Summary: ~*An o.k. book*~
Review: I had to read this book for a banned book assignment, but I probably should have read something like Go Ask Alice instead. "Izzy, Willy-Nilly" was sorta exciting in the beginning when she describes the car crash, but after that point it gets pretty depressing and boring. This book was thought-provoking though, that's for sure. I mean, what would I be like if I lost a whole leg?!The teen characters' dialog don't really seem like something I, a 14-year-old, would say. BUT, it does show how even though your "friends" might leave you cuz you're disabled, you can still have a great shoulder to lean on (literally), sometimes whom you'd least expect (in this case non-pretty & non-glamorous and smartie Rosamunde). AND, if you are disabled, if people really know you, they won't even realize the crutches. =)

Summary: It relates to teenagers.
Review: I read this book when I was in the seventh - grade.I loved it so much because of the depth it had to do with teenager's life and how kids choose their friends and judge them. This book is for all ages and has diffrent meanings to each person. I recommend this to everyone who loves strong meaningful novels.

Summary: Learning the hard way...
Review: Izzy Willy Nilly is a wonderful story for teen readers. It shows that looks is not everything and that if you believe you can achieve. Izzy belived in herself and learned the hard way that even your closest friends aren't there for you when you need them the most. Anyone who disagrees with me muct not realize what true beuty really is. I recoment this for any teen who has ever had a dream.

Summary: Great Book!
Review: This is a wonderful work of literature for young adults. It is a story of personal triumph of a young woman growing up faster than she has to to due to a tradgic accident that almost cost her her own life. She learns to cope with hard times and overcome it. Izzy is a wonderful book that I would recommend highly.

Summary: It Makes You Realize How Lucky You Are
Review: When I read this book, I was touched at how emotional a 15 year old's life can be. The story of a girl who's leg was amputated, after being in a car accident with a drunk driver. Cynthia Voigt did a wonderful job describing characters from this book, and told a great story of the little girl, who's life was almost destroyed. I think that this book is an honor to own, and a wonderful addition to any bookshelf.

Summary: This is a great book that everybody should read.
Review: Izzy, Willy-Nilly is a book that shows that your life can change in an instant, mainly when you least expect it to. The main character, Izzy, is in a drunk driving accident, and the outcome is so bad, that she has to have her leg amputated. From that point on, Izzy has to live with the fact that she will never again have things the way they used to be. This is an awesome book because it allows you to understand more about coping with a disability/handicap, and the fact that it happened to a young woman, makes it even easier to understand.

Summary: A different book
Review: I thought this book was very different from the ones I've read in the past. When i finished the book, I thought to myself: that was a really good book. Then, about a day later when I had time to reflect on it I thought differently. This book was about a teenager who loses pratically everything becasue of a drunk driver. She doesn't achive much and all she really does is cry about things. I thought the real person in the book was Rosamunde-her new friend-. She decided to help Izzy who was a brat. I wouldn't have done that. But- the reason that i'm not giving this book 1 star is because this book taught how disabled people really may feel, so now I won't stare or feel sorry for the person, I will just ignore there disablility.

Summary: Shallow Girl Has To Become Amputee To Grow
Review: I remember reading this book when I was an adolescent, and how I just did not relate to the main character Izzy at all. She is just a shallow and popular cheerleader type until she gets into a car accident and must have a leg amputated. Suddenly, all her groovy friends stop calling and she is no longer BWOC. Because none of the cool kids will hang with her because of the stigma of her disability, she is sort of forced through her new associations with more down to earth people to be less shallow and more mature. I was just not that impressed with her growth or this book.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Thought-provoking and enjoyable
Review: I really like this book. I find that Izzy is a very good character. She worries about the things that all teenage girls do as well as the fact that she has lost a leg. I thought that it was really sad how all of her friends deserted her but I guess that in situations like that you discover who your real friends are. I would thouroughly recommend this book to anyone.
