Rating: Summary: BEST FILM IVE EVER SEEN Review: Believe it or not, this is the best film I have ever seen. Only true stories can give you that sense of reality, and vividness, which this film gave me. I am a man, and I cried in the cinema. Men don't often do that. This film changed my life, and gave me a new perspective (especially as I have family problems myself). The story is touching, moving, and something that will profoundly change your life. There is no question about it, you have to see this film.

Rating: Summary: The Truth about a time for dancing Review: A time for dancing was definitly on my top books list. It captured the reality of a teenage life...with some out of the ordinary (but somewhat common) teenage problems. It took you through a bumpy ride of a young girls battle with cancer-and the end may leave u in tears of joy.
Rating: Summary: sequel! Review: ...The sequel, which is tentatively set for release...is called "The Farther You Run". There was also a movie produced based on the book, but at this time has no plans to be released in theatres or on video. But keep your eyes open!...
Rating: Summary: Hurwin is a genious Review: I picked up this book at the library a few years ago, and I was hooked after only a few pages. Now, I have my own copy and have read it over a dozen times. This novel is about two high-school seniors, Samantha and Juliana (Sam and Jules). Their future holds great plans for college and dancing, but when Julie is diagnosed with cancer, their world is shattered. Both girls' lives change for the worse as they try to cope with all that Julie goes through. Hurwin is an excellent writer, and I cry every time I read the ending. The characters are so well-formed that I often must remind myself that they are only fictional. As I am a junior in high school, I can relate to almost every scene. I recommend this book for anyone in grades 6-12 looking for an awesome read to remember.
Rating: Summary: One of my favourite books Review: A Time for Dancing is one of my absolute favourite books. It moves me to tears every time I read it, so have your tissues ready. The tragic effects of cancer on a young life, the effects it has on her friends and family, and the power of dance are all discussed beautifully in this book. The power of friendship is a major theme, along with the future, death, dreams, relationships and family. Dancers will especially enjoy this book, as it shows the passion that we feel for dance, and the amotional and expressive power of dance. Non dancers will enjoy the story. I would recommend this book to girls aged 13+, it is a fantastic and compelling read.
Rating: Summary: Realistic Teen Topic Review: A Time for Dancing by Davida Wills Hurwin is by far one of the best books that I have ever read. The author decides to use cancer as a setback in two girls friendship. Since cancer is a very rough subject, it makes the book very emotional. So be ready to cry. A part of the book that I thought was very good was when Julie woke up one morning and found that her hair was all out. She had just gone through chemotherapy to help treat the cancer, so she was beginning to see the side effects. I thought this scene was so real because all she did was cry and cry because she no longer had a full head of hair. I also liked it when Julie (who had been going through chemo for about 5 months now) went back to dance class. She loved to dance and she finally gathered up enough strength to dance again. Julie shows so much dedication and strength. This book shows so many tough issues that many of us don't have to go through. Davida Hurwin did a great job writing A Time for Dancing.
Rating: Summary: its a must read!!!!! Review: this book was an excelent book for young teens, young adults, and even adults. it shows the values in life, and how important people are to every human. i thoroughly enjoyed reading this book in 8th grade, but also many other times over!!!
Rating: Summary: totallytearjerker Review: This is an exceptional book. The charaters come to life to play the parts as well as if it were a true story. Watch as Sam and Julie learn to except things the way they are, and to love each day with every hope for the next. This story will bring tears to your eyes, and remind you of what it really means to love somebody.
Rating: Summary: A 4-Star Book Review: I'm giving "A Time For Dancing" four stars, and this is because there are things in the book I don't agree with. For example, I don't agree that after we die, we come back as another being. I believe in Heaven and Hell. I also don't agree that people of the same sex should kiss on the lips (on the cheek is fine with me). Other than that, I thought this was a great book, and I recommend it for high-school ages (grades 9-12).
