Summary: A Fascinating Psychological Drama
Review: David Yaffe was just acquitted of murdering his girlfriend, Emily. But in fact, his nightmare is just beginning. David goes to live with his aunt and uncle, hidden away from the media and the endless questions. But instead of peace and quiet, he finds Lily. At eleven years old, Lily has already seen her older sister die and spent years a pawn between her parents, neither of whom actually speak to the other. She is any psychologists' dream: crafty, clever, sly, and seroiusly messed up. Living in close proximity to Lily, David cant help but notice his young cousin's personality problems. He finds himself the focus of her anger and his aunt and uncle's disdain. In the midst of all this is Kathy, Lily's older sister who has been dead for four years. Kathy died in the very apartment that David calls home, and her spirit won't rest until Lily is safe. But what can David do? How long can he handle Lily before the whole situation goes up in flames?

Summary: Edge of your seat-page turner
Review: Great for people who like suspenseful and engaging books. It was not predictable, and the novel left the reader with some interesting questions about how one would feel after killing someone (accidently). I had never really thought of the implications...not just guilt and remorse but what one of the characters said...the "power" you feel when one takes a life. That would be a very heavy burden to carry.

Summary: I loved this book
Review: I am in 7th grade and I loved this book! It was really suspensful and if some parts were obviously going to happen there were a lot of surprises. It was also cool because you kind of had to piece together the main characters past as you went a long. The book didn't just tell you. It is a little confusing at first because of this but then you get used to it and it is really cool.

Summary: The Book That Keeps You On The Edge Of Your Seat The Whole T
Review: I found the book "The Killer's Cousin" very satisfying. It is about a seventeen year old boy, David Yaffe, who is convicted of killing his girlfriend and is therefore sent to live with his aunt and uncle. While David is there he discover's that his aunt does not like him and the many mysteries of his 11 year old cousin Lily. The longer that David is there the more he begins to notice Lily. She begins to sabotage David's attic apartment day by day. Lily crashes his computer, empties all of the food from David's fridge and many more little tricks. Until one night David goes to confront his aunt and uncle about what Lily has been doing and all they can do is disagree with them and threat to kick him out of the house if he keeps on making up these lies. So now nobody will believe him and Lily keeps on harassing David. In the end he discovers a secret that has been kept inside for a very long time. I would recommend this book to anybody who is interested in mysteries because you are always wondering what is going to happen next. For example, they will give out bits and bits of information until finally they come to the conclusion. "The Killer's Cousin" was one of the best books that I have ever read.

Summary: The Killer's Cousin
Review: I found the book The Killer's Cousin very enjoyable. It's one of those books that keeps the reader wanting to know more and forces them to read on. It's about a 17 year old boy named David who was recently acquitted of murdering his girlfriend. To escape the media he moves out of state to stay with his aunt, uncle and 11 year old cousin Lily. After moving though, he can't help but feel not welcome or at home.
The longer he's there, the more and more he feels like he's unwanted. Lily becomes very hostile towards him and even sneaks into his attic room and sabotages his things. It's almost as if she knows something she doesn't want David to know. David tries to talk to her and her parents but it doesn't help. David begins to realize that he has more in common with Lily than he thought. The closer he gets to discovering Lily's ugly secrets the more intense the book becomes.
I recommend this book to anybody who enjoys a good mystery full of suspense and keeps you on the edge. The author makes it feel real and really knows how to write a story full of amazing twists and turns that lead to an unexpected climax. This book was one of the best books I have ever read.

Review: I loved the mystery of David's life which was slowly revealed and the unfolding of Lily's story which eventually enterwine with a common thread. They both learn a powerful life lesson in the end. A compelling read. Excellent mystery, no illustrations, and will recommend it to 7th through the 12th grades, as well as teachers and parents.

Summary: A book that was hard to put down and impossible to forget
Review: I picked this book up to review it for our library website but by the time I had finished it I was recommending it to all of my work mates to read for themselves. This is an intense book that had me reading half the night to finish it in one sitting. The characters are vivid and very "real" - even though in places there are problems with the reality of the situations. Davids plight and Lily's secret are always at a boiling point under the storyline, and I am so glad that I do not live in that house. The one question that ran through my mind the entire time was - did David really kill his girlfriend?

Summary: Not a Very Good Book
Review: I read this book a couple of days ago and I REALLY did not like it. I don't think it was very well written at all, and the plot made no sense to me. Maybe that is because I am in 7th Grade. Much of the book was not needed, and there were many parts that should have been there. This book really needs a sequel.
