Tucker and Cristina have been going out since eigth grade, and becca and cody since tenth. they are all best friends, and one night after a football party in another town, they hit black ice because of another driver and the law of right hand passing, and they swerve of the rode into a ditch. No one was wearing a seatbelt except for tucker and as a result crisitina is dead, cody is in a coma, and tucker and becca have to live on. this book shows how life can change for everyone in a few short seconds and how it effects the different people.
Telling Cristina goodbye is a perfect compelling novel that shows a different life. it pulls the reader in the story and lets them live the life of each of the characters and shows how different things can alture the way of life for everyone.
I recommend this book to anyone who is willing to learn a hard lesson about friendship, death, and overcoming the loss of things.

Summary: Hard times
Review: Do you think your life is perfect? With a perfect family, perfect boyfriend, perfect school, perfect best friend, and parents that are going to pay your way to collage in the fall? If so that's great, it's exactly what Trisha Thompson thought until well....tragedy stuck. Was that winter night a fatal accident or a homicide? Trisha Thompson was a senior at Mooresville High. She had a great family and friends that supported her all the way, including her boyfriend Cody. Trisha was a small town girl, very sensitive and very caring, especially to her best friend Christina Eckloe. Trisha was always there for Christina when her boyfriend Tucker Hanson wasn't nice and fought with her. When the four pile into a car to go a basketball game at Henderson High one of them doesn't walk away alive and the other three have to deal with the guilt of living, and knowing one of their own is lost forever.
I really liked Telling Christina Goodbye by Lurlene McDaniel. It was very exciting, romantic, and dramatic. It showed the honest truth of life. It could have really happened and wasn't fake even if it was a fiction. It wasn't like Cinderella where they all live happily ever after. Telling Christina Goodbye made me laugh and cry at the same time. Some parts were showing the humor of teenagers and other parts were showing how dangerous horsing around in a car could be. That's the one reason I did not like the book because it was so depressing to read about the death of a very innocent teenager. It made your eyes damp and you reached for a Kleenex because it's not right for a teenager to die so young, but overall Telling Christina Goodbye was one of the best books I have ever read.

Christina Eckloe and her two friends,Trisha Thompson, and Cody McGuire were being driven home from a football game by Chrissy's overly-controlling boyfriend Tucker Hanson. When Tuck slides on a patch of black ice and the car flips,it leaves Trisha in the hospital,Cody in a coma, and Chrissy dead.Trisha walks out of the hospital a few weeks later and learns that her boyfriend, Cody is in a coma.Trisha and Tuck have to work together to get Cody back and to leave behind the sorrow the over-throws them.

Summary: GOOD- BYE CHRISTINA
Review: I just finished reading this book and it was the best book that I have ever read ini my entire life. It was a book that was filled with sadness and drama. I felt really sad for Trisha on her loosing her best friend adn a person she loved. I was happy that many people did things to remember Christina by, like making that memorial at where the accident took place, and how the school had a ceremony for her. It was very sad that Christina's life ended so short, but to know that she is in heaven, resting in peace where she belongs. I love this author, she writes the most depressing and sad books that make you wat to turn the pages and read what will happen next. This book taught me to cherish my friends, and treat everyday like it was your last day. GOOD BYE CHRISTINA.

Summary: A good book about teen death
Review: I just read this book, after ordering it for my classroom (I like to preview what's in my classroom library before making it available). This book hits the nail on the head: How do teens go on with their lives when one of their friends dies?

This story hit close to home for me, since I lost a good friend while in high school...and we were in a car accident together, just like the characters in this book. I lived, he didn't. Like Trisha, I had to accept the fact that accidents happen and sometimes not everyone lives. We all make mistakes, it's just how you work through them that makes you a better, stronger person and helps you to grow.

I can't think of a better book that deals with all of the emotions and quesitons that teens face when a peer dies. This author definitely knows her stuff and I would gladly recommend this book (and most of her others) to the teens in my classroom. It is high on detail (the senory details in the accident scene were excellent) and content.

Summary: Great Book
Review: I loved this book. It's one of Lurlene McDaniel's best books. Its about a girl, Trisha, her best friend, christina. One night Trisha and Christina, along with Cody (trisha's boyfriend) and tucker (christina's boyfriend0 were returning home from a basketball game. Tucker was driving. His car hit a patch of ice and the car was totaled. Trisha walked away with minor bruises and so did tucker. But Christina had died, and Cody had gone into a coma. Trisha can't cope with the fact that her best friend is dead.
I loved this book because it made me feel as if i was one of the charachters.

Review: I thought this was a good book for friends to read together. It showed how much you would miss a friend if they died. It also showed the meaning of friendship and loyalty. If you and a friend are looking for a book to read together this would be an awesome book to choose.

Summary: Telling Christina Goodbye
Review: I'm really shocked that every single customer review on this site is so supportive and loving of it. To be honest, I was extremely disappointed and unimpressed with "Telling Christina Goodbye". I am an avid, insane reader and I have been known to cry if a book touches me, but this one had no effect on me. It felt like the author was constantly trying to teach me a lesson, and not subtly. The storyline didn't have much depth and you never really know why they are supposed to care so deeply with each other. The characters are unrealistic and did not resonate with me at all. So, I felt that I should put my opinion in to let potential customers know that it might not be as great as these other reviewers think. I truly wish I hadn't wasted five dollars on it.
