Rating: Summary: This should be standard high-school text Review: This is the book that we all wish we'd had in high school. It gives you all the information of your standard sex ed book, while injecting it with the humour we not only know from Adam & Dr. Drew's radio show, but the humour that we need to digest the often-delicate subject matter of life and love in the 90's.
Rating: Summary: Great information in a funny format Review: My friend got me this book for my 15th birthday. It's really funny, just like the radio show. Everyone should have this information available. I've learned how to put on a condom, how to tell if I might be a lesbian, and who should not be having sex. THis is an important book for everyone in my generation.
Rating: Summary: AN INTROSPECTIVE VIEW FOR THE "OTHER HALF" Review: I FOUND THIS TO BE A REALLY INFORMATIVE AND INGENIUS PIECE OF LITERATURE. I THOROUGHLY ENJOYED READING AND LEARNING FROM IT....THANK YOU DR. DREW AND ADAM!!!!!!
Rating: Summary: This book is SOLID!!! Review: Every person who needs help or entertainment should get this one-of-a-kind book!I highly recomend this for"LOVELINE" fans or to those who are not yet fans.Buy this! It's worth it!
Rating: Summary: A VERY realistic veiw on life Review: One of the few, if only realistic veiws on life and love...and other subjects. A very honest look on the troubles of growing up, and a pleasant mix of intelligence and humor. Some people would stigmitize Adam Carrola as being only the comic relief, but he too really knows his stuff and has the best analogies! Adam is brutally honest, and that is what this country needs. Someone to stand up and say what everyone is thinking and not be affraid of coming off politically incorrect. And Dr.Drew is one of the few doctors I would trust in the entertainment buisness....not only does he spend a great deal of his time helping out people with both the Loveline tv, and radio show...but he also is a practicing doctor, who really seems to care! This book is a MUST buy and hope to more publishings from these two!!! It's nice two people face reality for once!
Rating: Summary: Common sense from two "real" guys who have heard it all... Review: I listen to Dr. Drew and Adam's radio show all the time. Every now and then, as they are dealing with a caller's problem, they make a point or impart some common sense that makes me think, "YES! They're exactly right. I wish EVERYBODY could have heard that last piece of advice!" The Dr. Drew and Adam Book is a comprehensive collection of all those priceless nuggets of advice that I wish EVERYBODY could hear. Therefore, I think EVERYBODY should buy this book. It's content is served up in the "Complete Idiot's Guide To..." style, so even a fourteen year old with Attention-Deficit Disorder won't be able to put it down. There's lots of interesting sidebars, input from celebrities who have been guests on their show, etc. This book is like Men Are From Mars, Women Are From Venus... only it's funnier, shorter, more practical, more hip, is about more than just relationships, and just better. The government should buy this book by the millions and make it required reading for all high school freshmen. Adults (especially parents) will love it, too. And it's cheap!
Rating: Summary: Adam and Drew pack an iron fist in a velvet glove. Review: In the age of misinformation, this is one of the few books on relationships that will not delude you. Adam and Drew gently smash the illusions we all have of the opposite sex without utterly breaking our hearts, which is quite a testament to them. Their advice, while entertaining, is also substantive and responsible. Those who are fans of the radio show will find more of the same in the book, which is not to knock it. The MTV fans will find a Drew with a sense of humor and an Adam with some depth of soul. (We radio listeners already knew this.) We could all have used a dose of cold water reality when we were sixteen. I have given this book to my confused, 17-year-old cousin. There is no higher recommendation than that.
