Summary: Wonderful Story
Review: Landon needs a date for the dance. Everyone is taken except the Baptist Minister's daughter, Jamie. Jamie was always kind of the "loner" type of girl. Landon swallows his pride and asks her to the dance. Soon him and Jamie start dating. Then the find out Jamie has leukemia. Slowly she gets weaker and weaker. Landon knows time is running out for Jamie. Then he discovers there is something he must do before her time it up.

Wonderful book, a great classic love story.

Summary: A book to remember!
Review: This is a nice story about a teenager who is at school and thinks he is too cool to date one of the girls in his class.
Things turn up very differently from what both of them expected.
A funny, sad, and touching story. I loved it.

Summary: REALLY REALLY GOOD
Review: this book was exquisit! If you haven't read it READ IT. Read the book before you see the movie even though it follows quite well it will ruin the fantastic story. A Walk to Remember is by far my favorite book.

Summary: A Walk to Remember
Review: A Walk to Remember is a wonderful book about a teenager who has been living this life being "perfect" in people's eyes. Jamie was a high school student whose father was a pastor and her mother died when she was born. Jamie went to school but was never part of the "in" crowd. It wasn't until one day when Jamie helped Landon (the popular guy),
and their lives were changed forever. It was an extremely touching story about falling in love and overcoming one of the biggest fears people have!

Summary: Maybe I'm Just a Cynic...
Review: Sorry, I'm not going to give you a plot summary here. There are already about a jillion of those for this book. On to the analysis...

Actually, I really don't know why I bothered to read this book. I guess I'd heard a lot about how Sparks was a skilled writer whose romance novels were great, and I got it in my head that somehow the book might be better than the movie that followed it.

First of all, the writing is flatter than a pancake. The narrative goes on and on unremarkably, and Landon's tone seems devoid of extremely deep emotion at times when the page should be bursting with it.(Spoiler Warning) Once Jamie tells Landon that she has cancer, she declines extremely rapidly and the end of the book seems like an avalanche, as if it simply rushed toward a Hallmark-y conclusion.

More importantly, character development and creation was awful. Although the fact that Landon isn't nearly as much of a troublemaker in the book as he was in the movie, and that should have made his relationship with Jamie a little more probable, other "relational faults" and weakness present in the book made it almost worse than the movie. If anything, Jamie is even more impossibly saintly (and therefore grating) in the book. Also, Jamie and Landon never really seem to have a ton of meaningful conversation. Oh, sure, they talk about their future, their goals, and everything along that vein, but it all seems so forced and predictable. Finally, there is just a lack of chemistry between Landon and Jamie. Of course, I realized that this book was hardly going to be a steamy Harlequin, but their relationship seemed so hopelessly...demure. And Landon dribbles on pathetically about how beautiful Jamie's hair looks when it's loose. GIVE ME A BREAK. Bad writing, worse characters!

Summary: A Walk to Remember
Review: A Walk to Remember is a very romantic book and also has a lot of realistic experiences. This story takes place in a little town called Beaufort it is located in North Carolina. The main characters in this story are Landon Carter and Jamie Sullivan. Other characters are Landon's parents Jamie's father and just other people like their friends. Jamie is the ministers daughter she is shy quiet but always very helpful to anyone and everyone. Landon on the other hand is a handful he is controlling and always wants his way. Landon's family is in the upper class and Jamie and her father don't have a lot of money. Landon and his family have been acquaintances with Jamie and her father for many years but Landon has never thought much of Jamie till recently at age seventeen. Jamie has been teaching Landon life lessons and just being around him a lot, since Jamie said she would help him in any way she made him promise that he wouldn't fall for her. He agreed with the promise thinking the only one who would fall for someone would be her falling for him, but he soon found out he was wrong. I don't always enjoy reading, unless I find a very interesting book. This book is the best book I have ever read and that is no lie! I honestly couldn't stop reading it, it only took me four days to read it. This book has no weaknesses only strengths. It has many different emotions/ and thoughts worked into it; happy times, sad times, suspense, and many parts where you just sit there and wonder what is going to happen next. I would rate this a ten if the scale was one through ten! You should read this book and hopefully if you have never heard of it or if you have and just decided not to read it you will now from just reading my book review

Summary: Sweet tear-at-your-heartstrings love story
Review: This book was so well written and easy to read. I found myself not able to put it down. I easy got teary-eyed from time to time. That usually only happens to me in a movie.

Summary: A very good book to read about love!
Review: I liked when Landon and Jamie became friends. But when he acted like he wasn't friends with her around his own frinds, I thought that was rude. Landon has a life full of problems, but he learns to get pass them, which is is good. Jamie is a nice girl throughtout the whole book. She helps others and gives to charity. At Christmas time Landon does a really nice thing for the kids at the orphange. At the end of the book it becomes sad. Overall, this was a very good book. By far, the best I have ever read.

Summary: A Book You'll Always Remember
Review: A Walk To Remember is by far one of the best books I've ever read. As soon as I started reading, I fell in love with it. Nicholas Sparks does a wonderful job; he truly knows how to touch your heart.

This book starts out with a young man and woman who are complete opposites. Landon's a rebel and Jamie's a goody-goody. Landon says, "Jamie had never been on my social calendar, she wasn't exactly what I called attractive either." Throughout the story Landon and Jamie end up spending time together. Landon looks beyond Jamie's looks and sees that she is a wonderful person. They end up falling in love. We now find Landon and Jamie both saying, "I love you." to each other. It has a great tragic ending that will keep you reaching for the tissues all night long.

I'm not big into reading, but I found with this book, I had trouble putting it down. It has touched my heart in a special way that I won't soon forget. I encourage everyone to read this book. Sparks' story will remain in your heart forever.
