Review: This is one of my all time favorite bookS!!!! Summary: I Wish this Book didn't have an Ending
Review: This is the best book I have ever read. If this book just went on and on I would just read it till the end of my days. I love The Seere and the Sword. It is a great book. Before I read it I thought it would be boring. The only reason I read the book is because my friend wouldn't shut-up about it. I told her I would read it if she would be quiet. She became quiet imediantly. I guess she wanted me to read it. (He he he he) So I read the book. I couldn't put it down. I didn't stop till I was done. (Darn, it ended) You have got to read this book. If you don't read it, your missing out on a book that should not be missed out on!

Summary: A Grown-Up's Review :)
Review: _The Seer and the Sword_ is the exciting story of two spirited young people: Torina, headstrong daughter of a conquering, warlike king. And Landen, son of the peaceful king Torina's father has just killed. Landen is given to Torina as a slave, but she sets him free on the spot, and an unlikely friendship develops between the two. Over the years, Landen learns the arts of war--but holds to his ideals of peace. And Torina discovers that she is a seer, able to divine the future in a mysterious crystal.

Their friendship is broken when Torina's betrothed, Vesputo, begins plotting for the throne. Both Landen and Torina must flee the country--separately. Landen receives word of Torina's death, while a secretly alive Torina cannot see Landen in her crystal. But all is not lost. Years later, the world's only hope lies in the hands of the leader of an elite outlaw band and a simple country fortune-teller. ;) I highly recommend this fast-paced adventure filled with deadly ambition, tragic battles, true love, and courage.

Summary: This is my favorite book of all time!
Review: Young Princess Torina of Archeld, daughter of Queen Dreea and King Kareed, was one day offered a slave by her father. Not just any slave, the son of the King of Bellandra, whose father had been killed in war by King Kareed himself. Torina who knew very well that her father didn't keep slaves set him free the minute he was granted. The now set free slave (Landen) was sent to live in the barracks. Oh, but that's not all that King Kareed brought back with him after seizing the kingdom of Bellandra, he also brought back a gazing crystal ball for his daughter who at the time did not know she was a seer (one who can see into the future) During an archery tournament in which Landen won, Torina kept her crystal ball nearby. As she could see into the future, she was able to save him from a painful death(of which you will find the details later) Landen wanted to payback the kind girl and gave her archery lessons in secret. It ended once Torina turned twelve and a close watch was kept on her. The archery lessons between the two ceased and they never saw each other anymore. When Torina turned 15, three years later, she came to love Vesputo, a malicious and manipulative man who would do anything to achieve his cunning ends. Vesputo would butter up Torina with compliments and Torina had no idea that he was using her for the crown as King. Landen noticed the acts of Vesputo and noticed whenever Torina came out to greet the kingdom he would always stay up close to her, Landen, who knew of Vesputo's behaviour, warned Torina that Vesputo would kill her father, and Torina turned him away. There, that is where I'll leave you hanging. This is definitely the best fantasy fiction I have ever read. There were no flaws or anything, I understood every point and detail in the story, and I started reading the book at 11 at night fell asleep with it open at 2:30, woke up and finished it in the morning. It's one of those books that you just have to finish, but when you do, you regret it because it is over! This book deserves 10 stars!

Summary: The Seer and the Sword
Review: This was a great book. The scenes switch quickly, and there are a lot of stories going on at once, but it is fairly simple to piece together. This is a 'can't put it down...must read' kind of book. This story is somewhat lengthy, but i managed to finish it in 3 days, and I am in the 8th grade. I would definetely recommend reading this book of royal romance and loyalties.

Summary: Impressed!
Review: Recommened to me by a friend who knows the author, I first picked up the book with thoughts of pleasing him. Though it seemed a bit slow in the beginning with so much exposision, the book turned out to be an incredible ride! As a huge fan of characterization, I found the players to be exciting, sympathetic, well-developed, and most importantly REALISTIC! (Maybe the only exception was Vesputo, but what is there to say about him--he's the bad guy!)
The story itself is incredible. Once the action picked up, I found myself up until 1:30am, with morning classes in just a few hours, begging for more. The twists and tention make you want to scream with sorrow and excitement!
Don't pass over this because of the YA classification (the original source of my skepticism). Young Adult doesn't mean it's lower quality or only for younger people. 12 and UP, people! This is a good book!

Summary: A Book To Marvel
Review: Such a book leaves me breathless in the depths of fantasy after I read it. Torina's headstrong-like character portrays a brave, and extremely willfull girl. And Landen is a true person with much intellect. Victoria Hanley is not only an author of an extremely extrordianry novel, she is a person with an ingenious and constructive mind. I confess, I am a victim of the The Seer and the Swords hypnotic pages. Miss Hanley's sense of romance and imagination is beyond bounds. Definitely a book I would suggest to read.

Summary: The Seer and the Sword: More like a movie than a book!
Review: With quick "scene changes" within the chapters, The Seer and the Sword reads like a film script rather than a novel. This trait adds much imagination to this book.
I, with a forgetful mind, do not usually like novels with a lot of characters to remember the names of. Yet, in The Seer, it added a bit more enjoyment.
You could call it a fantasy, but that would be an understatement. With different kingdoms, magic, and huge wars being fought all over the land combines the elements of a fantasy so sweetly it needs a cherry on top.
Anybody who neglects to read this book is missing the chance of a lifetime, a bright color in the mind's eye of books.

Summary: Awesome And Intricate Plot
Review: I'm writing this after rereading the Seer and the Sword for the 5th time. This book is one of my all-time favorites. The best part is definitely the plot.(Just so you know what I'm doing, I'll use the first letter of their name to identify a person.)

After Torina's father defeats a neighboring kingdom, and brings home the prince, Landen, as a slave, T sets him free and he begins learning to fight in the barracks. T's father also gives her a crystal ball which he brought from L's kingdom as spoils of war. T and L become friends over the years as T learns she can see the past, present, and even future in her crystal. Then tragedy strikes. T's betrothed, Vesputo, murders T's father. L must run away because he is thought to be the culprit and T (who saw it happen)is imprisoned in her rooms by V. T escapes (I won't tell you how)to the kingdom of Desante. Over time she becomes an informer of King Dahmis, high king of Glavenrell. Meanwhile, L is also in Desante, under the name of Bellanes. He becomes the ringleader of a band of criminals under the command of King Ardesen, King of Desante.
Now that's not the end of the story - there are plenty of other twists. But I can't tell you any more, so if you want to find out if Landen and Torina ever reunite, or if Landen or Torina ever recover their kingdoms, you'll just have to buy the book and find out. But, believe me, it's an awesome book, it has an intricate plot, and it's full of action. It's a great book for teens and adults. If you never read it, you're really missing something.
