Rating: Summary: Morgan and Alisa Join Forces Review: Morgan is back and so is Alisa. For those who don't remember, Alisa is the girl who is scared by Morgan because strange telekinetic things happen when they are together and she feels Morgan is unable to control her power. One day, at practical magic, Morgan picks up a Book Of Shadows from the seventies. This is actually on we have seen excerpts from in a previous book. But when Alisa is visiting Mary K. (Morgans younger sister), she steals the book. The book winds up revealing things about Alisa's family and just who Alisa is. As Alisa begins to deal with her situation, she gets caught up with Morgan, Hunter and Hunter's father as a new and serious danger threatens them and much of Widow's Vale. The story switches back and forth from Morgan's point of view to Alisa's. There are no excerpts starting each chapter, but there are some interesting quotes. A good book that seems to really move the series towards a conclusion. On a side note, does anyone else thing the town should change its name to Widowers Vale? Morgan, Alisa and Hunter are all missing mothers. Plenty of widowers and no widows.

Rating: Summary: from a uk fan Review: over here in the uk sweep is called WICCA. i am a wiican and 14 and im a beginner and i do like these books. it is fantasy wicca but it is buult over fact. if u want real wicca after u have read these books check out silver ravenwolf, starhawk, dorothy morisson etc. These books are great 2 read even if ure not wiccan they are action packed. this book in particular is probably one of the best and at the time of writing this is the latest one published in the UK but i know the other 2 plus super edition will be even better.
Rating: Summary: THE UN-HUMOROUS REVIEW OF SWEEP #12 BY CATE TIERNAN Review: So this book, eclipse, is really good! It shares the point of view with Morgan who is ususally the narrator, and Alisa, who you haven't heard from. Alisa's relationship with Morgan is that she is Morgan's little sister Mary K.'s best friend (getting a little Jerry Springer...) anyhow, Alisa is a blood witch. Mordan's killer father, Ciaran McEwan is trying to destroy Widows Vale with the *ominous music* DARK WAVE! Morgan finds Ciaran and her boyfriend, Hunter, stripps his magick. But the dark Wave is still coming! Will they be able to stop it in time? *FORESHADOWING*
Rating: Summary: Sweep 12: Eclipse! Review: This book is from both Morgan and Alisa's point of view. During a circle one night Morgan gets a message from Ciaran telling her he knows she put the watch sigil on him, he's not mad, and he's on his way to Widow's Vale. Morgan feels ready to crash She doesn't need this. She's still upset about Rose McEwan and at Hunter. On top of that Mr. Niall dislikes and distrusts Morgan because of her heritage. Then Ciaran shows up and asks Morgan to join him. When she refuses he tells her that her loved ones will pay for her decision. Morgan knows this means a dark wave and she's dead set on stopping it at all costs. Alisa thinks she's just a normal girl until one day at the Rowlands she finds a book in Morgan's backpack that she is irresistabley drawn to. It turns out to be a BOS. While reading it Alisa discovers that the book belonged to her mother, which means Alisa is a half-witch. Also Alisa realizes she was the one causing all the "accidents" in Strife. Alisa can feel that something is up with Morgan, Hunter, and Mr. Niall, and she's willing to help them. This book was sooo good. I was so proud of what Morgan did in regards to Ciaran. In this you start to like Alisa a little more.
Rating: Summary: Very Good Review: This book is one of my favourites out the whole series. Unlike alot of readers, I really like Alisa - I think she adds a strange kind of innocence to the books that instead of being annoying is quite good - it adds some light for a change. Even though the way in which she finds out about being a half witch is very repeative and simliar (and a bit cheesy) to how Morgan found out she was an adopted blood witch, i still liked it because like I said, I like Alisa and the innocence and light she adds to the story. I think it was a very good idea to have Alisa save the day rather than Morgan for a change. I think that it was a good idea of Cate Tiernan's to have the spotlight shared by two characters because she has avoided the irritating predictable problem some books suffer from where there is always one heroic character who saves the day every time. This time, it is alot more varied.
Rating: Summary: A very great book! Review: This book really helps people undersyand as to why there were accidents in Strife. It is told from Morgan and Alisa's perspective. This book is the third to last of the series though. Book 14, Full Circle is the last one to be written and things may change for people's relationship's. The next book,Reckoning, will be entirely told by Alisa when she tries to find her mother's family and the final one, Full Circle will be Hunter and Morgan's relationship and Hunter might not be a Seeker anymore.
Rating: Summary: Great Book but Sorry to say.... Review: This book was fantastic, then again every book in the series is. There has been news about the continuation of the series, and I'm sorry to say that after Book 14 (Full Circle) it will end. Tiernan said that all of Morgans issues will be resolved before it ends. Im sure Tiernan will end this series with a BANG!
Rating: Summary: Accomplished Excellence Review: This installment of the Sweep series was FULL of action compared to some books that weren't so thrilling, but still kept me reading. It's such a shame that the series is ending; you could really tell from this book. It was all very rushed. We all know the action in this book could have been drawn out into multiple books! But, the series must end. When I first glanced over the book before reading, I didn't think I would enjoy Alisa's(who seems to become more mature about magick here) point-of-view as much as I did! Too bad Alisa wasn't as much in the series until now!(Yes, even though Hunter is still the best character in my opinion.) Sadly and anxiously I await no. 13!
