Rating: Summary: I read it constantly, The Best!! Review: A teacher recommended this book to me in 4th grade and I thought, ok, I'll try it. Little did I know that this book would become my favorite. It is about a girl that thinks she is the only one left until she finds a mysterious man walking toward her house. It is the best book I have ever read (the truth) and I guarantee everyone that reads it, will LOVE it!!
Rating: Summary: Excellent book !!!! Review: Being a high school student I found this book to be interesting, a page turner as they say. Ann Burden is a courages young girl who sets out to defy the laws of life during the holocaust. Ann shows the world that even if you are a girl you can still survive in a mans world.I would recommend this book to everyone.
Rating: Summary: Very Good Book and exciting Review: Many people say that this book is boring at the begginig but if you understood what the point of the beginning was about you would be more interested about it. I knew from the start that when Ann meet Loomis that Loomis wasn'tan to meet or even think about marring. Evil Man I think. But on all good points I would recommend this book to all young adults to ages up. Exceptional book indeed!
Rating: Summary: Well written, couldn't put it down, but left you hanging. Review: I really liked the diary format. It is a difficult style to work from, you really have to get into the story to write from that view point. The way he revealed the story of John Loomis was very crafty and the whole story line got you hooked from the very begining. You were just anxious to find out what happened to the heroine I like that Ann was a caracter you could actually care about and that she was tough and could handle herself well. I also thought that it was brilliant to have Faro, the dog, come back and be used against her. The only complaint that I really have about the whole book is that you don't know what is going to happen to Ann. I hope that he was angleing for a sequel by going that route.
Rating: Summary: This is a Great book! Review: Z For Zachariah is a fantastic book! I originally choose it for a book report for school and now I read it constantly! This book is suspensful and interesting. For all High schoolers, I would definatly recommend for you to read this book!
Rating: Summary: Excellent! Review: This was an excellent book. The school librarian recommended it, and I wasn't sure about it at first. The beginning was kind of slow, but after 3 or 4 chapters, it really took off. There was suspense, and mystery, and overall it is one of the best books I've ever read. Definately a good read, and put up with the first few chapters because it is worth it!
Rating: Summary: We want a sequel Review: The ending upset us. We want to know what happened to Ann later. Is there a sequel? How about information on Robert C. O'Brien? We are Sixth Graders that just finished the book in class. We liked it overall.
Rating: Summary: It was GOOD! Review: I liked it. In the begging it was kind of boring, but when Anne met Mr. Loomis the book took off. I would really love to see a sequal to this book.
Rating: Summary: This book was pretty interesting but it's still not the best Review: I thought the book was interesting, but in the beggining it is just starts off, "I am afraid. Someone is coming. I haven't got one bit of information. I thought the book was kind of jumpy, but otherwise it was good.
Rating: Summary: I thought it was enthralling and a great book Review: We read it for school and I liked the book very very much. Yet I couldn't give it 5 stars because the beginning was extremely dull and awfully slow. The man was a little bit scary. I wouldn't quite recommend it for younger ages but young adult most definatly. I would go on to explain it but 17 other people did so I won't bother! But it was good.
