Rating: Summary: Pretty good Review: This book was pretty good, but not one of the best i have ever read. The suspensful story of David, a seventeen year old who has been aquitted of murder, unfolds and makes it hard to put down. A must read for anyone who loves supense thrillers.
Rating: Summary: Not a typical book... Review: This book was wonderful because there was nothing typical about it. The suspense was very well done, and the book was able to keep surprising me. Characterization was also done well, at least of the main characters anyway.
Rating: Summary: A fascinating and chilling psychological mystery. Review: This fascinating and chilling psychological novel definitely deserved the Edgar award (best 1998 mystery for young adults) that it recently received. I gulped it down in one sitting. The mysterious underpinnings keep tension high, but (unlike some books in the mystery genre) the characters are three-dimensional and complex, and the book has something important to say about guilt and forgiveness.
Rating: Summary: The Killers Cousin Review: This is a great book, although it took a few pages to actually catch my attention, when it finally did it had me wanting to read more to find out what happens next. It has ghosts and it has parts that would make you suspicious of every one in the book. If you like a book that keeps your heart racing I would reccomend that you read this book.
Rating: Summary: Wonderful characters Review: This is one of my favorite books in the world (though I haven't seen it in about four months cause I lent it to a so-called "friend" who promises to return it "any day now", argh). The thing I like best is the characters. David was so real to me, afraid of himself, lonely, guilty. Frank was probably my favorite character in the book. He reminds me of certain friends of mine. At first I really disliked Lily -- she seemed like a demon-child -- but after I realized what had happened I felt sorry for her. The only part of the book that I didn't like was Kathy's ghost. I didn't think that belonged in an otherwise realistic story, though it was through Kathy that David realized what Lily had done. All in all, a great book which I'd recommend to anyone who likes suspense novels.
Rating: Summary: One of a Kind! - Rachele Review: This is the best book I have ever read, and I read lots! I loved it! It is an amazing story about the pain David Yaffe, an 18 year old boy who accidentally killed his girlfriend, goes through as he struggles to get on with his life. It's an emotional, suspenseful thriller that keeps you up at night. If you haven't read this book, then I advise you to do so. This is one GREAT book!
Rating: Summary: The Killer's Cousin Review: This was a great book! I would recommend it to anyone. It is about David Yaffe who accidently killed is girlfriend. And his cousin, Lily. Lily is mean to him when he goes to stay with her family to complete his senior year of high school. David begins to wonder just what is wrong with Lily. You really should read this!
Rating: Summary: The Killer's Cousin Review: This was an excellent book! It kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time I was reading it. I liked how they didn't tell you the whole background of the story before David moves in to his aunt and uncle's house. The ending probably could have been better, but it was sufficient. I would recommend this book to most people who like to read and anyone who needs a semithriller!
