Summary: True and (therefore) politically incorrect
Review: The book is only a shadow of the radio show, but it's still great.
The "Editorial Review" by Brangien Davis, above, is embarrassing. Unless Beavis, Butthead, or Andrew Dice Clay have some hidden medical degrees, the only thing they have in common with Adam and Drew is being politically incorrect. If political correctness is your first priority, you'll hate this book. But if you want the truth, there's a lot of it here.

Summary: Helpful and insightful but not up to "Loveline" standards
Review: This book contains excellent information in an easy-to-read, easy-to-understand format and it's a definite must read for anyone interested in finding out what makes people tick. However, for those of you who are fans of "Loveline" and are hoping for the same kind of chemistry in written form, you're apt to be disappointed. The humor is there, the facts are there but it just doesn't flow as well as it does on t.v. or the radio. The transitions between the humor and the facts are choppy and/or nonexistant and it's written as more of an interview than a manual. I love Drew and Adam but this is perhaps not their strongest medium. Still a satisfying read and highly enjoyable.

Summary: A Good Guide From Great Guys
Review: As a fan of the radio show and a reader of the book, i can tell u that if you're not aware of dr. drew and adam carolla, ur really missing out. Also, if you have read the book and/or listened to the show and didn't enjoy it, i have 2 things to say to u: how dare you and HOW DARE YOU!!! the book deals with the issues that callers on the show have brought up. Adam's humor and Dr. Drew's common sense are the perfect combination for a good time while still learning. Although Adam's humor may not be great for yuonger kids, his "eat, sleep, and watch pornography" way of life can associate with the lifestyle of someone who is between the ages of 13-30. Adam's other personality who comes out on Loveline is called "Ace Rockolla." During the lightning round, he comes out 2 speed through caller's questions sometimes withought giving a real answer. Even if you dont have any questions about sex, masturbation, STDs, or anything, the humor of the show is great and i hope you will listen to it at least once.

Summary: Dr. Drew and Adam Book
Review: The Dr. Drew and Adam Book was hilarious and i learned a lot of information pertaining to the subjects within the cover. This book helps people from all walks of life with questions about sex and sexual related issues. Adam Carolla also spices up the book with his comedic lines. All in all i think this is a great book and should be read by all teenagers because it can help you with all the problems you face as a teenager.

Summary: Wyzeguy
Review: This book was pretty much taken out from the show except it was in a good order. i was impressed by the organization and thought it was very funny. if you are not a huge fan of the show you should save your money. However it is a good thing to have to resort to. The Gay Aptitude test is different and funnier. if you like that check the book out in the bookstore.

Summary: Good info-but judgmental
Review: I think the show has an excellent dynamic between the two hosts, and it gives a great deal of information and education to kids. But at the same time, I felt it was judgmental of the writers to say that if a guy waited until so and so age to have sex, he was having some issues, or if a girl waited beyond a certain age, she also had some issues. They encourage people to be in caring and committed relationships before having sex, yet how many people can always have a caring relationship by the age of eighteen? That is too much. And they discourage waiting until marriage to have sex. What is wrong with that? If a person wants to have premarital sex, it is their choice, and if a person wants to wait for marital sex, it is also their choice. People having premarital sex have a right not to be judged. And people waiting should not be judged on the same token. People should not be labeled as being loose for making their decisions about sex, but at the same time, those who want to be more conservative should not be labeled as having issues just because they want to have it in the context of marriage. I believe that educating America about sex is important, but I also do not believe that the hosts should label people as having such "issues" with such an authority, when it is merely their opinion, because young kids debating whether they should have sex are listening to them.

Summary: This book is my bible
Review: I was at a very low point in my life dealing with issues within the family and a physical injury that kept me away from being out of the house and playing sports. In other words I was left with nothing to do but school, physical therapy and dealing with all my family's issues. This book changed my life and my family's life dramatically. Because I read this book I was able to realize a lot of unhealthy things that were going on in my family and I changed those things. I was able to work at helping myself and I think most importantly helping out my family. We are all dealing with a lot of issues that we refused to deal with in the past and although it's tough we are working together. No other book has done so much for me. No other book. I urge you all to buy the book. It's amazing. It's like my bible. :) Personal note: Thank you so much Drew! You too Adam :)

Summary: the book is a good read but is a lot like the show
Review: the "adam and drew book: a guide to life and love," is a fairly good read. Although it read very much like the radio show or TV show of Loveline. The book lurches and screeches like careening car out of control. In other words, it will go from one topic to the next within the chapters leaving its reader confused and disorented. The book also has its funny moments when Adam makes his crass remarks. And there are a lot of crass remarks from Adam. Dr. Drew Pinsky is very frank and often sounds like medical drone spitting out facts. He is very sterile about letting his emotions come through. This book is best read when it's borrowed from the next door neighbor or checked out from the public library. But if you have the money laying in the cravasses of your sofa waitng to be be spent, then buy this book.

Summary: Very informative, but also entertaining.
Review: I thought the book was very insightful. I especially liked the chapters on depression and suicide. I didn't agree with some of the things that were said, but it's nice to know different opinions on various topics. I hope they come out with more books in the future.
