Rating: Summary: Tender, Touching, Ticklish Review: I'm afraid I must politely take issue with the reviewer from Roseville. I find the long, passionate, moody love affair between Adam and Drew utterly fascinating...and inspiring. If two such disparate (yet complementary!) men can work through their profound differences to arrive, at last, at the true spiritual and emotional equilibrium desired by all life partners, then there's hope for others. It's touching the way Adam and Drew can read each other's thoughts and finish each other's sentences. It's as if these two men had fused into one complete being, forming a perfect physical and spiritual entity. I only hope that one day my life partner and I can attain even half the loving devotion and symbiotic balance that Adam and Drew share. Anyone who gives their beautiful book anything less than rave reviews is just a small-minded, bitter, envious little person who has never known what it feels like to be made complete by experiencing true love with one's soul-mate. Thank you, Adam and Drew, for showing us the way and sharing your life of love with all of us!
Rating: Summary: Reveals His Own Issues. Review: Until Dr. Drew can deal with the fact that he has a profoundly unhealthy obsession with his radio co-host Adam Corolla, we will continue to get this kind of sublimated finger pointing. Dr. Drew often jokes of how he likes to use the urinal next to Adam or examine Adam's penis for disease. Perhaps it is a harmless schoolgirl crush, but it could be something far more insideous, after all Dr. Drew is hardly a schoolgirl. The observations in the book are obvious and Dr. Drew smartly lets Adam provide the serious medical advise. Still I am glad I have the book as it is rather funny and very useful as I read it to telemarketers when they call.
Rating: Summary: Good Book Review: I first tuned into the radio show the day after Christmas several years ago. I thought it was just the local DJ and changed the channel. Then I went back, what they were talking about was interesting. Well, I was hooked. I bought this book not too long after it came out. I had to drive to a book store becaue none of the local department stores that have books carried this one. I read it and found it easy to understand, especially with Adam's interjections. It was also entertaining. I also used it as a source for a paper I was writing in high school on teen's with mental illness. I don't remember the exact citation, but my teacher thought that using a book geared at teens for a paper on teens was a good idea. Most of the sources for my paper were psychology books. When I went to see Dr. Drew at Butler University in Indianapolis, Indiana, he made little mention of the book. He was there mostly to promote his former website. I really liked the format of the book. It was set up kind of as a question and answer session. The answers to each question weren't long and drawn out, so there wasn't a problem with information overload.
Rating: Summary: THIS BOOK IS THE BEST!!! Review: I thought Dr. Drew and Adam's book was great! i feel that people really dont fully understand the messages in the book. I own this book and have all my friends reading it. Its the type of book that once you pick it up you cant put it down!this book is the best ever!
Rating: Summary: Drew stop reading these. Review: DREW STOP READING THESE. F*** the naysayers. Then are missing your points, they're blind in there own ignorance. If you bring your theories into a large scale such as evolution and give it a moments thought they seem to fit together very well. Anyone with your rap-sheet (basicaly running a hospital) and listening to the minds of abused and molested girls (among other things) for the amount time that you have makes you more than qualified to despence the infomation and advice to these people.

Rating: Summary: Sexism, Generalizations...Corolla Review: I really love Loveline. It's entertaining. Sure, diagnosing anonymous callers in under two minutes is unethical and irresponsible, but it sure makes for a great listen. Anyway, I bought (and, sadly, read) this book because I was expecting a little deeper exploration of some of Drew's no-nonsense MDology and Adam's intoxicant fueled philosophies. I got none of that. What I got was a book that could've been assembled in a few hours. Brief rants from high atop the soapy box about how any woman who doesn't part her hair just so has been raped and raised by alcoholics, etc. and Adam isn't actually very funny. He has good timing, but a lot of what he says is just retarded. His jokes don't work on the page. Clearly Adam is looking for a father figure and wants Drew to embrace him and love him, which is why he gets so mad at callers...he just wants the attention focused on him, and his alcoholica. Don't buy this book.
Rating: Summary: Adam is an oaf Review: Whatever you do, don't waste your parents hard earned money on this book of jargon. It is the biggest waste of time. Adam doesn't know what he's talking about. He's a big dumb oaf. Do you really want to hear what a big dumb oaf has to say? He's like that boyfriend/girlfriend you had who was too afraid to love anyone. (mainly, because he/she couldn't love themselves)Amazon has thousands of great books to buy. This book, however, is not one of them. Don't jump on the bandwagon. Your problems are too important to have these guys pick them apart. They don't even know you. And they don't care. There are many people who are willing to help you. They enjoy helping others. These people are not not them.
