Rating: Summary: Wonderfully Witchy Reading!!! Review: I picked up this book at a bookstore out of town while I was on a business trip, finished it in one night and drove to both of the malls the town had looking for the next two. The parallels to the ancient Goddesses, the love between Cassie and Adam and the Craft history were excellent (even at 30, this author is great). Ms. Smith is a very talented author and I have read all of her other books that I am able to find. As a wannabe "young adult" author who wants to write about the same sort of material, I give her many kudos for paving the way. I reccommend this to all who love her books but haven't read this series, yet. If they are hard to find, try anyway, because they are well worth the wait! I welcome all who wish to talk about this author, her works, anything of a withcy nature, or anything at all to e-mail me at the above e-mail address. Blessed Be!
Rating: Summary: L.J. Has Really outdone herself this time! Review: L.J. has alwayz been my favorite author and even though I have read her entire Night World series, (trust me those are great!!), this book was deffinately superior. Cassie being new and her dangerous love for Diana's (the coven leader) boyfriend Adam get her into hot water with quite a few people. Adam and Cassie have a bond between them that they have to fight, the soulmate principal takes effect here. I wish I could get my hands on the other two books to find what happens between this triangle of love, deceit, and power.
Rating: Summary: This is a great book! Review: I have read and re-read this book and it is one of the greatest books in a series that I have read...ever! I am madly searching for a copy of the third book, the power, and if anyone has one that they could sell to me, email me!! The way that L.J. Smith writes amazes me, because when I am reading it, I feel like I am there, and all the ation is going on around me!! THIS BOOK IS SO GREAT!! Shavonne
Rating: Summary: ADAM AND CASSIE FOREVER!!! I LOVE IT SO... Review: When I started reading the other reviews of the magnificant SECRET CIRCLE, I started to feel so alive again, knowing I wasn't alone in love with this book. I relived every steps and doors from the powerful, yet bittersweet story.... I could feel what Cassie felt with the struggle of righteous and wrong doings of Faye's, her one-time enemy. And especially her unique love for Adam and Diana. Somehow, as I read the mesmerizing book, I felt a connection between me, Cassie, Adam, Diana and the all-time sweet Nick... It was like I was with her, discovering her newfound power, strength, desire, and love. L.J. Smith has opened my world to a whole different place with witches, incantation, lores, religion, fidelity, and, of course, a love for herbs. This book is the greatest and will always be my favorites.
Rating: Summary: You so must read these books!!! Review: The Secret Circle books are probably some of the best books I have read in my entire life. I was completely swept into the story of the coven of witches and their conflicts with each other an the outside world. The characters were so wonderfully deep; they changed and grew stronger through their troubles, but nothing they did was at all unrealistic. In the beginning, Cassie Blake moved to the town of New Salem where she soon discovered that she was a witch. She joined a coven of witches at a time when they are having life-threatening problems. Throughout the course of all three books (because they really cannot be distinguished from one another), Cassie encountered many obstacles, but she managed to find a strength she never knew she had in order to overcome them. Cassie's struggles could make anyone feel strong and brave and beautiful.
Rating: Summary: Action packed story with horror, love, and witchcraft! Review: I absolutely loved this story! When I first saw the cover, I hesitated. I didn't know how this story would turn out. I'm so glad I read it! I was thrown into Cassie's world from the beginning and got to see her find out she's a witch with powers and becomes a member of the Secret Circle. I loved the romance between Cassie and Adam! The way Ms. Smith described their passion for each other was wonderful! I loved the conflict with Cassie and Faye - and their struggle to win the fight of good over evil. Good thing I bought all 3 books together, as soon as I finished the 1st one, I picked up the 2nd one right away and was not dissappointed. Its a worldwind of love, mystery and magic! Don't miss out on a great trilogy!!
Rating: Summary: An excellent tale of the struggle of good versus evil!!! Review: L.J. Smith creates a true-to-life tale of Cassie, the shy girl, who finds herself drawn into the world of witchcraft in New Salem. Cassie struggles with herself and her love for Adam, the Circle leader's boyfriend, Faye, the evil girl who will stop at nothing to rule the Circle, and the outside force that threatens to destroy them all. Can she survive? Will she resist the wildfire attraction she feels for Adam? Will the Circle beat the evil force that wants to destroy it or will the coven be destroyed forever?
Rating:  Summary: NICK!!! Review: Oh why oh why did Cassie have to get with Adam at the end? BRILLIANT BOOKS but I REALLY REALLY REALLY thought that Nick and Cass should've ended up together...he's a hell of a lot sexier than Adam! ;
Rating: Summary: The one book you need to read! Review: If you were allowed to read only one book from the "young adult" section this would be the one. The most exclusive group in high school is the Secret Circle. In order to be a part of that group you need to be a witch. Meet Cassie, Diana, and the other members of the circle and be a part of their adventures. Be careful, this book is pure "witchery" for it will never let you put it down until the last word. Even then you'll find yourself picking it up to read over and over again.
Rating: Summary: Secret Circle 1 was great! Review: This book really modernized witchcraft for kids of today. The witch lore was accurate as far as I can remember, and the idea of making the girls parallels of old goddesses was a stroke of genious on Ms. Smith's part. A really great book whether you're into magic or just want to read some horror-meets-romance. --Stormdanc
