Rating: Summary: sweet valley high has really grown up. Review: sweet valley high has really grown up, but seeing as the twins had been 16 since about 1984 this is way overdue. ive read through all the other reviews and i cant see why everone thinks jessicas turned into a wuss or boring as some of you put it. jessica's changed but beleive me, this change is realistic. you fellow svh fans cant expect her to be the wild and spontaneous jess that she was forever. everyone's got that bit of insecurity in them. as for liz, thank god she got out of that rut. she was turning into one of the most boring people on the face of the planet. certainly a year on she has spiced up. what happened over her summer???? anyway as for the series, a+ guys. well done. certainly a welcome and much needed change for devoted svh fans. keep it up!!
Rating: Summary: All right...nothing more, nothing less... Review: The parts about Angel's financial hardship are real, but I thought Angel's parents over-reacted at Angel's losing money in gambling. I mean, Angel's eighteen, an adult. I think his parents should be more in the line of "Oh, hey, that's too bad, but at least you learned the dangers of gambling" & let him work to re-earn his college tuition, even if it means delaying college another year. And Liz & Connor! I agree with the previous reviewers who said that the plot was dragging on too long. I think Liz should be "single" for a while & go to the movies or the Riot with Maria & her other friends (In the BSC series, Mary Anne went through a heart-wrenching breakup with Logan & cried & cried, but never do you see Mary Anne lying around the house feeling sorry for herself; even though her heart is still broken, she's doing fun things with her friends & babysitting & keeping her neat, no-mistake BSC secretary notebook). But no, Liz is STILL moping around the house (still stuck at Lila's) feeling sorry for herself & moaning about having "no life." And Liz is usually level-headed. Especially her last diary entry struck me as being really self-pitying. I can see her being upset, but let's end the self-pity party here! Liz needs to move on from Connor. Maybe she & Megan could team up & get help for Ms. Sandborn's alcoholism, since I assume Liz & Megan are still friends. But really, Liz should get up off her back & get on with her life.
Rating: Summary: Great, Funny, and Realistic Review: This book is great! Angel is dealing with his money problems, Tia is dealing with Angel, Jessica is dealing with Will and Jeremy, Liz is dealing with Conner, Will is dealing with Jessica, Conner is dealing with his mom, Jeremy is dealing with Jessica, Andy is dealing with himself, and they are also dealing with the kidnapping thing. Also, one part that caught my eye is the part where Jeremy writes his letter to God, and ends it with, "If you need soemone else to torture, there's this guy Will Simmons...", showing his rivalry with Will. Now I am a fan of both Will and Jeremy, btu that line cracked me up. Anyway, this book is great!
Rating: Summary: Interesting, FUnny, Realistic, Romantic! Review: This book is reall great! The whole Angel thing is so realistic, and the way he's pressured with the money situation is so well- written it makes you wonder what you'd do in his shoes. Tia is also worried that she's become part of the problem. Jessica loves both Will and Jeremy. Even though Will ruined her life, she still has a thing for him. I am a fan of both Will and Jeremy, but I cracked up when I read the part where Jeremy wrote a letter to, you know, and ended it off with "If you need someone else to pick on, there's this guy Will Simmons...", I fell over laughing! I love both Jeremy and Will, but it was mad funny! Anyway, this book is great! Jess falls for Will, but is nervous to admit it cause she's afraid she's betrayign Jeremy. Liz is all depressed about Conner. COnner is having problems with his mother, who's suddenly acting strange. The whole Will/Jessica/Jeremy love triangle is well written. The Angel situation with his money and Tia is well written. ALso, the funny thing Jeremy wrote is well written. This book is great!
Rating: Summary: The best one yet! Review: This has to be may favorite Senior Year book yet! It has everything! Lot's of Tia, Lots of Will and Jessica (read the ending). It is very funny. It's also sad. We finally see Andy again. We also have a wonderful ending that leaves you hanging for more!
Rating: Summary: Best book keep on reading Review: this was a really great senior year. I think that is was worth every penny. It is about Tia and Angel and how he lost all his money, at the race track and about his decision to stay or to go away to college. It makes you never want to stop reading it and it is very suspensful with Jessica and Jermey and all there problems going on. it is very good and i recomend it a lot.
Rating: Summary: I thought it was pretty cool Review: Well I've been reading the Sweet Valley series since I was a little kid. I've read at least 20 books from each little sub series. Except for the newer ones that don't have 20 out yet. Anyways I think that SVHSY is their best yet. I thought think it's really cool that Will and Jessica are getting together and i'm glad that Ken got back on the football team. the only thing that I'd like to see is that Conner and Liz get back together soon. Even though I'd like her and Todd to get back together sometime before the series ends.
Rating: Summary: Kinda Deppressing Review: Well, that part at the beggining with Angel and Tia just sorta drags on. It's like Tia keeps hearing the same thing over and over, and over and over, she freaks out. My friend said in about April that she really didn't like Jessica and that Elizabeth was the better of the two. While I was reading this book and I was looking at one of Elizabeth's journal entries, I realiized that she obsesses too much. And I think Andy should hook up with Elizabeth, or somehting. The guy seems kinda funny and he never seems to get a break. I wait every month for the next book in the series, but my bookstore is extemely slow. I got so frustrated looking at the excerpts for Broken Angel that I went to another city about 200 miles away and bought it there.
