Review: This book is one of Barron's best. Kate is almost an ideal heroine. Battleling the evil sorceress Nimue, fighting with Garlon, seeing Emry's 12 Treasure's, and even saving Merlin! The ideal day. I would reccomend this book to anyone who loves fantsy and/or Merlin. A deffinate 10!

Summary: This book rocks! ! ! !
Review: This book is such a masterpiece. It combines fantasy, science fiction, and a ton of elements that mix together to combine a linking between the time of Merlin and his search for the Thirteen Treasures to modern day times where a band of misfit reasearchers search for the fabled Spanish ship loaded with treasure, the Resureccion. As the scientists, helped by Geoffrey of Bardsey and hindered by villains from Merlin's past, struggle to interpret ancient ballads to find the ship, the Treasures, and the secret of the Horn of Merlin's power, which keeps things around it living, regrowing, for years on end, the suspense grows. You just can't put the book down. As they figure out the ballads and use some of Merlin's magic, they find the location of Merlin's treasures, hoarded by Merllin's most despised nemsis, a wispy enchantress known only as Nimue. My favorite characther in the book is Geoffery of Bardsey, the absent minded monk who happens to know a trick or two from Merlin's sorcery. Parts of this book are confusing, especially when it has a flashback of Merlin's time. But overall, this is some of the best fantasy I have seen in awhile. Try out this book and see if you like it.

Summary: Anybody who likes good fantasy books, should read this.
Review: This book is very detailed and exact. It is so very carefully written by T.A. Barron that you are drawn into the story, and as in real life, you can not stop (or put it down). The fantasy of this book is unmistakable, but it feels like a real story, that has happened. Everybody who either loves a very good fantasy book, a book by T.A. Barron, or just any good book should read this. I hope that everybody reads this message and gets a chance to fully enjoy the magicness of this book.

Summary: This book is just an all around awesome book! READ THIS BOOK
Review: this book was awesome! it is about the dark and light as are many books but it has two stories going on inside of it. part of the story is about how this fish seems to be immortal. that immortality is called the merlin effect. but dont be fooled and think that that is all the book is about, it is not all about a slimy old fish. the main character is a girl who is about 14.she ends up getting trapped...with who else but MERLIN!! she goes on archaeologist digs with her dad. he is an arthurian legend freak and he is trying to find the lost horn of merlin.....and all of them are in grave danger, nimue wants the horn too........

Summary: I really loved reading this book; I didn't want it to end.
Review: This book was awsome! I only read it once, but I've deemed it one of my favorites. It's been two years since I've read it because I can never find it anywhere. I loved how the book made me imagine the places and sights and smells...it was beautiful!

Summary: ...
Review: This book wasn't that good... It was all this and that abouttheories, the difference between eternal life and renewaling bodies.Okay I'll be nice, I'll point out the parts I LIKE. The only parts I liked was the time she turned into a water spirit and there was things like: I am stream, swift and stong...blah blah blah. I forgot the rest but I just so happen to like descriptive writing and so I read it over and over again even if I don't remember much. I also liked the ballad: An ancient ship, the pride of Spain, Embarked upon a quest. To navigate the ocean vast, and still survive the test. Sorry, I forgot the rest. Except for the prophesy, did you notice the author has a tendency to have prophecies in his books? Anyways: One day the sun will fail to rise, The dead will die, And then, for Merlin's horn to find it's home, the ship will sail again. The other thing I like about the book was the chapter: The thirteenth treasure. It is really nice and Nimue sounds so wicked. I feel for Emyrs, it really was too bad. After you read this book, which treasure would you want to have? I'll tell you what I would say. The knife that could heal any wound. It would be pretty useful. I'm not saying it would be useful because I get beat up often. Come off it! I'm a girl! I'm just saying it would be nice to help other people. Not that I'm very saintly. Well, I really have to go. See ya! Oops, I won't. Whatever.

Summary: The Merlin Effect
Review: This is a story about a young girl, Kate Gordon, who is somewhat of an adventurer. She loves to explore unfamiliar places, and do unfamiliar things. In this book, her father is trying to discover what happened to an ancient vessel, which sunk long ago, by a timeless whirlpool. As the story unfolds, Kate finds that Merlin and his horn are somehow connected to this ship. This book is an epic story and a brilliant tale of Merlin.
