Summary: the story of a girl who finds a reason to live....
Review: I first read this book when I was 18, and now at twenty I have my own copy. this story is beautiful, engaging touching and mysterious. When an orphan, Maggie, is sent to live with two aunts she has given up on life. She has been hurt so many times she rejects others before they can reject her. When she meets two dolls that live in the attic of the house, she finally learns to use her imagination and is loved. More importantly, she learns how to love others, and finds a reason to live. A beautiful story for kids of all ages. Destined to be a classic.

Summary: A wonderful and magical story...
Review: I first read this book when I was about 9 or 10 -- I'm now going on 24. To this day, I still remember the fascination of reading this story, and the eerie picture on the cover. I found this book in a store just the other day, and had to re-buy it! From her uncertainty of meeting her GREAT-aunts... to the mystery and secrets of the dolls(and their garden)... and the magical ending... it is definately a wonderful book for children (and adults, too).

Summary: Great Book!
Review: I read Behind the Attic Wall when I was about 12, but i can STILL remember the book, now that I am 19. Even though I don't remember every single detail of the book, just thinking of it gives me a warm and happy memory. I plan to buy the book and read it again, and pass it on to my children one day.

Summary: Magical!!
Review: I read this book for the first time when I was 12, and loved it... to this day it is one of my all time favourites!
It is a heartwarming, wonderful story, beautifully written, with very well developed and believable characters (hard to find in kids books), an excellent plot and a magical ending!!... All in all a Masterpiece for Children!

Maggie is a 12 year old girl, who is sent to live with her two very strict and conservative great aunts after she was thrown out from yet another boarding school.
They and her uncle Morris are her only living relatives.
When she arrives to their house she wants to immediatly leave; they are not nice, they are very strict and they do not love her or want her there.
Then one day, she began hearing whisperings and voices coming from the other side of the closet, and when she finally discovered to whom those voices belonged to, she found her own private fantasy and magical world and felt for the first time that she was loved and that she belonged.

If there was a chance to put six or seven stars, this is one of the few books that would get them! (5 SOLID stars)

Summary: A book that sticks with you
Review: I read this book when i was in 4th grade. I really thought the dolls were real and had no idea that the story had such a deep storyline... until now. I am a teacher now and i was trying to think about what books i want for my silent reading time library in my classroom. I strted thinking about books i enjoyed an di thought of this book. If it could stick with me this long, you know it is a good book. I am buying a copy to read again and then put in my classroom. Alot of my students have lived in myany different "placements" and this will be a book that hits close to home.

Summary: The best book
Review: I read this when I was young, probably 7 or 8. I'm 18 now, and it still stands to be my favorite book. The story is so magical and you can't put it down. It really was an inventive story. I'm trying not to write much without giving anything away - but I assure you, if you read it, you won't be disappointed.

Summary: One of my very favorites...
Review: I remember reading this book as a child, and I loved it! I had a very difficult time trying to find it after all these years, and I am in love with it again. It just makes you feel very good about yourself, and it raises all kinds of imaginative levels within your mind.

Summary: A Great Book, but...
Review: I think that the main story was great, but I was left with many questions. Why would these people become dolls? Was Uncle Morris also called as Maggie was? Is that why he also became a doll? Will Maggie also become one? What did the dolls and Uncle Morris mean when they said "Your the right one, Maggie"? Maybe I'm not supposed to think those things, but I couldn't help it. Maybe some of these questions are answered in the book, I'll have to read it over. Otherwhise, it was beautiful.
