Summary: A Somewhat Unrealistic Book
Review: Reading this was kind of nauseating. Don't get me wrong, this was a great book and all, but it was kind of sickening because she kept going back to him. I know people are going to say it's easier to say that when it's not you who is in the abusive relationship-but it seemed like pretty much common sense to me. Where I come from (an urban African-American community), the women here are so strong and you hardly ever hear of this type of thing happening.
When she finally decided to get help and the lady warned of what Ray would try, she still would't listen- how naive could you get? She should have saw the warning signs anyway from what he did when they were still children. Don't give me that she was too young to know mess either because the fact is:society doesn't give young people enough credit- we know more than you think we do. I don't know why it's so hard for some people to realize, after being hit the first time, that the second time could be their last.

Summary: The Breakable Vow
Review: This book is a must read for every high school girl. The book is very informational on the signs of dating violence and at the same time is enjoyable to read. Your heart will grow for the characters and you'll feel as if you are right in the story with them.

Summary: Wonderful Book
Review: This book is one of the best that I have read lately. It is for the most part realistic. You come to care for Annie greatly and want her to get out of the abusive situation with Kevin. Kevin acts like the typical abuser. He does something then he claims that he is sorry and will never do that again. Obviously he does. This book also has details about abuse in the back which can be very helpful in figuring out if you are in an abusive situation. I would recommend this book to everyone. I believe that even guys need to read this book because it might help them to see what abuse is for women and if they are heading towards being abusive.

Summary: The Breakable Vow is ASTONISHING!
Review: This book opened up a whole new world to me. My mother had faced an abusive marriage to my father when I was younger, but not as bad as what Annie had to face. The Breakable Vow is a wonderful book filled with hope and faith. I read this book in less than a week and that's definately a record for me, especially since I barely ever read. With every word that I read, I couldn't stand to put the book down. Kathryn Ann Clarke wrote a fantastic book that kept you reading till the end and wanting more and more. I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a story of strength, hope, and will power of a strong, struggling mother/wife. I definately would not rate this any lower then 5 stars.

Summary: WOW! That's all I can say!
Review: This has to be one of the best and most memorable books I've ever read. You follow a journey with this woman that's just amazing. She meets Kevin, they date for a few years, she gets pregnant, they get married, go to college and she ends up fighting for her life from who used to be a trusting and loving friend & now is a complete monster. It's like a Lifetime movie in a book! I reccommend this to any and everyone. My ownly complaint is the length of the book, it's so long, but it's so good I couldn't give it anything less than 5 stars!

Summary: Mind Capturing and Realistic
Review: This is a book that will keep you on the edge of your seat. I picked it up and could not put it down. The true dynamics of domestic violence shout out at you. This is not only a great story line but the information is true to form in domestic violent relationships. My teenage daughter read it as well and could not put it down. The story is about a typical family that you can relate to and see yourself in. Anne is real and heart-warming that you would think she is one of your friends. The book shows that domestic violence can affect anyone. The author shows us that domestic violence knows no boundaries. Anne's family is a typical family, as well. Kevin's actions show what is typical in domestic violence also. I highly reccommend teenagers to read this book before they actually date. This can be a helpful tool for parents to explain domestic violence to their teenagers. The information in the back of the book is incredibly helpful and can be used as a guide. I highly reccommend this book for teenagers and older. It's rare that a book can appeal to teenagers and adults. This book does. I commend Kathy Clarke for addressing an issue that is seldom talked about. This is a valuable tool and entertaining at the same time.

Summary: WARNING!!!!! WARNING!!!!! IT COULD HAPPENED TO YOU
Review: THIS IS THE MOST WONDERFUL BOOK I HAVE EVER READ. UNFORFUNATLY I HAVE HAD TOO MANY THINGS IN COMMON WITH THE AUTHOR. THIS BOOK HAS GIVEN ME SO MUCH HOPE THAT I TOO WILL SURVIVE. IT HAS GIVEN ME SUCH INSENTIVE TO TALK ABOUT MY EXPERIENCES AND TRY TO MAKE OTHERS AWARE OF THE MENTAL/PHYSICAL ABUSE THAT IS HAPPENING EVERY DAY. IT HAPPENS MUCH MORE THAN ANYONE KNOWS. I WANT TO TELL AS MANY PEOPLE AS I CAN ABOUT THE SIGNS THAT ARE OUT THERE WHILE THEY ARE DATING. THINGS THAT SEEM LIKE NOTHING BUT ARE REALLY WARNING SIGNS. I WANT TO HELP. I ONLY WISH SOMEONE WOULD HAVE HELPED ME. I CAN AND WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE. EDUCATION IS THE ANSWER/THE KEY. I HOPE TO SEE PART 2 OF THIS BOOK SOON
