Summary: Two boys who strugal through life in the depresion
Review: This was an interesting book and realy made you see and feel how bad things were for people in the time of the depresion. My one problem with the book was all the spelling errors. The one thing that caught my intrest though was how well discribed this book was,it realy gives you a pitcher. I like this book and would recomend it.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: It's aight.
Review: The book was very influential towards learning about the great depression. But the book editor was horrible. He had madd typos. And the ending kinda sucked. They could have made it better. We had no reference if they ever went back or any thing. But over all it was aight.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: It taught me about the Great Depression.
Review: I really enjoyed the book. There were some parts that lost my attention but other than that, I liked it. The only criticism is that I wish the book would have told me what happened with Janie and Lonnie.

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: Ok. Good story line but it had a weak ending
Review: I liked the beginning but towards the end it just seems she could've made it a bit stronger, maybe even a bit different.

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: Not bad but nowhere near good
Review: It was just to long and boring. I had to read it in school and I just wouldn't recomend this book to ANYONE! Try J.R.R. tolkien or brian jacques for something worth reading.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: excellent way to learn about Great Depression
Review: I thoroughly enjoyed the book. Learning about history does not come easy for me with textbooks. No Promises in the Wind enabled me to gain a greater understanding of a major event in American history while enjoying the fictitious plot created by Hunt. My only criticism is the lack of an epilogue letting the reader know that Josh and Joey maintained their relationship with Lonnie and Janey.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: "No Promises In the Wind" was an excellent book!
Review: I truly loved reading this novel with my eighth grade english class that after finishing it I went out and bought my own copy to reread on my own. I think that everyone should read this book to experience the adventures of Josh and Joey. The story of these two boys is something that I will never forget. I think that this is a story that shows anything is possible and in a way, it is very motivational. If the two boys could survive together on their own, anything that people are faced with in real life situations can be conquered and overcome. I again, recommend this book to all.

Summary: To Whom it May Concern........
Review: This book , like many others by Irene Hunt was a well written and excellent book. Someone complained of their 11 yr. old not understanding it. In my opinion, that was obvisly from lack of knowledge, for this book was rather easy to comprehend. Others complained it was poorly written. They,it semms ,did not understand the acttual plot.I suppose this all comes from writting much myself, and even as a simple 11 yr. old I've had a few things published. if the author of this great book was to see this I would ask her to write a sequal.

Summary: A outstanding book to devour in one night.
Review: I must admit I have had this book for a few years but, as I started to read this captivating story I could not put it down till the story was finished. The characters of Josh and Joey were so captivating you could almost feel you were a part of them. The reviewers at the start must keep in mind that this book was ment to give children and young adults a view of the depression even if it is fictional. My only regret is there is no sequal to add to this wonderful story.

Rating: 1 stars
Summary: Low quality litaerary work
Review: This story was very unrealistic. The plot was not relateable to a ral-life situation and seemed like a plot thought up by a child. Furthermore, the characters were unbelieveable. I would not recommend this book because of the inadequate style of writing.
