Summary: A rifle through time.
Review: This story is an interesting book for light reading. It is enjoyable however not particularily deep. It traces a rifle's history from its manufacture to its use during the American Revolution all the way down to being a mantle piece item. Each character's brief stint in the book is satisfying. The book ends in modern time. The rifle embodies an ideal design but has a destructive power. The end holds a surprising twist.
