Rating: Summary: Beyond Comparison Review: The China Garden is one of the finest books I have ever read. It has a little bit of everything in it. I never got bored reading it!!!! I wish Ravensmere was a real place because Liz Berry made it sound so beautiful. I have read this book five times before I decided I should buy it and you should too it is great!!!!!
Rating: Summary: A Beautiful Book Review: This book was amazing -- I couldn't put it down. Clare is a memorable heroine. Despite her psychic abilities, she is definitely human. The descriptions of the English estate where she and her mother stays are incredible, the place sounds beautiful and I wish Ravensmere actually existed so I could go there! This book has the perfect blend of suspense, mystery, tension, romance, and a very rich history.
Rating: Summary: A good book Review: I really liked this book. It was imaginative and romantic. The storyline was interesting. Clare and her boyfriend have sex, but it is not too graphic; however, I think that her boyfriend should not have pressured her to do it, and I think they not using protection sets a bad example.
Rating: Summary: A Fantasy story with love, romance, suspence.. EVERYTHING! Review: Overall, I thought this was a great book. At first I was assigned to read it by my English teacher because we have to write a book report about a fiction novel. But after a couple days of reading this, I found I was enjoying it!!!THis story is clever and creative. I couldn't put it down!!! It has romance, adventure, suspence and horror.. and a mystery. Check it out!
Rating: Summary: 16 year old girl Review: This was required reading for a club i was in. By looking at the cover i thought it was going to be some lame sappy teenager story, about a relationship. Boy was I off! yes it involves a relationship but in no way is it lame! I read it in one night-it was that good! If I could list all the things i would like in one book, I would be the China Garden. It takes place in England, involves mystery, love, and psychic abilities-my personal favorite topics! I'm a devout fan of Mercedes Lackey and Marion Zimmer Bradley- if you like their Fantasy books, you'll like this book!!!
Rating: Summary: ~I Adore this Book!!~ Review: This is really one of the most fantastic books for teenagers that has ever been written in my opinion. It's eery, scary, fascinating, romantic, gripping, touching and completly unique. Nothing I have ever read has come close to how this book made me feel. BUY IT!!
Rating: Summary: Brilliant Review: I have read and re-read this book, and I am still in love with it! Th story is just one that once you have started, you just can't bear to put down.
Rating: Summary: A suspenseful book of romance and mystery Review: The book The China Garden by Liz Berry was one of the most interesting books I've ever read. The suspence in it made it so I couldn't put it down. I wanted to keep on reading. This book reveals the secrets of a girl who thought she knew her past, but discovers the truth. The decisions the characters encounter and the ways they go about solving them help me solve my own problems. The couragousness reminded me of how I want to be. The will to keep on going and never give up helped to give me the will power to keep on going for things I want to achieve. In this book a girl falls in love and learns the choices that you have to make.
Rating: Summary: This book is one in a million! Review: I think this book is amazing! This book made me feel as if I was standing behind the characters watching the scenes unfold. The characters are realistic and lovable, and while some concepts are unrealistic the writer presents them so they seem possible. I have read this book over and over until the pages are nearly falling out. For anyone who likes fiction\fantasy with a twist of romance I would definetly read this book
Rating: Summary: Good start, disappointing end Review: The book starts off well, with an interesting premise and a believable heroine. I found the second half a bit disappointing, though, because it became predictably preachy and politically correct. The older generations are ruining the world, women have a different way of thinking, women are more in touch with nature, etc. A much better book with a great teenage heroine is "The Perilous Gard" by Catherine Marie Pope.
