Rating: Summary: A can't put down book Review: I give this book 5 stars because I thought it was really good. It is deffently a book you can't put down or even stop wanting to feel tears in your eyes. This book is about a teenage girl named Jamie Silivan in her senior year at high school. Jamie is a very freindly girl and loves spending time with the orphans. She carries a bible around with her every where she goes. People make fun of Jamie behind her back. Then there's a teenage boy named Landon who is a popular one at school and also makes fun of Jamie. Well They both are in a play together. Landon Dosen't want to be in this play but Jamie helps with his lines. Landon falls i n love with her but then there's something else that falls right between their love. I would deffentily recomend this book to any girl and not so much a boy because its more of a love story than an action kind of book. It was really good. This book was wrote by Nicholas Sparks. Very good auotor. All of his books were awsome.
Rating: Summary: It will make you cry or come extremely close to it. Review: Having previously seen the movie and thinking it was really good I decided to get the book and read it. The book to put it bluntly was much more detailed about the relationship between Landon and Jamie and also about how Jamies secret affects Landon, her and their relationship (I am NOT giving any spoilers). I found that the final 40 pages of the book were probably the most sad and at the same time inspiring thing I have ever read. This is the only book that has almost made me cry for about 5 pages within the final part of the book. It truly is a great book and I think I will get more books by Mr Sparks he is a great writer and I finished this book in 1 day (a first for me since Firestarter by Stephen King).
Rating: Summary: Good Book Review: A Walk to Remember is truly a book worth remembering. The story is a heart-wrenching tale of teenage love and trial. The story helps us as readers to remember what it was like being a teenager in love, whether that was only a couple of years ago or centuries ago. It gives us a glimpse into the workings of the teenage mind and it helps us to learn how to deal with hard things in life. In this tale the main character Jamie Sullivan is dying of leukemia and only by maintaining her undying strength and faith does Jamie learn to overcome her trial but also she receives help in her courage from her true love Landon Carter. Landon is such a great asset to her and helps her in so many things that he too learns to have faith and strength. Coming to terms with the eventual death of his girlfriend is hard but teaches him and us, the reader, how to deal with things that life sends. This is truly a tale that inspires and teaches and even though the ending is not a fairy tale ending it still gives us as readers hope that we can endure not matter what.
Rating: Summary: Jamie's Review of A Walk To Remember Review: I loved this book. A Walk To Remember is an intriging book that made me cry and jump for joy at the same time. After reading this book i watched the movie, although it was a good movie it could not match the writing in the book. This book helped me to realize that being on top is not what high school is all about. I think all people should read this because it gives you persective on life!!! I recommend this book very highly to all ages!!!!!!!
Rating: Summary: A great find! Review: A Walk to Remember is a wonderful little book. Jamie Sullivan is a quiet loner, a teenage with few, if any friends. Along comes Landon Carter, the son of a congressman, and the most unlikely of partners for Jamie. However, through numerous twists of fate, and perhaps the power of prayer, Jamie and Landon come to find friendship and love in each other. Although I would wager to say that most men would find this book a little corny, I absolutely loved this story! It was sweet, easy to read, and entertaining. (The book was also ten times better than the movie, in case any of you are using that for comparison.) I highly recommend this book for a leisurely afternoon read.
Rating: Summary: One of the best books ever Review: This book is so wonderful! I saw the movie a couple times before reading the book and I really enjoyed it. And then a couple weeks ago at an airport I found the book and bought it right away. I had it finished two days later and it is simply one of the best books that I have ever read! Now I am very disappointed in the movie. I can't believe they had the nerve to make the movie but not even make it at all like the book. They are completely different and I would most definitely recommend the book over the movie anyday.
Rating: Summary: A Great Book For Any Reader Review: This is one of the few books that I have actually cried while reading it. It was so well written. I completly clicked with all of the characters. It was the type of book that you know or have known someone that resembles every single one of the characters. I have never read any of his books before this one and now I'm hooked on them. I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend this book to someone that wants to read about pure and undying love.
Rating: Summary: A Walk To Remember Review: A Walk To Remember is one of the best books that I have ever read. I also really liked A Bend In The Road. Nicholas Sparks is the best author.
Rating: Summary: Wonderful, absolutely Wonderful Review: This is the first book I have ever read by Nicholas Sparks and I have to say this is an awesome book. I finished reading the whole thing in one night. I am truly impressed because these are usually not the type of books I like to read, but this one just seemed to reach in grab your heart, and hold on to it throughout the whole thing. You will find yourself laughing with them, crying with them, proud of them, and much more as you journey into their lives. I am just at loss for words on this book. I am going to start on The Notebook in just a few minutes. I can only hope it's as good as this one.
Rating: Summary: Better Than the Movie Review: I do love the movie, to begin with. But when I read the book, I found myself liking how much deeper the author made the story. Landon wasn't much of a rebel in the beginning and did become a Christian in the end. He read the Bible with Jamie as she was dying, which helped them draw closer together. In the movie, it was never clear what Landon thought about Christianity in the end. The book is well-written and I like how the narrator is writing in past tense with the sound of someone who has greatly matured and can see situations in a different light than during the time they happened. Get the book! It is fun and very moving.
