Summary: Hmm...
Review: I'm sorry, I liked this book, but I can't help feeling I've seen it all before somewhere. Let's put it this way; a small group of teenagers stumbling across something supernatural, in this case a fantasy world where Vikings battle Aztecs, is not an original concept. Perhaps these teenagers could have been made a bit younger. It's more interesting to see how a younger person would react to that kind of situation instead of the usual "Er, guys...", "Oh, man" and "Whoa!". Also, this may be just my view, but if I'd been grabbed by a huge Viking god with a giant pet wolf and I'd wet myself out of fear, would my companions really find the time between being really scared to criticize me for it? Don't be fooled, I did like the first Everworld installment, and hopefully this motley group of young adults will become more accustomed to the surprises of Everworld and we won't be treated to the usual cliched responses.

Summary: A clever thrilling adventure!
Review: My sister and I both being avid Animorphs fans, we didn't hesitate to get this book when it first came out. What an adventure it is to read this book! Five teenagers are pulled into a world that exists in your dreams and nightmares, full of wars, mythology, and fairytales. It has many of the great qualities of Animorphs; suspense, extreme emotions, fights, vivid descriptions, deep thoughts, and a thrill of adventure. Along with these characteristics are allusions to mythology, giving you a chance to learn the myths of the past, which still exist in Everworld. K.A. is a genious when it comes to crafting books! This book proves it!

Summary: Thouroughly addictive
Review: This is the first Applegate book I have read so far, and I was so drawn to it that I had completed it in less than half of a day! A very imaginative book, though I don't expect that an adult would enjoy it(of course there certainly must be a few exceptions). This is also not for any reader who does not enjoy fantasy. However for one who does, this is a lot of fun to read.

Summary: EverWorld Review
Review: I just finished reading Search for Senna and I had to come comment. Originally, I only bought it because I'd heard some people talking about it and figured I ought to at least know what they were discussing. I started flipping through the first couple of pages and found myself completely hooked. The book has just the right blend of scifi and reality that made me read it in a day. Each of the characters was well described, but Senna was the most interesting. She's mysterious, intelligent, and beautiful. David is captivated with her, but will she be his doom or his salvation, as the new kid in town and the new kid in Viking civilization? Many people have voiced concerns over the cursing in the books. Basically, there are two ways to curse: you can curse just to say the word or you can curse to provide emphasis. K.A. Applegate's characters aren't cursing just because they enjoy, or she enjoys, saying the words. In fact, I only remember one curse word in the first book, and only that because the scene was so powerful and memorable that I can quote the entire page. The only downfall to this book is that I now have to go get the rest of them :-)

Summary: Good Story - too easy of a read
Review: The mix of fantasy & sci-fi is great - but this book (& series) has problems with the age it is gear to. There is questionable content and swear words for kids who are too young to read YOUNG ADULT - however it is too easy of a read for a YOUNG ADULT. Take out the swear words and questionable content and a 7 year old would be able to read this book easily. Young Adult books should be more challenging and have more depth.

Summary: Great!
Review: This is an excellent book for any age. I would recommend it to anyone. When David's girlfreind Senna (hence the title) disappears at the end of the dock, he and four other freinds must rescue her, even if it means travelling to another universe to find her. The only thing some of you might not like about it is that some of the things are a little hard-to-believe. I don't have a problem with that kind of stuff, it's just that I know some people don't like those kinds of things. (I'm just warning you)

Summary: Exciting Story but Simple Writing Style
Review: The mix of sci-fi and fantasy is great work. The story line is exciting and the characters are developed well. However, the writing style is too simple for young adult readers. Some of the content makes it questionable reading for young readers but the style should be more challenging for young adult readers.

Summary: An awesome book! You must read! ~
Review: This book is very interesting throughout and can vary with surprise and suspension. Being a fantasy, it is very well written. If you like Animorphs, you'll definetly love this. At times it can be confusing because you can't tell if he's dreaming or in reality but other than that, it's put together creatively. I highly recommend this to anyone(ages 11+).

Summary: Mildly entertaining
Review: If you're looking for great fantasy, look somewhere else. These books borrow cliches from all sorts of other teen fantasies and don't even bother to get their mythology right. They're non-stop action, but there's no resolution at all at the end: it's less a series than a serialized book. I had less problem with the occasional swearing than with the way this book felt like only one chapter, not a complete book.

Summary: Coolest Book Series
Review: The first time I layed eyes on this book series, I was looking at the first couple of pages of Everworld #2 and it sounded cool. I planned on buying it but found out it was the second book of a series. So I went out and bought #1 and #2. After reading Search for Senna, I'm astounded at how good the author's detail is. The ocassional blood, gore, and profanity just add to the book's appeal. I can't wait to read the second book! Every book ends making you want to hear the rest of the story and buy the next book. I never read Animorphs but have seen the TV show once or twice and it didnt seem that great. When I found out the author of the Everworld series was the same author as Animorphs, I thought Everworld would be lame. But after I read it, I saw how wrong I was. I'd suggest this series to any interested in Horror or Fantasy books.
