Rating: Summary: This suspenseful drama will keep you on guessing...... Review: The Killer's Cousin by Nancy Werlin is a dramatic page turner that will keep you guessing right up to the end. Seventeen-year-old David Yaffe, recently aquitted of killing his girlfriend, moves to Massachusetts to live with his estranged aunt, uncle, and cousin to escape the media and questioning glances from his family and friends. Because of his aunt's cold stares, his cousin's downright hostile behavior, and the ghostly shadows he sees in his attic apartment,David finds it difficult to feel at home. David wonders what secrets his family is hiding, but what he doesn't know is how close he is to the deadly truth. We recommend this book to anyone who appreciates a good psychologic thriller. We couldn't put this book down.
Rating: Summary: A Real Mystery Review: The Killer's Cousin by Nancy Werlin is a well-written book. It's about a seventeen year old named David Yaffe who had accidentally killed his girlfriend and then had to move in with his aunt and uncle. In his attic apartment, he kept seeing ghostly shadows and heard a strange humming at night. He also had to deal with his eleven year old cousin, Lily's hostile behavior. As he learned more about Lily, he started to figure out a secret that's been kept hidden for 4 years. I really liked The Killer's Cousin because I thought it was great mystery book, which I really like. Also, because the author did a really good job describing the characters and the setting. I think this book is great for anyone who loves mysteries as much as I do.
Rating: Summary: A compulsively readable melodrama Review: The Killer's Cousin has a lot going for it, not the least of which is author Werlin's facility with words and with unfolding a yarn that kids will actually want to read. She's got as good a style as anyone writing young adult. But what she cooks up here in The Killer's Cousin is finally as substantive as goassamer; more suited for ABC Daytime than for serious fiction. Not that literature can't be about a boy who's been acquitted of a murder and a younger cousin who might want to kill him. Shakespeare tackled similar themes. But it's that Werlin handles them all with so little depth, on such a surface level of her characters that it all finally feels...sensational. Add in a fiery ending that beggars belief and you've got a novel that kids will find hard to put down, but which is ultimately literary cotton candy. On to the next for this author--she has tons of promise. Hopefully, it'll be fulfilled in the next novel.
Rating: Summary: Nancy Werlin's The Killers Cousin Review: The killers cousin is an EXCELLENT book, I could not put it down. Reading that book made me want to start reading, Now that I have read that book and a few of her other ones it is hard to find books that are exciting. She is a Great author and I think that everyone should read her books. They are books that catch you within the first few pages and they keep you wondering. I look forward to her writing more.

Rating: Summary: The Mysteries of David Yaffe Review: The novel,"The Killer's Cousin," is about a young man who is convicted of murder and is sent to go live with his Aunt and Uncle in Cambridge, Massachusetts. While David is there he begins to notice his cousin's Lily's abnormalities. For example, she just appears out of nowhere and find's out things that sometimes David can't figure out how she got hold of that information. David suspects that Lily is like this because she blames herself for her older sisters death which happened a few years earlier. ... I would recommend this book for somebody to read because it really get's you into the book and it makes you never want to put the book down. For example, at some points they would talk about something and then keep giving you more and more information so you won't put the book down until you find out what they're talking about.
Rating: Summary: Very suspenseful and entertaining! Review: This a book about a teen ager who is accused of the accidental murder of his ex-girlfriend so he moves to his aunt and uncles' house in a different state to get away from the media and nightmares this has caused him and his family. Now his dead cousin, who supposedly committed suicide, is coming to her old apartment where she used to live and telling him things about his younger cousin, Lily. Lily is supposedly a little crazy according to him and she is not making his life any easier. This is a book that would keep someone entertained for a long time if you like suspense and mysteries. I liked it because the story line was good and it kept me thinking because it left out some major points in the biginning. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes to read and who is planning on reading a lot in one sitting.
Rating: Summary: The Killer's Cousin Review: This book is very exceptional and I believe that is one of the best's books that I have read. I feel, as thought book was right on the target it didn't go from one story to another. I really liked this book I would recommend this book to anyone that asked me. Their are many twist and turn in the book but the book keep me on the edge. This book is on my top ten and I think it will stay there. So read this book if you like to read fabulous books.
Rating: Summary: not for the lighthearted Review: This book uses a unique blend of history and psycology with a touch of compassion. There is suspense left and right, and the realism of the story grabs the reader with a firm hold and makes them want to be there. The story is amazing in it's entirety with not a dull or uninteresting moment. The main character feels real feelings and creates realistic solutions for his problems. Yet, the backround isnt blurted out in the first ten pages, but trickles out enough to keep the reader satisfied with information. A wonderful story with an excellent plot.
Rating: Summary: In one word, Different. Review: This book was different. It is not possible to decribe the way the plot changes throughout the book. As the characters develop through the book, things happen that you woulnd'nt of expected. I definitly recommend this book to everyone. I couldn't put it down. However, near the end I didn't understand the actions of David (the main character). To me his actions were not at all like his character throughout the book. However, this is one of the best books I have ever read and it's definitly something you should read.
