Summary: Raving about LJ Smith...
Review: I found the Vampire Diaries vol 4, Dark Reunion, in a used bookstore when I was ten. I loved it, lost it, and have been searching ever since for the Vampire Diaries. 5 years on, I snapped and sent my mother out to every bookstore in the country with a little pre-exam blackmail. She came shivering home with LJ Smith's Night World 1, Secret Vampire ('Look honey, it's the right author, and it's about vampires'). I yelled, read it, rushed out to buy all 9 other Night World books, then found the Forbidden Game, then ordered the Vampire Diaries on Amazon, then ordered Dark Visons and vol 1 of the Secret Circle on Amazon. They are all amazing. In the Secret Circle I love Cassie - she has colouring like mine, and she's subdued pretty, not wow pretty, like I always pretend I am, and she's so sweet! I felt so bad for her when she was being bullied by the evil witches! And I totally LOVE Nick already - one of her classic 'bad' guys. I so see how he fell for Cassie and had to protect her... but I know she's going to end up with annoying Adam. Still, READ THIS BOOK! And someone for the love of God tell me where I can get the other books. Are they being rereleased? When? Any price will be paid!!!

Summary: Fantastic!
Review: I owned the Secret Circle Trilogy over seven years ago, and it is some of the best books I've ever read. I currently have the original first volume only since someone "borrowed" the other two a long time ago and never returned them. She probably loved the books so much she didn't want to give them up! I am seriously anticipating the reprinting of the trilogy so I can finally own and read all three volumes once again. If you haven't had the opportunity to read these books, please find the chance when they are re-released.They are wonderful!

Summary: Absolutely enticing!!!
Review: I have read this whole series over and over again, it is impossible to put down. Her style of writing makes you get right into the story, you feel you're a part of it. I love Cassie's character and how she develops throughout the series. I never read books made for adolescents even when i was one, now I'm 19 and I still can not stop reading her books. Fabulous writer, and I can hardly wait for her to come out with something new!!!!

Summary: I am soooo HAPPY !!!
Review: Hey, I am soooo happy. The whole series is being reprinted! I just got number 1 in the mail this morning. I am already done with it. L.J. Smith is just about the best author. Being a follower of the craft myself, I must say the stuff in her books are pretty true

Summary: All-around Excellence
Review: I first bought and read this book when it was originally released. As soon as the next 2 books in the trilogy came out, I bought and read them as well, and enjoyed them immensly, and have continued to read them off and on for the past 5 years or so. What I mean by all-around excellence is that L.J. doesn't seem to falter in any way in her story-telling. Her portrayal of the characters--the depth she goes into (and as someone mentioned, the parallel of the goddesses she uses)--truly let you absorb yourself into EVERY character, even the smaller ones, so that you are completely mesmorized by the book. Also, the way that L.J. uses subtle foreshadowing (i.e., Sean's belt, which becomes an important factor later in the trilogy) is amazing; not a single thing she mentions in the book is not written without a good reason, and that really helps tie in the whole series into one complete story. Finally, I not only enjoyed the plot of the book, but the lessons that I read between the lines--such as Cassie overcoming her own fears (with grandmother's advice of nothing to fear in the dark once you face it), as well as the insight into how all the other characters are struggling with their own problems (for example, Faye's grip on half of the Circle that hinders everyone); I really think the way the characters overcome these struggles--especially through sticking to what they believe is right, and not succumbing to other's opinions that may be an easy-way-out--are important things for growing teens to read about. I have read all of L.J.'s books (with the exceptance of her first 2 before the Vampire Diaries), and this trilogy has always been my favorite. I'm glad she is re-printing it so that other teens have the chance to enjoy the excellent writing that I did. Kudos to L.J. and Harper Publishers!

Summary: This is the best book I've ever read.
Review: I am an avid book-reader, and I have read this book 4 times since 1992. I have tried to no avail to find the sequels to this book but I cannot. If anyone knows where I might be able to locate the others, please contact me at MeKissesU@hotmail.com Stephanie. PS. Does anyone know if the publisher might do a reprint??

Summary: Awesome
Review: This was the first L.J. Smith book I read, and suffice to say, I got hopelessly addicted. I too had trouble finding the last two, and I had to go all the way to another state to get them, but it was worth it. These books are captivating and I have read them all at least five times each. Thank you, L.J. Smith, for writing such work. It is excellent.
