Rating: Summary: An excellent book series. Review: A truly excellent book. Join these teens as they go from Atlantis, the Underworld, Olympus, and as they meet Dragons, Trolls, Gnomes, Elfs, even Fairies. A fantastic fantasy adventure. I wasn't a very big fan of Tolkien, but this is ten times better than Tolkien could ever write, (No offense to Tolkien Fans) Believe me, if you like good fantasy books, then these are the books for you. Also, Applegate can take these teens who come from Chicago, and put them in a world where anything goes and actually makes it look believable. Very few Authors could do that. Read these books.
Rating: Summary: The beginning of a great adventure... Review: This is definately the series beginning any book should have. I'm no professional but let me give you a prospective from a 15-year old. The cover is very catchy, very eye-appealing. One of those freaky ones that you have to hide from view when you want to go to sleep. The story has a great start putting you into the shoes of a average teenage boy named David, handsome and macho. By the way, the narative is great as you move along the series. David's girlfriend, Senna is a girl that should be looked twice. When questions are asked, David and 4 friends, including Senna, are swept away to another universe. April is the fun loving red head who always stays cool in the toughest situation. Christopher is the always laughing, picking on, macho football player jock, never taking anything really serious. And Jalil, the obessive-complusive teenage genious, always looking for a scientific explanation for everything. Each book will put you in someone else's shoes as the narrator, being able to see what each character feels about the other or thinks. I will say that the text is slightly graphic and adult language is mild but put all together, it could be put on the top of the list with the Trilogy of Earthsea and the chronicles of Narnia. ENJOY! And don't give up. i know 12 books is alot but the series will keep you guessing until the end!
Rating: Summary: A Good Start Review: I really wasn't expecting much from this book. I just needed a quick read before I read The Stand. I was suprised by this book. It was thrilling, with fun characters. It is a good book for those who want to gt into fantasy.I can't wait to read the next installment.
Rating: Summary: The Mystical Everworld Review: This review is from the eyes of and child and being of 14 years old, I recommend this book to anyone with a vibrant imagination. The interesting thing about this story line is that each of the following sequels are told in the eys of someone else, in which you learn things that the other characters don't know. 5 stars! Easily! Read it. Though it is a 12-books series you need to read them all to find the conclusion. I've read the whole thing and it got better book by book! Enjoy and beware, readers, of the rulers;Loki, Hel Fenir, Merlin, and more, of Everworld!
Rating: Summary: Good Review: The book has a lot of good details, but has many swear words in it's content.
Rating: Summary: Everworld Review: Have you ever had a dream that felt so real, you thought mabey you were not dreaming at all? David, Jalil, Christopher, and April all go to the same school, but hardly know eachother. One morning they all find themselves down at the lake, but don't really know why. The only other person there is Senna.Suddenly they all wake up in a place called Everworld, hanging from the mythological god Loki's castle. To avoid being killed they escape, leaving them in a strange knew world full of Unbelieveable creatures and beings. The wierd part is when they fall asleep in Everworld, they wake up at home, but only for a while. They always return to a nightmare. Are there two of each of them? Is it a dream? After reading this book, I was definately glad to be home.An original fast paced plot, full of suspense and mythological beings,I would recomend this book to any science fiction lover.
Rating: Summary: Everworld "Search for Senna" Review: Overall, this was a pretty good book. I love to read fiction stories, basically the ones that have to do with magic, etc... I gave this book a rating of 4. I couldn't give it a 5 because i still felt like there was something missing from it. It was very interesting to read, but I really don't like it when books just end...leave off, and make you wait to read the next, (It is a pretty long series). This book has a lot to deal with Dreams, and fantasy, yet combined into a sort of freaky reality. If you like fiction, or if you just like to read in general, I suggest this book. I'm not quite so sure about the whole series because I have not read the other books yet, but I'm sure they get better by the book. If you are interested in a book that will make you keep wanting to read more to find out what happens next, this is a good one. It close to being rated a 5. What a good book!
Rating: Summary: The Best Review: I think This is a very good book for how it tells you what happends leading up to when she goes to everworld.
Rating: Summary: The Search Has Begun........ Review: April,David,Christopher, and Jalil had only one thing in comon,They all knew a girl named Senna....Why they were where they were that day was fate,or maybe not...Anyway they all watched as IT came and swallowed Senna,Why they ran to help they don't know, maybe it really was fate....But they DID run to help and, they DID get swallowed up by IT.....Now they are in a land that shouldn't exist, but does...A land where fantasic things happen, and Nightmares become Reallity.....Where are they? They are in Everworld.............
Rating: Summary: A good book considering it had to introduce everything Review: THe book was ok considering it had to introduce everyone but it did a good job getting me hooked and it didn't waste time introducing everyone which I liked.
