Rating: Summary: Awsome book! Review: I loved this book. It's an amazing journey. You do really have to have read the rest of this series first, though, because most of what happens in them is retold in this book.
Rating: Summary: Night's Child Review: I really liked this book, but I wish that there were more in the series. If you did noy know better you could think it was real. It just seems to cover everything.
Rating: Summary: A Really Good Book !!! Review: I really liked this book. After I bought it I could not put it down. I was done with it in 2 days. This book was a switch from morgan to moria.I really hope cate will write more about them. (...)
Rating: Summary: A disapointment Review: I spent 6 days reading books 1-14 in the Sweep series, building my way up to the "Super Sweep." I'd read all the books before but not for a year. The Super Sweep, though well written like the others, is a BIG disapointment. Everything about it seemed wrong, and very sad, and it fairly nearly ruined the whole experiance for me. It itself is not a bad story. But Hunter,, 16 years of wasted time, Moira, rather snobbish, the list goes on. I do not want to give away what happens though. I will say that it seems like Cate ran out of ideas. Summary; Someone near and dear dies in a tragic accident, go forward from then 16 years. Morgan is widowed, but she has a daughter who knows nothing of her mother's past. Things come back to haunt, and other secrets of the past are revealed. Everything leads up to three life or death situations and something VERY HUGE is discovered. The end of "Super Sweep" is 24 years ahead of the end of book 14. Everything has gone too fast I feel. I suggest that if you want closure for what appears to be the end of the Sweep line, only read 1-14, "Super Sweep" is not that super. -Hannah (age 15, I filled it out in this form because it was easiest, and 12 was the highest age)
Rating: Summary: the last in the sweep series but the best Review: I still cant believe this is the last one but talk about going out with a bang.I know most of you have been waiting a long time for this book and believe me,you wont be disappointed.this is an epic adventure that is a real page turner. So congratulations to Cate and thanks for the memories.
Rating: Summary: Sad in the Beggining, but Happy in the End Review: I thought this book was REALLY good. it had some sad parts thet i cried over. Moira, i thought, kept on overreacting. I mean, come ON, she doesn't need to no everything about Morgan's life. Both Morgan and Moira find out something VERY BIG! In the first part of this story, one of morgan's closest friends dies in a ferry accident on the way from Wales to Ireland. But I'm not telling you the ending, you'll have to read the book to find that out.
Rating: Summary: Morgan? That's not morgan! Review: I waited so long for this book! I bought it without a second thought. But as the story continued I felt like I was looseing my connection with Morgan. And the depressing storyline is hard to read. I'm glad I know what happened to morgan and hunter but I'm unable to connect with Morgan. She's to old. Don't get me wrong it's good book with a good ending. But make sure your willing to feel unconnected. before you read it!
Rating: Summary: Disappointment Review: I was so disappointed with this book. It is true that the book ties up a few loose ends left in the rest of the series but not ones I was interested in. like Morgan and Ciaran's relationship after book 14. The relationship dies completely. it doesn't involve any of the characters that you grew to know in the series, Bree, Robbie, Mary K, Raven, Alyce, Daniel. Also, even though this is Morgan's daughter's story, it's still the same problems all over again! "I don't know who I am anymore," "what if he's betraying me," "I have to find my father," "what the heck's going on?" blah blah blah. It's boring. This book is a TERRIBLE way to end a series. I don't recommend anyone who enjoyed the Sweep series to read this book.
Rating: Summary: It was good... Review: I would have given this book 4 and a half stars if I could, but I can't. This was one of Cate's better installments to the Sweep series, but I think it could have been better. The story line is solid, but I didn't find anything special about Moira. She didn't really bring anything new to the series. Everything she goes through is basically the same as what Morgan went through, but to a lesser degree. Morgan grew up, obviously, into the powerful witch everyone knew she would be. My only problem with that was that she stayed in Ireland, leaving everyone in the States behind. There are only slight mentions of what happened to Bree, Robby, Mary K., Raven and even her parents. I would have much rathered to have them as a vital part of the story line than Moira. :hides from rotten food being thrown in my direction: While reading this, it felt rushed. As if Cate just wanted to get this out as quick as possible. But maybe that's just how I read into it. All in all, it was a great book though. And there's a happy ending...what more could you ask for? Oh, I know! More Sweep books, but seeing as that's not going to happen...cherish these for all they're worth.
Rating: Summary: I liked this last book but it was also a disappointment.. Review: It was not what I would have expected for the last in the series. I think it went too far into the future and it wasn't fair what happened to Morgan and ESPECIALLY Hunter. They lost all that time together when they should have had all those 16 years happy, together with their daughter. I felt so sad and really broken-hearted for them. Sure there was a happy ending and they got together again like they were meant to be, but still, that didnt't ease what had happened throughout the whole book. I wish Morgan and Hunter had gotten married sooner and didn't have to go through all that pain and sorrow and separation; they're both good people who didn't deserve to have what was done to them. But Cate can't take back what she wrote and what was shown to us so those 16 years Hunter and Morgan lost will just have to be made up. Bottom Line: this book left me about 80% sad and 20% happy
