Rating: Summary: Good Review: Simple little story. I dont know squat about guns. I find it very hard to belive that the gun was still working. Well like I said I know nothing about guns. I would say not a bad read. It not going change lives and surely it is not an anti-gun book or what ever those NRA pukes think...

Rating: Summary: The rifle is past down from generation to generation. Review: The book The Rifle by Gary Paulson was really good. When the one guy hung the rifle in the attic he forgot about it. Rating: Summary: Review By JH Review: The book The Rifle is a excellent book. The book had my attention for the whole time I read it. Even though the book was contradictory to my belif that people kill people and not guns it was interesting to look at the other way people view the matter. The book makes as though the gun is out to make and break people similar to the ring of power in the Lord of Rings. I won't wreck the ending because I think that you should by this book and see for yourself how good it is.

Rating: Summary: The Rifle Review: The Rifle by Gary Paulsen, is about a rifle that was made in 1768. It was considered the perfect rifle. It was made by Cornish McManus, who sold it to John Byam. He turned out to be a famous sharpshooter in the American Revolution. When John Byam died in the war, the rifle was put in an attic. Then, 200 years later, it was found by Harvey Kline, undisturbed. On Christmas Eve one year, Harvey had the rifle over the fireplace. When sparks flew from the fireplace, into the gun, it went off. It went through the window and hit Richard Mestington, Harvey's neighbor. The rifle is lost again. The Rifle was a great book because it showed how a gun can be harmful.
Rating: Summary: The Rifle Review: The Rifle By: Gary PaulsonThis book is a wonderfully written novel about a pioneer rifle and it's journey. It goes through battles, fights, hunts and has many different owners. This was a great book. It was an adventurous, dramatic, and tragic book. It was also extremely entertaining. My favorite part was towards the beginning. It was when the man began the intricate and detailed process of carving, molding and building the rifle. The description of the process was very detailed and interesting. I would recommend this book to anyone between the ages of 10 and 15. Those are my choice of age groups because it isn't very hard to comprehend and it is an extremely entertaining and exciting book, but not for an adult age group. BY: GARRETT

Then the rifle is lost until the persent day. You will have to read to find out what happens. Its good for all ages and any reader. This book is also sad compelling novel.

Rating: Summary: An Action Packed Book That Will Keep You in Suspense! Review: The Rifle takes place during the Revolutionary War. A rifle goes off and murders a person, without anyone pulling the trigger. Cornish McManus is the protagonist and a rifle maker during this time. His external conflict is making this muzzle-loading rifle. The rifle becomes Cornish's legend, and it survives through centuries of time. Cornish's rifle is sold, and re-sold. During the time it has survived, no one knew that John Byan had left if loaded, from Revolutionary War times. Then the rifle comes into the hands of a man who sets it above his fireplace, and lights candles around it. He has neighbors who have two children: a boy and a girl. The gun goes off...I think this book is very good and well written. The story has a great deal of suspense and quite a bit of action. The Rifle is full of realistic and descriptive action. For example, John Byan is going to help out the battle where Washington is fighting; his group was fighting small divisions of the English army. One thing I didn't like about the book was that it was hard to follow as it went from one character to the other.
