Summary: Another great Everworld book...
Review: "Fear the Fantastic" is the sixth book in KA Applegate's Everworld saga. Following their escape from the Fairy Land and possible incineration by the Nidhoggr dragon, Christopher, David, Jalil and April find themselves in Hetwan country. Here they encounter Dionysus and Ganymede, two gods who have been condemned to death by Ka Anor. In a forest surrounded by Hetwan, their only choice is to help the gods escape and join them on their journey to Olympus. But first they must pass through the city of Ka Anor.

This was the second Everworld book I have read so far. The story is fast paced and keeps you reading right until the end. The descriptions are amazing and Christopher's narration adds plenty of humour. I think that overall I preferred my previous one, #8 Brave the Betrayal, because the descriptions of Africa were so vivid. I thought Fear the Fantastic stood on its own less well and was harder to read if you knew little of the story background and character history. The fact that the plot can be quite hard to understand when you haven't read the earlier books in the series is my only fault with this. Apart from that, this is young adult fantasy at its best. I would recommend "Fear the Fantastic" to all fans of KA Applegate and will definitely by buying more titles in this series.

Summary: VERY Cool.
Review: "Fear the Fantastic" is excellent. It was more serious than some of the other books in the series. The gang heads toward Olympus, and on the way, they meet Ganymede and Dionysus of Greek mythology, which I absolutely love. Meanwhile, in the real world, Chris finds himself involved in a dangerous secret... This one is absolutely amazing in detail and adventure.

Summary: Brilliant!
Review: Applegate hit it off with Everworld. The characters are well rounded in an ever changing realm. I love the concept of going from EverWorld to the mundane world and how Applegate includes the popular bands and trends. I also appreciate how Applegate has made April a vegetarian, since I can identify and I know that others may copy this character. The only thing I dislike, is that these books are too short. This is coming from a 21 year old law student. ~~age knows no boundaries when it comes to good tales~~

Summary: It is the best Christopher book and it has the best plot
Review: Christopher is my favortie character so of course I would would like this book but then they added some greek mythology and I was hooked. Another factor is they travel to Ka-Anor's city and see Ka-Anor eat someone and discover that Ka-Anor is fear himself. Since they first mentioned Ka-Anor in the first book I've been wanting to meet him. THis is also the first book I've been interested in the real world part of the book I won't talk about it or I might ruin it for someone. I loved this book and I reccomend it to anyone!

Summary: The Best So Far
Review: I have read everyone of the everworld books, and this is the best so far. The description of the Hetwan Land remended me of Dr.Suess. I hope Gateway to the Gods will be just as good.

Summary: Everworld
Review: I think the Everworld series is thrilling and a good read though it is not particularly good literature. I think the idea of a different universe in that context is origional but is hard to beleive. I always look forwards to a new Everworld coming up but I am not sure why.

Summary: Another Fantastic Everworld Read
Review: K.A. Applegate really hit a winning idea with the Everworld concept. She's found a way to bring the joys of sci fi and fantasy to the teenagers of America in a way they really understand and enjoy. Every one of these books is a thrilling adventure further into Everworld and the lives of those experiencing it. Tough issues most authors avoid are clearly discussed. Racism and bigotry are clearly addressed as Christopher faces his fears and discovers things he never dared face about himself before. An absolutely fantastic book. I can't wait to read the 7th in the series when it comes out in May. Thanks Ms. Applegate for giving the teens of America something reading to really enjoy.

Summary: So THIS is where K.A. Applegate has been hiding!
Review: My daughter is a big fan of the Animorphs series, but quite franky, that series has faded into a shadow of its former self. Now I know why. Applegate's energy and imagination is fully evident in the Everworld series. A treat and a brief vacation from reality for readers of ANY age group!
