Summary: A Masterpeice
Review: The book "Behind the Attic Wall" expresses the author's true meaning to what it's like to be isolated and suddenly discovered. Her wonderful describing of the mind of a solitary, imaginative, little orphaned girl. I encourage books like these towards young readers.

Summary: A classic, a book that gives you a warm feeling
Review: The first time I read this book, I was in elementary school. I picked it up in my school library, and thought it looked interesting. The minute I started to read it, I could not put it down. It captures you and holds on till the very end, only to let go and make you happy. I have read this book numerous times, and now I'm a junior in high school and I am not ashamed to say that this is still my favorite book. Syliva Cassedy is a splendid writer, the way she decribes the things in the story, it puts this vivid picture in your mind. I am still brought to tears everytime I read the story, it is so heartfelt. This book may be for 9-12 age range, but it can definately tug the heart strings of the older crowd.

Summary: ultimately disappointing
Review: The story premise was very good, but... The characters were not fully developed. How or why a change was effected in Maggie was not clarified. How Maggie moved into and got accepted into another family and how she became a loving person is unknown. Uncle Morris is a mere sketch of a person, and the aunts are outlines of a sketch. Seems that the author was up against a deadline and had to tie things up before the story matured in the author's mind.

Summary: Behind the Attic Wall
Review: This book is a bout a little girl who has no parents and has been in more boarding schools than she can remember. She has never been in one place long enough or doesn't trust who she is living with to make any friends. Finally she is taken in by her two aunts and uncle. Their house use to be a boarding school. While she is living their she finds something very special. She found someone who finally loves her. This book was an excellent book. It was fun and easy reading. The only down side of the book is it is slow starting but once it picks up it never stops.

Summary: Perennial Favorite
Review: This book is an all-time favorite. Read it to your child and they will never forget it. It is an imaginative story of love and finally acceptance for a lonely little girl. While somewhat far- fetched to someone reading for the first time when they are an adult, children will fall in love with Maggie- and the magic- Behind the Attic Wall.

Summary: A must read for all ages.
Review: This book should be read by (read to) every child from third grade to adult. It is engaging, exciting, and emotional. I felt for Maggie's plight and shared in her joys. This should be a must read for 6th grade classrooms. Excellent for teaching metaphor, simile, personification...just a good read book

Summary: A great "doll-tale"!
Review: This book was one of my favorites that I've ever read. It was very intriguing. It's one of those book where on a day when you have nothing to do you read Behind The Attic Wall again. Maggie is a normal girl until she finds her own mystical world with dolls. I loved this book. A definitate all-time classic fairy tale.

Summary: Creepy
Review: This is a fairly well-written book, but when I read it as an eleven year old, it scared the heck out of me. The whole concept of the living dolls and the dead-but-not-gone uncle -- it's just too weird, and not in a good way.

Summary: Awesome
Review: This is a story about a girl named Maggie, who moves into a new house and doesn't like it. When she thinks things are the worst she hears strange voices in the walls. Read to find out what the voices were. It is a mystery. The whole time you think you know what's going to happen but, think again. It's one of the best books ever.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: A wonderfully interesting story
Review: This is about a girl named Maggie who has moved into and out of several boarding houses since she was little. Finally, she moves into a used-to-be boarding house, part of which was burned down. She lives with her funny Uncle Morris and two persnickity aunts. She hears strange voices in the walls. Who's talking behind the walls? Maggie is dying to know. When she finally finds out, the happiness that she's been deprived of for so many years starts to creep into her heart, and her life is changed forever.
