Rating: Summary: Dark Secrets #4 Review: All books are located in the same place, and this story is definatly the longest by far! It's prolonged a little too much; there wasn't anything she said in 350 pages that she could have said in 200. This one was definatly my least favorite out of the five (fifth I have yet to read). It starts kind quick and ends really slow. There was sick family love in the end... and I finished it actually happy it was over with.
Rating: Summary: Deep love for Chandler's books Review: I have read all the Dark Secrets books. I really love them. But I a little problem with them. They all end the same. And there is always a person you like in the beginning that is all sweet and nice then you learn that they are horrible and cruel people. It just makes me sad that every time I read these books I know that someone I think is good is going end up someone I am going to end up hating. But that is what makes it so good. You never know what is going to happen. You have to keep on guessing. But let me tell you about Deep End of Fear.
When Kate was a young girl she lived on the Westbrook estate with her mom and dad. There she would play with Ashley Westbrook. Ashley would dare Kate to do dangerous things, like jump on a diving board when the pool was frozen. But when Ashley died Kate and her parents left. Kate never knew why. But she believed that something that night when she left had something to do with why her mother left her and her father.
That has twelve years ago, now Kate is seventeen years old, and is back on the steps of the Westbrook's house. Her father is dead, leaving her alone by herself. Her father wanted her to do something after his death, to bring back a ring. Kate doesn't know why or how her farther got the ring. But Kate is determined to bring back the ring, and when the housekeeper refuse to let Kate in she applies for the Tutoring job, not really wanting the job, but just a way for her to get inside. There she meets Patrick, the son of Adrian Westbrook. Patrick is like any rich kid, spoiled. But there is something uncanny about Patrick. He says that he knows Ashley that he talks to her. That Ashley dares him just as Ashley would dare Kate. Kate doesn't know what is going on but wants to find out, so she decides to become Patrick's tutor. Kate realizes that Patrick knows to much about Ashley, that he sees her by the frozen pond, where Ashley died. And then a cat comes alone. The same cat that looked like the cat that Ashley had as a pet.
She soon meets Sam a hockey player. Kate and Sam will soon find out the secret that lies beneath the wall of the Westbrook estate, as Patrick grows deeper into danger.
All in all I really liked the book. I liked the characters. Kate is very strong and Sam is a great leading guy. Patrick can be kind of annoying at times. But I really love this book. So read Deep End of Fear and Legacy of Lies the first one.
Rating: Summary: A Good book =) Review: I love the Dark Secrets series. Elizabeth Chandler is a wonderful author, who can spin a great thriller and love story. Chandlers Dark Secrets series, has many thrills and chills to it... there is suspense page after page. Her female/male characters are always likeable. The Deep End of Fear is good, but not the best out of the series in my opinion. It's thicker then the other 3 books, which is great since I don't like it when a good story comes close to an end. I'm not going to waste my time typing up a summary for this book since I already noticed some awesome summaries that are already up. Check out Chandler's books that are in the Love Stories series: #12 Hot Summer Nights #32 At First Sight(I love this one!) #35 I Do and her Kissed By An Angel trilogy =)
Rating: Summary: Another Awesome Mystery! Review: In the 4th Dark Secrets Novel, we go back to Wisteria, Maryland; this time to the huge Westbrook Estate. 12 years earlier, Kate Vernelli left the estate on a snowy, stormy night, just days after her playmate Ashley's death. Her mother was Ashley's nanny. Now Kate is back, hoping to return an item that her artist father requested she return to Adrian, the owner of the estate. To get inside, she becomes tutor/nanny to 7 year old Patrick, Adrian's youngest son. Kate soon realizes that Patrick's relatives are backstabbing, cruel people, and may be out to hurt Pat. But Patrick begins to talk about his new friend, Ashley, who just happens to have the same characteristics as the Ashley Kate knew 12 years ago. This book is so perfect, and out of the other 3 in the series, I liked this one best. READ THIS NOVEL!! It is a perfect mystery for any teen!
Rating: Summary: Slepping Ghoast awake! Review: Take it from someone who has read all of the Dark Secrets books. This is one of the best. Thicker than most of them, it has a great twist that you would never believe! Of course the handsome boy is in the story, along with the faitful old town of Wistera. This time a girl had lived there when she was 5 yrs. till a friend was drowned. She left in the middle of the night not knowing why. Returning from England to return something to the owner of the house she gets sucked into a job, along with family issuses. When her job starts to dig up old memeries, along with some of hers, things get scary. Great book for anyone who likes mistery, not as much Romance in this one though. Hope you enjoy the book!
Rating: Summary: This book was GREAT! Review: This book was awesome, I really enjoyed it. Elizabeth Chandler's other Dark Secrets books are also really good. If you liked her other Dark Secrets books you will definately like this one. I reccomend it to anyone who is looking to read a thriller with a romance to it. This book will keep you guessing the whole time. ;-)
Rating: Summary: Amazing as always Review: Well i have read all of the Dark Secrets books. Starting with No Time To Die, then Don't Tell, Legacy of Lies and now Deep End of Fear. The Deep End of Fear was much better then Don't tell and Legay of Lies and just as good as Don't Tell. Katie and her parents are fleeing from the Westbrook estate shortly after the death of seven yr old Ashley. But why? WHy did the car swerve suddenly, what was her daddy sorry for? Twelve yrs later her father dies of cancer and she is left to fulfill his wishes. One of which is to return to WestBrook Estate and return a ring that was for some reason in her house. Kate takes on the role as a tutor for Adrains(Mr. Westbrook) son, Patrick. Everything in the estate is just as Kate remembers it. Suddenly Patrick begins speaking ofa girl named Ashley who dares him to do things, dangerous things. Things that a girl named Ashley, dead of twelve yrs, dared her to do. Kate meets up with old freinds and finds a new intrest in a yound hockey player named Sam. Adrian's heirs are not happy about her being their seeing as she was around when Ashley died. All the members make this very obvious. As well as everyone telling her she can not trust every person she is beginning to. She is left with Patrick and maybe Sam to really turn to. Suddenly Patrick will not go near her. Calling her rude names and abandoning her in rough times. Kate is thrown into a deadly game of Cat and Mouse with her as the mouse and the cat throwing clues from the past in. What were her parents talking about twelve years ago? Did AShley really die? Well I'm certainly not going to spoil the ending. Read the book!
