Rating: Summary: A teenage teer-jerker about true friendship. Review: This is a teenage teer-jerker about true friendship that all ages will adore. This book will make you think how blessed you are to have true friends. Without a doubt this is the best book I have ever read within its genre.
Rating: Summary: This book paints a picture of personal contemporary realism. Review: This well written story of friendship encompasses many real-life situations. Divorced families, life after death, choices for post-graduation and friendship. None of these compares to facing a terminal illness. Using the two points of view of "Sam" and "Jules", the writer creates an incredible story of a solitary journey to an inevitable end. Having faced cancer through my sister's diagnosis, I could relate to the true-to-life circumstances of the book. Reading about this very tactfully displayed advanced topic was like therapy for me. What a blow of reality!

Rating: Summary: The best book I've read that can't help but touch your heart Review: The story of Sam and Jules, and their shared struggles through Jules' cancer, really touches the heart. The novel was written in a way that you can feel their hardships, feel Jules' pain, and can't help seeing Sam's frustration. This was the best book about friendships, even until the end.
Rating: Summary: This is an outstanding book that I really enjoyed. Review: I am thirteen. I read this book last year for the first time, but I continue to pick it up at least once a month because I find it so meaningful. Sam and Jules have a bond between them that is unlike anything else. As Jules cancer weakens her body and soul, the friend ship detriorates as well. The ending is very emotional, and I cried for a long time after reading it because Davida Hurwin expresses Sam's and Jule's emotions so well. It is a beautiful book...very well written. I am anxiously waiting the promised sequel. Although, there is a good amount of swearing in the book, it is still extremely worthwhile to read. I am so grateful Davida Hurwin wrote this book because it makes everyone who reads it stronger and more informed about the disturbing effects of cancer.
