Review: This book was the worst Ann Rinaldi book I have read. She usually is such a good writer, but this book was far below her usual standards. I was very disappointed by this book and was even more disappointed when I sat down and thought about what I had just read.

Review: This was a terrific book that gave a great (fictionalized) first hand account of life during the civil war. I couldn't put it down. Easy read, engaging characters, unforgettable setting!
