Rating: Summary: Great Book! Review: I loved the Janie books SO much, that today when I finished reading the last one, I felt like crying ! PLEASE write more!I think the last book was sort of a clifhanger. What would happen if ALL the Jfhonsons moved in with the Springs? What if Frank died? What if Hannah answered Janie's letter/
Rating: Summary: three and a half stars Review: After finishing with the other 3 books in the Janie series, i was delighted to find that there was a conclusion. I was let down greatly. I thought because all the others had been wonderful, this one would be just as awesome. I was wrong. What Janie Found was rather boring, and doesn't compair with the others. Janie suddenly turned into this monster who didn't have a heart and Stephen's girlfriend annoyed me greatly. i mean, how could he even go out with her! She just kept prying and poking, i would have had to resist the urge to slap her! The plot line was pretty stupid; i mean, i thought Lizzie told Reeve that Hannah was dead in The Voice on the Radio! whatever. i think that Ms. Cooney could have done better with this book.
Rating: Summary: The Face on the Milk Carton Review: This was such a GREAT book! I have continued on in the series and each time, could not put the books down until I finished! I have reread them over and over. This is the first in the series, and I loved it - there are so many surprises through the series, and the third book "The Voice on the Radio" shocked me with the betrayal of Reeve. Read this, and read them all, you will love them. This great story of a teen finding out she is not who she really thinks she is, will have you cheering her on, and trying to find yourself in the process. You MUST read this book!
Rating: Summary: One heck of a book! Review: This book was superb. I couldn't stop until I finished. It is suspenseful especially when it comes down to Janie and her decisions about whether or not ot do something and how her decisions affect both her families. Reeve becomes perfect and I can't tell you to much or I'll reveal the plot. Good book!
Rating: Summary: Thrilling Conclusion! Review: This book was awesome, though not as good as the prequels. I wanted to read more, so thats good. Overall I would recommend this book, but read The Face On The Milk Carton, Whatever Happened to Janie, and The Voice on the Radio first!
Rating: Summary: What did Janie find? Review: "What Janie Found" is another good book in "The Face on the Milk Carton" series, but I don't think the series should be over yet! The series starts in "The Face on the Milk Carton" when Janie finds that she was kidnapped as a child, by her "parents'" daughter. Then, in "Whatever Happened to Janie?" she tried living with her birth family. Her boyfriend, Reeve, betrayed her by telling her story on his radio show, in "The Voice on the Radio, and now, in this book, there is another turn of events. When Janie's "father" has a heart attack and a stroke, she helps out by becoming his secretary and sorting his bills. However, she notices a simple folder labled "HJ". "Hannah Johnson", she immediately knows, and she wants to find out why there is a folder for her. She thought Hannah was dead and free from hurting them again, forever! This was a good book, though rather short and unfinished, compared to the other books in the series. I'd recommend it to any young adult fan of these books, however! Be sure to read the others in the series, first, and you may also enjoy the TV movie, "The Face on the Milk Carton".
Rating: Summary: Good Book! Review: I thought this was a really good book, but I also thought that in the end she should've really met Hanna or, if Hanna is really dead, meet whoever is taking her Dad's money. It also should've said what happened between Janie and Reeve, and Janie and all four of her parents. All of the other books in the series were so good, this didn't seem like a good ending to the series. If it had more action, I think people would have liked it more too.
Rating: Summary: really good Review: I had to mark it down because they never tell you what happened to Hanna or if Janie and Reeve are really truly together. I think they should have ended the book with Reeve asking her to marry him or somthing like that. I would have given it a 5 but there was to many loose ends that I think she should have tied up. There should be another book writen just to tell what happened after the book ended. I wish all of it wasn't over it was such a good line of books!
Rating: Summary: Disappointment plus! Review: I loved the first three "Janie" books but this onewas a big yawn! Enough psychobabble and interpersonal reactions. Ikept waiting for all the anaylsying to pay off and it never did. The point of this story was all over the place and the characters are so annoying that you want Hannah to show up just to add some spice to the mix. As for Stephen's girlfriend, why would he just suddenly find her so annoying? She annoyed me from the second she was introduced. And then they make up straight away after she insults him and his family! I kept waiting for the action to happen and it never did. I think the story should have ended with book 3. Bummer!
Rating: Summary: "What Janie Found" Review: "What Janie Found" by Carolyn B. Cooney WARNING: IF YOU HAVE NOT READ "THE FACE ON THE MILK CARTON", "WHATEVER HAPPEND TO JANIE" AND "THE VOICE ON THE RADIO ", THIS BOOK REVIEW COULD GIVE AWAY IMPORTANT HIGHLIGHTS IN THE BOOKS ABOVE. DO NOT READ FARTHER! Janie Johnson, or shall I say Jenny Spring? Janie, the name that she chooses to keep, finds out that her parents aren't realy her true parents, but they are the only parents that she has ever known. "What Janie Found" is the fourth book in the Janie series. In this book, Janie's curiosity and hatred toward Hannah (her kiddnapper) leads her to try and find Hannah. Her father had fallen into a coma, and Janie had to help with the bills, cleaning up, and other chores. While she searches through the bills, she finds a file labled "HJ". She knew that this simply means one thing: Hannah Johnson. She peers into the folder and finds a check with an address. That's where Hannah is! All this time her father had been supporting Hannah. Janie had thought that Hannah was dead, in a cult somewhere, in a bad situation, but atleast she was out of there lives! One thing: Janie knows something about the place where Hannah is. This is where... this is the place I shall stop, or I will give it all away. Read this book to find out what happends.
