Rating: Summary: I was disappointed in this book. Review: Mr. Sparks latest book is not the quality of Message in a Bottle or The Notebook. I did not laugh or cry...and found the book predictable, no surprises. At least A Prayer For Owen Meany had suspense.
Rating: Summary: WONDERFULL! Review: I have read The Notebook and Message in a Bottle and all three of these books are heartwarming and sure to bring tears to your eyes. Is it because we all find a little piece of ourselves in his stories? Perhaps so. I read the entire book in two hours last night and cried. I had to wake up my husband and tell him the story. Definitly worth your time. I think that it makes a wonderful date to sit and read one of Nicholas Spark's books together, taking turns reading out loud.
Rating: Summary: Excellent book for the holidays or any time of the year Review: From the moment I read the first lines of The Notebook, I was hooked on Spark's novels. A Walk to Remember is an inspirational tale of young love, growing up, and growing better. The story and the characters are captivating and easy to relate to from the start. Landon's (narrator/main character) plain-speaking makes for a fun and easy read, while at the same time motivating all of us to take a deeper look into ourselves and others. This is an especially great book for the hoildays. As with all Spark's novels...don't forget the tissues.
Rating: Summary: NICHOLAS SPARKS HAS DONE IT AGAIN. Review: ONCE AGAIN I COULDN'T PUT IT DOWN. I WAS ON THE WAITING LIST FOR AUTOMATIC SHIPMENT AS SOON AS THIS BOOK WAS RELEASED--I WATCHED FOR MY MAIL EVERYDAY. THE DAY I RECEIVED IT, I STARTED READING IT AND FINISHED IT THAT SAME NIGHT. YOU MUST READ THIS BOOK ALONG WITH HIS OTHERS. WAITING FOR HIS NEXT RELEASE!!!
Rating: Summary: I couldn't put it down!!! Review: I haven't enjoyed an author in a long time like I enjoy the writings of Nicholas Sparks. A Walk To Remember is a story that really gets to your heart. I started it and finished it in a few hours. I couln't put it down. No author has touched my emotions like him. I can't wait to see what he does next!
Rating: Summary: By far the best book I've ever read!! Review: Sparks touches every emotion of the human race in this touching novel. I recommend this book to all ages. Good wholesome writing.
Rating: Summary: Predictable, corny, unrealistic Review: I have been reading all my life. I have never seen a series of books that continue to use the same formula: Predictable, sad, unrealistic. Mr. Sparks will continue on his path toward fame in the publishing world, but not by being a true master of his craft. Literary?...A Walk To Remember is Not. And, sadly, it will not be remembered when true great writing is ever discussed.
Rating: Summary: A Walk To Remember, A Story To Remember Review: I stayed in the tub two hours because I could not stop reading until it was done. Definately worth your time. So short, but sweet. A real tear jerker. Not to mention making me want to volunteer at an orphanage right away.
Rating: Summary: The third time is...well just as charming as the others Review: Nicholas Sparks is one of the greatest authors that I have ever read. Someone suggested The Notebook to me last fall, and I wasn't really looking for a good read, but I found over Thankgiving break in an airport and gave it a chance. The Notebook has come to be my favorite novel. It totally took my heart and held onto it with a deathgrip for the entire novel. Last winter I happened to come by Message in a Bottle and recognized the Author and then the title. So I bought the book and held on to it for a little while. It wasn't until the very end of Christmas break that I had decided to read the book. The novel kept me so captivated, that I did nothing I was suppose to...only read the Book. The sheer poetry of the writing and the characters and story line touched my heart. It was then that I knew that Nicholas Sparks would forever be my favorite writer. Needless to say ( and all you Sparks fans will know where I am coming from) from last Christmas until two weeks ago, I eagerly anticipated the arrival of A Walk to Remeber. The moment I saw it in the Bookstore (I believe it was released earlier than was previously stated) I was elated. I started to read the novel while I was walking through the mall. When I finished, I realized that I had just read one of the most inspirational and touching novels of my life. Sparks, you have done it again. I thank you for being my inspiration, not only as a writer, but as a person as well. I can not wait for the next little miracle you create.
Rating: Summary: A must read for anyone who enjoys a good book Review: "A Walk To Remeber" is the best book I have read all year. I finished it in one day, I just could not put it down. As soon as I finished it I told everyone that they should read it. It was just as good as "Message In A Bottle", if not better. Mr. Sparks is an excellent writer and I recommend everything he's ever written.
