Review: A bit shocked by all the rave reviews! Physically, the book is great. It's colorful, interactive, and full of wonderful illustrations. Content-wise, it's a whole other story. The advice is old-fashioned and likely to make a girl the most unpopular girl in school! Jennifur Brandt is stuck in the 1980's with far too many references to 'Pretty in Pink' and far too much name dropping about the celebrities she knows. Rather than giving any sort of real advise on being stylish, she just tells you how she dresses, how she speaks, what she likes, etc. Call this the Autobiography of Jennifur Brandt!

Summary: Great Gift for Any Teen (or her mother)
Review: Another reviewer said this wonderful book isn't for older readers which could lead some who need it to think they'd gain nothing from it. I bought five copies to give to teens at Xmas; and, although I'm older than dirt, even I picked a few good pesky hints. Most 12 to 21 year olds need advice on how to take control of their own lives while having fun in the process. And it never hurts anyone -- regardless of age -- to be reminded that she is responsible for the quality of her life. Great message -- fun read.

Review: First off, the book is adorable and girly in the best way. And Jennifur seems like the coolest "peskiest" girl ever and someone I'd love to have for a friend. But the content, egh. Thanks, but I already know that I should wash my hair everyday and not wear tube tops. Maybe it's because it's a "young adult" book, but most of the advice is pretty basic stuff. Be yourself, be a lady, etc. I'll pass it on to my cousin in high school - maybe she'll enjoy it more than I did.

Summary: Be a pesky meddling giirrll!
Review: For fab girls sick of their peers who look like replicas of each other (while paying The Gap to advertise for them on their t-shirts), looking for a way out to be unique and creative, dahhling, this is your bible, and "life is a movie starring YOU!" is your mantra. Just that phrase is uplifting in it's self! Jennifur helped me realize that i have a life outside of teenhood-with out being preachy or sounding like she had never been my age! ALso, this book is just plain fun (and looks great in you buidoir!). When ever i feel applesaused or stressed i read a few pages of this book and it makes me feel simply va-va voom about MOI! (Also it has great make up and b/f tips!)Simply a d-i-viiine LIVRE (book)!

Summary: Are You Up to Taking the Pesky Challenge?
Review: Having been a fan of Jennifur's ultra-swanky zine Pesky Meddling Girls for 3+ years, I was beyond excited to find out she had a book coming out.Jennifur's zine (and book) changed my whole outlook on things. Instead of being a sad sack and upset about all my "flaws", her book taught me to embrace all of those qualities, because without them I would not be me. I now look at the world through fuzzy pink glasses. Life Is A Movie Starring You:The Pesky Meddling Girls Guide to Living Your Dreams is awesome, informative and fantastically illustrated. It covers a wide range of topics from etiquette,lingo,room decorating tips, make-up tricks and fashion advice to why nerd boys rock,movies to watch,songs to listen to,books to read and tons o' tips on how to feel fantabulous about yourself as you are.

Review: I am a teenager and I think that this is the best book one getting to know yourself I have ever read (or written in). This book has many places where you put in your own thoughts on life and friends. I used to be depressed, but this book let me see that I actualy had a great life and I should make my "movie" mine and not worry about others opinions.

I really wish I would have had this book when I was 15 or 16. maybe I would have made choices a bit different. I am so impressed with Jennifur and wish her so much in the future!

Review: I came across this book en route of looking for something else. After looking through it, I had to buy it. It is a great book and I LOVE the retro vibe the author displays. I Highly reccomend the book which combines some principles of a bygone era like alternatives to swearing to todays realities of being a "Pesky Girl" in modern society. Good Job Jennifur!
