but nevertheless, I found this to be an pretty mundane novel. The characters are one-dimensional, and the plot is predictable. When I was reading it, I found myself apathetic towards the sob-story aspect, because I saw it coming and wasn't interested enough in the cookie-cutter characters to care. While I'm sure it made great fodder for a teen movie, it just doesn't cut it as a good novel.

Summary: Sweetest Romance I've Read in a while
Review: After reading the Smoke Jumper (which I Didn't like) I didn't hold out much HOPE for this book - but I was pleasantly surprised.

This book is how the 2 most unlikely people - Jamie, the preacher's daughter and all round do-gooder and Landon, the bad boy, FALL in LOVE -

i love how the innocence, sweetness, and gentleness of this love is written...

this book really does make you want to smile and cry :)

Summary: A Heartfelt Journey Into 1958 Beaufort, North Carolina
Review: After viewing Mr. Adam Shankman's film version to Mr. Nicholas Spark's novel, "A Walk to Remember," I was not enthralled fully neither to the film nor the novel; however, the novel surpasses my attention over the film starring Mandy Moore as Jamie Sullivan and Shane West as Landon Carter.

As always, when books transform into theatrical features films, original elements of the books are lost and things change to appeal to a certain audience. Major differences between the novel and the film is that the former was from first person perspective of an aged Landon Carter while the latter is from third person perspective. First person works of literature has always appealed me simply because I am in the mind of Landon Carter reading and knowing his thoughts.

The novel captivated me particularly in character development--I was able to see Landon Carter and Jamie Sullivan. This is the area where I had the most pleasure. I designate faces of the closest people to mirror the characters in the novel. As a reader, I became director of my own "A Walk to Remember."

Shankman's "A Walk to Remember," is set in present North Carolina; however, in the novel, it is 1958 North Carolina. I follow Jamie and Landon on their Homecoming dance; I observed them at their first date at the restaurant; I was also present when Jamie informed Landon of her illness and ultimately, I was there at their wedding along with the rest of the folks of Beaufort. It was a heartfelt journey into 1958 Beaufort, North Carolina.

The scripture from 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 was the central theme to "A Walk to Remember." It touched my heart when I read it and it is immensely well-defined definition to what "love" is.

"Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant, does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered, does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails; but if there are gifts of prophecy, they will be done away; if there are tongues, they will cease; if there is knowledge, it will be done away" (1 Cor. 13:4-8, NASB).

Bravo Mr. Nicholas Sparks-for a great, well-written novel!

Review: This has to be the best book I've ever read! It's heart-warming, inspirational, a tear-jerker, and makes you look at love/life through a whole new perspective. It's about a young man who falls in love w/the most unlikely girl that he would ever date, Jamie, a preachers daughter, who is free-spirited and just a great person. This book showed a meaning that will stick w/ us forever- a lesson that needs to be learned, and through the book, you see these two people go through the experiance of life and loves unpredictable miracles.
