Rating: Summary: Great book Review: Teen Angst? Naah... was one of the best books i ever read. As soon as i started reading it i couldn't put it down. I could relate my life to his life because its about his teenage life. It was one of the funniest books i ever read. He talks about his life from when he was a kid to high school. This is a must read and u should go out and read it.
Rating: Summary: HILARIOUS!! Review: the great thing about this book is that the guy writing it is so close to the teenage age (one year older than me as I'm writing this review) that it feels vibrant. makes me want to write about my own misadventures
Rating: Summary: found myself reading about myself Review: the great thing about this book is that the guy writing it is so close to the teenage age (one year older than me as I'm writing this review) that it feels vibrant. makes me want to write about my own misadventures
Rating: Summary: Funny and Relatable Review: This book was witty, relatable, and well written. Reading Ned's stories is like reading about the kids in your school- and if you're out of school already I bet you remember kids like him (maybe it was you?). The characters jump off the pages and you will find yourself smirking in every chapter. Since the stories are at least partially real (quasi autobiography) none of the characters get overly steriotyped which makes it all the more believable. I hope he writes a book about his college experiences.

Rating: Summary: Angst has never been so bright! Review: This is by far one of the most entertaining books I have read in years. I could not put it down. It was easy to read, easy to follow and full of good laughs (most at Ned's expense!). I always admire someone who doesn't take himself too seriously but still gets the job done and that is exactly what Ned Vizzini does. Ned Vizzini's writing style is fluid, his sense of humor wry and his life experiences full of lessons for us all. I bet you'll relate to more than one of Ned's dilemmas, and smile as you do. In one night I relived my own high school years and realized I had it pretty good. I can't wait to see what Ned writes about college life!
Rating: Summary: Don't let the name decieve you... Review: Though the name sounds like a book adults write to "enlighten" teenagers on how to get through these hard years, it isn't. It is written by and adult...who doesn't try to force his own values upon you, the book simply makes being a teenager easier to laugh at, as similar expieriences may have happened to the reader. The cover isn't just a design trying to be "clever" as most non-fiction books about being a teenager are, it actually (once you read a certain story) is about as funny as the book itself! I took this book to summer camp with me a last year , and all of my friends started pearing over my shoulder when I was reading it, especially one friend, she read some of the stories and loved it! Ned Vizzini is a talented writer, who could be come rich and famous, not by writing fake high-school melodramas...but by writing the funny true high school melodramas that people have a chance of going through!

Rating: Summary: Reminds me of a Dave Barry-type writer Review: To tell you the truth, the only reason I picked up Ned Vizzini's book, "Teen Angst? Naah" was because it was free and I didn't have anything else to do at the Book Expo. However, as soon as I started reading it, I couldn't put it down. Being a teenager myself, I could relate to Ned's problems with members of the opposite sex, parents, and school. I mean, we've all had embarrassing moments -- but I don't think any of us could put them into words as well as Ned Vizzini does in this book.
